Bò Né Bà Nũi

VERY popular spot, there was a line the entire time we were there! We got the Bo ne trung + pate, which was all very delicious. They even make their own tea in-house, which our party really liked. The only thing is that they need more workers (I think it might be family run?), because we couldn’t get our check for awhile even after asking multiple times, and then others couldn’t take our table because we still had to pay. But otherwise, really good food!

I visited Bò Né Ba Núi today in Saigon, as it happened to be just around the corner from our hotel. The place is clearly popular, there were both locals and tourists dining there, and we had to wait about five minutes before a table became available. The food is cooked right in front of the restaurant over a large open flame, which creates quite a bit of heat. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend sitting too close to the grill area. We ordered the bò né trứng pâté and the nui xào bò, which had a nice wok-hay flavor. Both dishes were delicious and freshly prepared. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and can definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty and satisfying bò né in Saigon.

Researched about this place. Good walking distance from my hotel equates to good exercise before breakfast 🤣 Ordered a hotplate of beef, egg & pate along with a serving of banh mi. It’s a small portion as most local are small eaters. It is nothing to rave about, just a different version of steaks & eggs. One could identify the American influence in this dish.

Another must-try spot while you’re in HCMC! 🇻🇳✨ Their combo is just chef’s kiss 😍 — tender beef, juicy sausages, creamy beef pâté, and that sunny side up egg sitting perfectly on top. The rich gravy with caramelized onions ties everything together beautifully. And when you scoop it all up with warm, crusty bánh mì… ohhh it’s pure happiness in every bite! 🥖🔥 Trust me, you’ll be dreaming about this one after! 😋

There's a time when streetfood becomes entertaining as well as wholesome. Bò Né the fabulous Vietnamese sizzling steak dish is a great meal for its Steak, Egg, Onions and Bread Baguette content, with other optional additions available, but also to observe the cooks skillfully handling the hot iron plates on which the dish is served. This restaurant does attract many tourists as well as locals, but the young active staff will set up extra tables in an instant to cater for the sudden rush of hungry patrons. The food itself is absolutely worth the trip, flavorful and affordable. And the restaurant has many other delights to savour, should this not be your first visit, and wish to try something new. The seating and tables were adequately spaced, with a distance required to allow the sizzling dish not to mark your clothing. This place is essential to be on your Saigon list to sample Bò Né. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great service. The owner pulled a table and more stools out for us and set it up in the shade. Delicious Bo ne skillet. I wish I would have gotten two for myself. If you sit outside you will get the full atmosphere experience with cars and scooters zipping by you.

This place is just for tourists and the Bò né here is just ok! It is overpriced and you don’t get a lot for your money here. The quality of beef isn’t great and the Bò né is very oily (you can ask for less oil) and a bit salty, service isn’t great either it can take a long time for your food to arrive. There is so many better places than here that are half the price and taste so much better and give you more, this is just a TikTok tourist place and you rarely see a Vietnamese person eating here. Many other places I go for Bò né and one place in particular the Bò né is made with a sauce and oil but it’s not oily, the quality of beef is really good and you get thick strips of beef and there is so many flavors it just tastes amazing, in this other place you get Bò né with sausage, banh mi and a side vegetables for 45k.

food is delicious! bread is included in the bo ne! staff do speak a bit of english. it is a bit dirty but for the local experience it is nice. a bit hot inside so sit outside when you’re there to eat. pay in cash is better since it’s more efficient! it is affordable but price has been going up.
