I came here for my birthday meal while visiting Lisbon. We were really well looked after by Jairo and Nixon ( see photos). They were polite, charming and attentive. I loved the range of food on the menu. Since I'm visiting Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia in September, I ordered a dish from each of these countries. I thoroughly enjoyed them. I also enjoyed the refreshing cocktails.

Although we couldn’t get a reservation online, we decided to try our luck and were happy to get a table for two. The Pad Thai was outstanding – easily the best I’ve ever had. The spring rolls were also excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do. Overall, a great experience – I’ll definitely be coming back.

Google
They offer a wide range of Asian cuisines. A few are vegan. I wish they had vegan noodle soup. The Vietnamese cold noodle salad with tofu was vegan and very tasty! The tofu was so well made. The dining environment was comfortable. Staff were smiley, friendly and humorous.

We had an amazing meal at Boa-Bao! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The cocktails and the mocktails were a solid 10 out of 10. Everything was perfectly balanced and really refreshing. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the whole place is very well organized. Service was fast but never rushed, everything came out in perfect timing. The atmosphere is fun and the restaurant is located in one of the most charming neighborhoods in Lisbon. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Truly a fantastic experience from start to finish!

I love a good dinner with the view (the view being the staff — male, female and otherwise). They are also lovely and efficient. I ordered the tiger shrimp pad thai and it was DELICIOUS with the perfect amount of heat! Ambiance really leans into the sultry and moody vibe with candle/low lighting. I will definitely be eating here again and it’s within walking distance to so many attractions! A true win win.

Google
We made reservations for the incorrect day and they still made it possible to fit us in and offered to keep the reservations if we wanted to return on the correct day. We ordered all small sharing plates and enjoyed everything. We enjoyed the Fried Pork & Shrimp wonton (A16) and the Dim Sum Assortment (A1) the best out of all the dishes we ate. The ambiance is very nice and fits the food perfectly.

The reservations online were so limited, we thought this place was really busy. We even changed our plans to make our reservation. Reach the spot and it was very empty We ordered the pork belly bun, crispy chicken bun, massaman curry and chicken satay. Overall, the only thing that was really food was the massaman curry - rest was very average. Satay lacked much flavour, pork belly bun was just sad. The crispy chicken bun was decent. While service was good, was put off by the hype created on the booking page. There were a number of empty tables yet booking was hard. I’d rate this 3.5/5

Google
Absolutely loved the dinner at Boa-Bao! Had a craving for some spicy Asian food, so we dropped by here on our last night in Lisbon. Fried Calamari - wonderfully crunchy and it went beautifully well with the tamarind dip Chicken Satay - juicy chicken and a phenomenal peanut sauce Sea Bass Bao - this was our fav dish, and had the most interesting mix of flavors and textures. Superb, and a must try! Pad Thai - this was one of the better ones I’ve had, outside of Thailand. Super fresh! The service was quick, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Overall, fantastic experience here and will definitely be back on our next visit to Lisbon!

Yelp
Duck spring rolls were so good, we ordered a second. Beef Redeng was very tender and packed with flavor. Ate every bite. Shrimp noodle salad was fresh and citrusy.

Yelp
After a week of eating mostly Portuguese cuisine, we were quite happy to find Boa-Bao. Such an interesting Asian fusion concept of Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese combined cuisine in one restaurant. Except for the Bao, they almost pulled it off. Our Peking, pork belly, and crispy chicken bao were salty and heavy with Hoisin sauce. The buns were stale and a little chewy. Other dishes (Tiger Shrimp Pad Thai, Rendang Beef, and Tiger Shrimp Phuket Hokkien Mer Stir-Fried Noodles) were on point and tasty. The staff did their job but was not very engaging or as friendly.

Yelp
We had a delicious last meal in Lisbon. Service was great, and the place has a very cool vibe and ceiling. The food: - Dumplings Full of different flavors and highly recommend - Pecking duck rolls Small but full of flavor and a sweet sauce on the side - Wontons Delicious and a nice sweet chili sauce to accompany it - Chicken Pad Thai Seriously good and a lot of food. Easy to split amongst a few people Strongly recommend a visit over to Boa Bao. Smaller appetizers that pack a real punch, and a really flavorful pad thai!

Yelp
This place is straight fire!!! Especially the Chicken Pad Thai (Medium). They offered a hot and thank god I didn't go that route! Also had the Peking Duck egg rolls which were amazing and a Bao Crispy Chicken. The service was awesome and the restaurant is beautiful! This place was right around the corner from my hotel and unfortunately I didn't explore it until the last night. Don't let my mistake also be yours! Go early and often!!

