Boarders of Rockaway Beach

Pulled my longboard out of the closet this morning and realised the little screw + plate set were missing for my fin. Potentially terrible news since it was perfect longboard timing out there today. Thankfully Boarders had extra hardware, treated my $2 sale just as importantly as any other, and lent me a screwdriver to boot. You guys saved the day. Thank you!

I came in looking for some flip-flops after losing mine on the beach (second time I've lost this!). They had a woefully small selection which I guess isn't surprising for a small shop, however, the brand names were just.... bad. Names I'd never heard of. The only pair in my size (and they had nothing under size 9) were a brand you can't find anywhere online at all—something called "Niki." Not cheap. $25. These things tore up my feet. By the time I got home, I was limping. After half an hour of wearing them, one foot has a huge red wound, the other seems like it has been injured deep inside, like a bad bruise. I'm still limping. The sandals are made of cheap and obviously inadequate material. Why wouldn't they have Havaianas or another decent brand? Ugh. I would really urge anyone from the store who reads this to get rid of this "Niki" brand. Cashier was polite at least.

I can't say enough good things about this surf shop! We came in looking for a boogie board for my daughter, and the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Instead of just trying to sell us the most expensive option, they took the time to ask questions and made a perfect recommendation that fit our needs and budget. Unfortunately, we left the board out in the heat upside down and it blistered (completely our mistake). When I called the shop for advice, they were so understanding and offered multiple solutions, including a generous discount on a new board, which they didn't have to do at all. We followed their advice and the blisters on the board went away, so we didn't end up needing to buy another one. The board itself is fantastic, and my daughter is having a blast with it. Highly recommend this shop to anyone!

They got hit pretty hard by sandy but they are open for business (even though the phone has a busy signal) Same awesome staff. The owner Steve is always around. He does a lot of non profit work in the local community which is just another reason to give then your business. Great spot to cool down and clean up after a surf. Good selection and prices on board rentals.

Local surf shop with Rentals and For Sale items. Everything you need to get wet. Staff is excellent. Mike, Mike, and Matt run the show for most of the summer. They are knowledgeable and patient with the beginning learning to surf crowd. The shop also has 24/7 year round board storage and showers which is great and convenient. Check it out if you haven't already.

I've lived over here for my whole life.Boarders is the place to be to get skateboards, clothing, stickers, tapes, and surfboards. I own stuff from the store. Customer service is extremely supportive. If you want a skateboard they build it for you right in front of your face so no worries. When you walk out of this store you are guaranteed to have a friend that works there

Great shop, been coming here and doing rentals regularly and bought my first board here. Guys here are always super friendly and knowledgeable, Damien in particular is awesome.

A group of great guys and helped pick out the right board for me 9'2" matador Eldorado and 6'2" matador bull fish. Will be back to pick up my next board from them highly recommend and a huge board selection of all hand shaped board built in the U.S