Yelp
I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for delicious asian food. The menu has a variety of options, including soups, rice dishes, and noodle dishes. I had chicken fried rice and chicken satay. The food was very tasty and flavorful. The waiters were friendly and attentive. The location was in a prime location. There was indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has a heater to keep guests warm.

Yelp
This place gets 5 stars for ambience, as the inside is really well decorated and the themes of the drink and food menu are super memorable (basically taking you on a journey to Asia). But the food itself really leaves much to be desired. We ordered baos, curry, a noodle dish, and everything was just ok. There was no real depth of flavor or umami that you look for when you order Vietnamese/ Thai dishes. In retrospect would definitely not order the green curry and dim sum appetizer again. The dim sum sampler was such a small portion and was not easily shareable amongst two people. Service was also lacking as the waitress kept forgetting table ordered what and kept getting confused with another order. We had to ask twice to receive our appetizer after our entrees already came out. I think this is a good spot to grab a casual drink and check out the asian theme but not to have a full blown dinner like me and my friend had.

Yelp
I had seen Boa-Bao on a Lisbon travel influencer's page and on our last night, I was craving Asian so we headed over. It was only a 10 min walk from our Airbnb so definitely convenient. Upon arrival at around 8:30pm, there was quite a crowd. They don't accept reservations so we put our name down and were told it would be 20-35 min wait. No problem, I was expecting that based on the website. After about 5 minutes, we asked if we could sit at the bar for small bites and were told we could actually be seated already. Awesome! The interior is really cool and eclectic with warm lighting and a brick ceiling. We chose a table in the back outdoor seating area where there was a nice breeze . To drink, my husband opted for a bottle of Tsingtao and I had the Jamu Tonic. It was the best mocktail I've had and just €4. The beer came in a very cool Boa-Bao sleeve. To start, we went with the Boa Bao Delight which came with two of each: vegetarian spring rolls, Peking duck spring rolls, vegetarian samosas, fried wontons, and fried pork dim sum. All of them were very tasty especially with the dipping sauces that came on the side. We also ordered one classic pork belly bao bun and one order of shrimp rice paper rolls which came with two small rolls. I'm not a huge fan of bao buns but I figured since it's in the name, we couldn't go without trying it. It was very tasty. Summer rolls are one of my favorite dishes and the shrimp rolls did not disappoint though they weren't the best I've ever had. For the main course, my husband had a chicken pad Thai and I ventured for the japchae noodles with chicken. Both were delicious. We weren't sure if we could fit dessert but the menu options were so enticing, I couldn't pass it up. We ultimately decided on the Café Saigon which was absolutely the right choice. It's essentially a Vietnamese affogato. Absolutely delicious. I wish I could have one every day. So so good. All of this came out to just €85 which felt like a steal compared to Miami prices. The service was a bit slow but kind and pleasant. I think this may just be the Portuguese way as we've had the same experience at all the restaurants we've dined at during our travels here. Absolutely would recommend.

Yelp
What a hip and fun place! I would give 5 stars for the vibe and 3 for the food. I had the salt and pepper gluten free calamari. It was okay. Not much flavor. I also had the sticky rice. For drinks, I had the NA Mango Khan which was fun. I was still hungry and got the spring rolls (Goi Cuon) but the paper wasn't chewy. It was mushy like a pasta. The other got pad Thai and they all loved it. But it has peanuts and I'm allergic.

Yelp
Great place near the barrio alto. The food is pretty good and didn't disappoint. Service is very fast when you beat the peak times otherwise you'll be waiting for awhile since this place gets full all the time. The only con is that it's a bit pricey and their portions tend to be on smaller size.

Yelp
"What's a bao?" I was sitting on a bench right next to the host stand at the front of the restaurant, waiting for my takeaway order to be finished, when I must've heard this question twice. (And it took no time at all to get my food, so twice is really saying a lot about the significance of Boa-Bao's bao offering on the Lisbon culinary scene.) Boa-Bao is one of the hottest restaurants in Lisbon--I saw it pop up far too many times when I was looking up restaurants in town. Which means that this place, just a short walk from attractions like the Carmo Convent and Santa Justa Elevator in Chiado, caters to a specific social media aesthetic. The interior is picture perfect and they try to sell you on a "journey through Asia" as their menu features passport stamp visuals and food from 13 different countries in Asia. I had misgivings about the whole "jack of all trades, master of none" hole they were digging themselves into, but my bao craving was calling. I swung by around 2:45 PM. (Keep an eye on the clock: Boa-Bao closes between 3:30-6:30 PM every day.) I tried the crispy chicken bao and the eggplant bao. In hindsight I should've skipped the eggplant bao and tried the peking duck bao instead. The crispy chicken bao was nearly a euro cheaper at €5.85 and the tamarind sauce combined with the fried chicken was a winner (winner, almost chicken dinner). There were a few seats available on the patio when I was there, but I hopped on the Metro to enjoy my baos while soaking up the sun in Eduardo VII Park. Need another reason to compare Lisbon with San Francisco? It warmed my Californian heart to see that my bao was in a sturdy reusable container and that Boa-Bao encouraged us to reuse it.

Yelp
A really cool fusion restaurant with a travel theme which I totally ate up! They offer bao, noodles, curries and really yummy drinks! It's located right in the heart of the Chiado neighborhood so it was an easy walk from the area we were staying in, in Rossio. They don't take reservations, but they were pretty busy. We were able to sit at the bar while we waited for a table to open up - didn't take too long though! We ordered some drinks (one of them was their special spritz drink) and then got their vegetarian dim sum which included some dumplings and then two pieces of their vegetarian bao, and shared their special stir fry noodles. We also got some kimchi. It was a LOT of food! So definitely good to share with others. Prices were fare and service was wonderful!

Yelp
We were looking for an early dinner before our sunset bar reservations. Most other places are closed until 6:30 pm, but we were ready at 5:30 to eat! Thankfully, they were open for continuous service and ready for us! The inside has AC which felt great too. Menu is expansive and super cute theme, I went with the crispy chicken bao and the tofu pad thai! Both were delicious. The chicken satay was also lovely. In case it matters to some people, they do take Amex! Had a great time, especially since we were looking for something other than traditional european fare.

Yelp
I say this is a go! I mean, dim sum in Portugal? Really? Consumed by curiosity about how one of my favorite foods might be interpreted, I had to go. I was not disappointed. I mean, it's not totally what I am accustomed to as I live in the lap of authentic Asian cuisine, but Boa Bao got very close to what I wanted. The dim sum was good by its own right in any event. Without comparison, totally good and impressive! Slight bend to the Portuguese palate but yet each dish maintained its authenticity. Presentation was very nicely done too. Each dish arrived. Piping hot and in addition to great tasting was visually pleasing. This is a great spot for a date. Romantic and intimate with exceptional non-intrusive service. Cocktails were very good as well. It was a little expensive given other restaurants in the area, but in addition to paying for pretty food, one is paying for atmosphere. Not an "every night" spot, but a good place to make a weekly event or when you are in Portugal and craving dim sum!

Yelp
The Pad Thai was actually very good! We wanted something different so we settled in on eating Thai in Lisbon lol but this did not disappoint! The service and festive ambiance gave off a nice vibe that is hard to describe. Give this place a chance if you're want a break from Mediterranean :)

Yelp
Lovely little Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of Lisbon. They offer an extensive patio with heaters, and a cozy indoor seating area. I've come back twice to Boa-Bao during trips to Lisbon and it remains to be a comfy and lively spot to get a good drink and snack. The stars of this spot are the craft cocktails, I've had a blast watching the talented bartenders do their thing, and their mocktail offerings are fantastic too! Stars on the menu are definitely the bao buns, but I've enjoyed the padtai noodles as well. Perhaps skip the shrimp here, both times I've had it, they've come out shriveled and overcooked. If things are busy, they'll let you order cocktails at the window (outside) so you can sip while you wait for a table.
google avatar

Joanna T.

Yelp
Super trendy Asian fusion spot with prices to match. Boa-Bao does not take reservations so get there early or prepare for a wait. It's been rated as one of the best restaurants in the city so it's always hopping. We started with several apps - the dim sum sampler, samosas and a large BBQ pork bao. Definitely worth getting several to share if you have a group. For a main, I had the larb salad which IMO isn't really a salad - it's cold diced chicken with some veggies. That said, it's absolutely delicious - the dressing was fresh and light and it's a great option for something a little lighter. Service was absolutely slammed but working hard to take care of people. BB is a great place for a group, or if you're looking for someplace with a lot of energy.
google avatar

Gerald L.

Yelp
Perhaps one of the best pad Thai dishes I've had. And the Tom Yam Kung soup was very good as well. But they are most famous for the baos, but I think the Peking duck bao wasn't that great. They didn't include the crispy duck skin like it should have.
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
Delicious Asian style restaurant. We came here on a Thursday and it was busy. We should have made reservations but we chanced it. We had 10 people and waited about an hour. The best thing was they give you a ticket to order drinks and apps out the window while you wait. It made the time pass and we sat and talked with other travelers. When we finally sat l, the staff were nice and moved quickly. I ordered the salmon bulgogi and it was very flavorful! Make a reservation if you have a big group!

Yelp
Incredible cocktails, incredible duck bao, incredible pad Thai, and great curry. Service is nice, ambience is alright. It gets a bit crowded indoors, but luckily they have a patio. So for Covid safety I do recommend this place because there is nice outdoor seating. If it's raining they will not seat you outside though. The bathrooms are also well kept
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Wife needs gluten free and we came here twice during our Lisbon trip. Awesome food! Outdoor seating available and very friendly staff.

Yelp
I was not looking for it and ran into it by mistake the day before The following day I returned, but I arrived one hour after opening. Ensure that you arrive on time and early. I went there at 1930 hours and the wait time was 45 minutes. Nevertheless, I must add that the food was great. The service was excellent. The atmosphere precise. I was able to enjoy a very good dinner, so it was worth the wait. I recommend that you Take the time to read the menu as you wait and know exactly what you want as this would expedite your service. I left the restaurant a very satisfied customer.

Yelp
Solid spot for pan-Asian cuisine in Porto. I'll admit I'm spoiled by incredible Asian food in San Francisco and New York so it's not a fair comparison to that. However, a really nice meal to break up all the flavors of Portuguese food while on vacation. The restaurant is trendy and has decent Indoor and outdoor seating. Be warned, it gets busy though so be sure to show up early especially if you have a large group. Prices are okay for the most part, but Baos are overpriced for the one portion. We tried a variety of dishes from curries, noodles, dumplings, baos and all were good. Would recommend for visitors!

Yelp
Words. Words. I simply have no words! I am so very happy I decided on this place! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! The music chill-out all the way! I sat at the chefs bar and that's an experience all it's own. Watching everything be made fresh! I had the shrimp coconut curry (massaman) delightful! The service was super prompt and friendly. The best was saved for last!!!! Again. I simply have no words! BRAVO on the 5 Chinese spice molten cake and vanilla ice cream! Such a wonderful Lisboa culinary dance of flavors!

Sam W.

Yelp
Good pan Asian spot, we went twice while in Lisbon and enjoyed several Chinese and Thai dishes,

L S.

Yelp
We enjoyed our lunch. I had the pho with shrimp and my husband ordered the pad thai with chicken. I had a lemon ginger hot tea. The shrimp was plumb and fresh. They have me sriracha on the side which I love to use for extra flavor and spice. I would eat it here again and try out more of the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
It's like a low key Tao in Lisbon. They don't take reservations so arrive early. On a Friday night, we waited about 45 min. We ordered the Pad Thai, fried rice with egg, easy fizzy and padan mule. The easy fizzy was great. Pretty sure I ordered another. Padan mule was just ok. Heavy padan flavor so if that's not your thing, skip. Pad Thai and fried rice were also good and would recommend. The area this is in is so cute and there are many restaurants around.

Clarissa Y.

Yelp
my partner and i decided to eat here for lunch after reading the positive reviews. we ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, chicken + duck spring baos, shrimp fried rice and the yellow curry with a side of fried rice. spring rolls were ok flavor/texture wise but it was cold on the inside - didn't say anything and decided to just eat it. when they brought over the rest of our food i noticed i received pad thai on accident so i informed our waitress. she checked her tablet and then tells us that we're wrong and ordered the pad thai. i tried explaining to her that i ordered the fried rice, pointed at it on the menu when she was taking our order and even said arroz (her english was great but i did all of that just in case there was any language barrier). you could tell she was annoyed but decided to make the change for us. to sum it all up, the food was mediocre and bland - i would not recommend it. service was good other than that one instance.
google avatar

Yelp
The best Asian food in Lisbon! I got horrible food poisoning in Porto so I tried to take it easy a few days later in Lisbon. I ordered the beef ramen which was very mild but also very flavorful! When my stomach got better I returned and ordered the pork bao buns which were amazing! Definitely go if you're in town.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Delicious eclectic asian food in a hip building. Great cocktails as well. Dishes and bao were all tasty and had the right level of spice. Also has some outdoor seating, but really dug the vibe inside. Very busy, so show up early to get your name on the list!

Yelp
This place is a nice stop along on your journey but not a must. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The prices were quite expensive to only leave there hungry in search of something more. The staff were nice, they even offered blankets as it got really chilly while dining outdoors. This place is a solid 3.5. If you make it there cool, if not, you didn't miss much. The cuisine in Lisbon is amazing and you will get way more for your buck somewhere else.

Maclaren J.

Yelp
The concept is great, however the execution is lacking. The servers are busy and spread too thin. We never received our second drink and had to ask for water three times. The appetizers were average. The sauces were bland. We tried a variety of dishes and they sounded great but did not live up to expectation. We visited twice due to the convenience of the location and regretted the second trip. I would not recommend boa-bao. The prices are too high for the quality.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy food, relaxing ambience with attentive service...cannot ask for more. Try the Malaysian curry, massaman curry, spring rolls and pad thai. You can thank me later ;)

Yelp
Delicious!! This was a definite veer from trying local food during our time in Lisbon, but one of the best meals we had!

Yelp
Small chain of delicious Asian food. They have indoor and outdoor seating and we decided On the chefs counter. That allowed us to be seated somewhere warm and we could see some of the kitchen activity. The chefs were all from Philippines or Nepal and we were guessing Vietnam, Thailand, Laos or that region. We had a pork belly bao and a curry noodle dish. Curry dish was delicious but maybe a bit sweet for my taste. Others will love it. Also ordered the large beer but the glass was quite small. Your mileage may vary. Overall, very busy and delicious place.

Yelp
Boa-bao is a place you go to for the vibes. It's a very popular spot, so expect a wait. The theme is travel/exploration of East Asia, so expect references to Korea, China, and Vietnam. The drinks are top tier, but the food is average. If you've had any authentic Asian food, do not expect anything close. But, it's not bad. I would avoid the chicken pad Thai. The noodles are average, but the chicken tastes like they only seasoned it with salt and it still tasted a bit fresh. Our favorite baos were the fried chicken and Peking duck. The pork belly was lacking flavor. We also went for the chicken satay. Chicken is under flavored (mostly salt as seasoning) and the peanut sauce is closer to a vinaigrette than expected. Drinks were all amazing though! We got the equator, fizzy, and the pandan mule.
google avatar

Piper W.

Yelp
Definitely a hard pass. The ambiance is cute, the food...overrated. We ordered vegetable dim sum, tofu curry (w/fried rice), calamari, and the salmon (w/eggplant). If you're looking for a decent salmon dish this may be the place as salmon is hard to find in Portugal. However, the drinks are also mediocre. All in all, if you have other options I would go there before settling on this place.

Yelp
Great place in the heart of Lisbon . Friendly staff . Cocktails were utterly delicious. We ordered there seafood noodle soup . The broth was light and refreshing along with plenty of seafood . Also got the cilantro scallops. Never had anything so tasty . Prices are reasonable . With drinks total 48 euros .

Yelp
We had a really fun lunch at this funky Asian "mash up" restaurant on Wednesday January 26th. The cocktail menu was fun. We especially enjoyed the Bao Bao Delight appetizer and the Gua Bao.

Yelp
Come early this place gets packed very quickly in the week could be very long. Yes there is many incredible restaurants to choose from but this one will allow you a break from the local food. It was a little pricey.

Yelp
My family I had been in Portugal for 14 days and have had our fair share of Portuguese food. We love the Portuguese food but being from Toronto and having such a huge range of choice in our ethnic dining culture we needed something else. Out Airbnb host suggested this restaurant. They don't take reservations (I think) and we had to wait for about an hour to get our seats. We went for a 25 minute walk came back sat at the bar and watch the bartenders make some fantastic drinks. They seem to take pride in the creation and actually it was a shame people drinking the drinks did actually get to watch. But I did so good stuff for me. I had a great old fashioned which was meticulously made but they don't have my favourite cherries :-( still a great drink. When he finally got settled we ordered three dishes to share we had the Pad Thai shrimp, Green Curry chicken and Beef in Chinese black bean. Also so apps. dim sum and Bao pork belly jasmine rice. I took a picture of the bill. All was great but he beef was just so so in my opinion. The guy at the next table loved it but I found it bland. The dinner was great. However one tick on the bad column. I did finish my drink and asked the BT to make me another type of his liking based on what he had been feeding me to slurp. This is where they lost the star as when I got my bill it was a 18€ drink and that pissed me off. I don't think you more than double up the price of a drink without telling someone as 18€ is more that most meals in Lisbon. So shame on me for giving him the liberty but shame on the BT for doing what he did. I didn't add an extra tip due to it. Anyway go and try it. We needed something different and this hit the mark.

Yelp
3.5 star. I had high expectation Boa-Bao because of lots of Positive reviews. There is few asian restautant so I can understand it can make little advantage. The noodle what I had was little salty. So I ordered side of Jasmin rice. But it was 18.5 euro. calamari, shrimp was fresh, but that's not worth. My wife had pho and it was good enough.
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. First they charged us for the entirely wrong meal. They at least gave us what we order EXCEPT they forgot 1 dish entirely. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Update we also ordered some of our dishes without cilantro but all of them still have cilantro...

Yelp
I really enjoyed it and ate every bite. I had G17 that was recommended by everyone in the restaurant. I thought it was tasty.

Yelp
The theme of the restaurant was one of adventure and exploration, so going to Boa-Bao for lunch with two friends felt like we were adventuring together! We decided that ordering dishes and sharing was going to be the best way of sampling all this restaurant had to offer. Looking around, you couldn't help but feel you were in The Orient. For starters we ordered the Vegetarian Dim Sum assortment and the fried sun dried beef strips Isaan style with some guidance from our knowledgeable and attentive waitress. She was helpful throughout the visit and made it complete. The starters tasted great and really went well together. Main courses were brought out and each looked like it had been put together with great care and attention. We decided that Peking duck gua bao with hoisin, cucumber and spring onion was a must. It was cooked just the way I like it! The Malaysian Curry Soup with sea food & egg noodles and a side of sticky rice added some needed heat and the rice perfectly soaked up the soup. Then we went for some Japchae - Korean glass noodle stir fry with beef - although we could have had just about anything on the menu because it all sounded so good. Rounding it off with dessert, the three of us chose one each and then shared. The first dessert was coconut crème brûlée with basil & lemongrass that one of us liked a little bit too much perhaps :), then came the pineapple carpaccio with chocolate loempia & vanilla and Japanese mochi selection. Each had the right amount of sweetness to finish off a meal. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Terrible food. Long wait. Very overrated. Overpriced. Decent service. There was a group of 6 so we were able to order a lot of food. We got: Pad tai: good but definitely could've gotten better back at home in San Francisco. Peking duck bao: a lot of meat but missing the best part which is the crispy skin. Mediocre flavor Malaysian Curry soup: lots of seafood in it, but nothing special about it at all. Chicken Satay: chicken cooked okay, peanut sauce was whatever. Salmon bulgogi: asked the waitress if she could recommend one more dish for us and she said this one. I was hesitant but she advised it so we ordered. The worst dish of them all. All it took was someone to bake a salmon, put teriyaki sauce on it and sprinkle a few sesame seeds then add veggies to the plate. The worst part was there was spoiled broccoli in it. My gf took one bite and she said it was sour and smelled funky. Fried rice: it was good... but who can mess this up right? Veggie side dishes: too salty Chicken curry (forgot the name started with an M) : chicken was dry. Tasted like curry that you can buy in a bottle at the super market. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this restaurant unless you haven't really tried good Asian food. Trust me this doesn't even compare to what good South Eastern Asian food should be. It was funny because my group just talked about how bad the food was all night... at least we made goood memories. PS I never write reviews but I honestly really want people to stay away and save their time and money

Excellent food and service! Arrive early. This was our second attempt to get a table. It was worth it!

Yelp
Yes I think this place is a bit overrated but that doesn't mean it wasn't very good! This is a hard place to get a seat so I would come early (~7 for Portuguese dinner time). We ate family style and had the eggplant, tom yum fried rice, Malaysian yellow curry with shrimp, Asian vegetables, and mushroom and grilled octopus salad. Everything was flavorful and delicious, but the portions were smaller so we probably should've ordered one more main dish. In any case, though, a solid restaurant in the trendy Chiado district that is a fun change of pace from typical Portuguese cuisine.

Yelp
Found this place while looking for an Asian meal in Lisbon. We chose to sit outside, which was a great atmosphere. The initial drink I ordered wasn't available, so I chose the Bombay sapphire drink while my boyfriend ordered the drink that came in a monkey cup. The drinks were presented very beautifully, but mine smelled like sewage water and my boyfriend confirmed. We had the scallops as an appetizer, which were tiny but came in a very tasty sauce. I ordered the double fried pork belly for my main dish. The sauce and veggies were good, but the pork belly was very dry and a little tough. Also ordered a side of kimchi cucumbers which were good, but overall overpriced for the value.
