Boardrider's Surf Bar and Grill

Great little spot, if you can find parking and a seat! Not good for kids because it is basically a bar. They have some seating outside, but they dont always have it set up. They do retain the right to refuse service so please dont be that entitled tourist jerk coming in thinking they HAVE to serve you.., as they do not! They have a large local population that supports them! But, if you can get in, they have live music at five on weekends and great food! The drinks are excellent and they do have a "Drinks to go" line... which is convenient! We ordered ribs and sweet potato fries and they were fresh and delicious. Dessert was the highlight! The tres leches was fresh and moist and the flan was perfection. Our server was super friendly and attentive, but really everyone was! Gracias mil!

This place is great. Was a recommendation from one of the locals and did not disappoint. Food was really good, so were the margaritas! The view and vibe are amazing and the service was top notch.

On vacation this week and visited boardriders to grab some food & drinks since it was highly suggested to me by a friend. Was definitely worth it. Had the chicken wings and coconut mahi curry. Both delicious the guava sauce for the wings was bangging. Service was great as well, was attended by Joe. Nice guy, funny and made the experience wonderful. Also the bartender Valeria was hilarious & mad cool. Told her to suprise me with what ever drink. She asked what kind of drinks i favored and made me some delicious cocktails and finished the meal off with the bushwaker drink. Delicious was perfect as a dessert. Would definitely recommend to others to visit. Went there twice and didnt disappoint. Live music was also really cool. Presentation is nicer in person rather than my pics. Tore into my food before i took a pic because i was too excited for the dish.

Delish! Came on a Thursday late afternoon early evening. Mojito totally on point. Atmosphere = immaculate. Food was fresh and scrumptious. Mahi tacos, caprese chicken chiabatta and basic chx quesadilla. Service was perfect and you cant beat just letting the breeze blow thru your hair while watching the surfers tackle waves across the street. We'll be back!

Really didn’t like how no one bothered to greet me while I waited to be seated and then as soon as a group of Caucasians is behind me a staff comes up and enthusiastically greets everyone yet somehow isn’t talking to ME instead taking to all the Caucasians behind me… like learn how to see Asian females as people on their own and give the same deference and respect as you seem to do to the people you are otherwise conditioned to greet with more enthusiasm. Honestly, it’s also the Caucasian customers’ faults since they had no manners to give space to the solo female since they are also the people that try to marginalize you in the first place. This restaurant is very touristy and has a very draining vibe. As a solo female traveller in particular of Asian descent it’s like people in 2024 still literally don’t even see you as a person in your own right 🙄 and somehow suck up to other people since that’s how they’ve been brainwashed and since the poor attitude of others would also show their impatience since they literally hate seeing anyone but themselves anywhere 😬 The fact that they would even think that i would tip after this blatant difference in attitude to different types of customers was ridiculous. Was initially going to dine in but changed to take out since the vibe of the place and energy of the people there was not great

The dishes were really great and the server was super nice! Just be prepared for a long wait time for the food to be ready (I don’t know if it was just the specific day I went that was really busy or if it’s always like that but I think I had to wait a bit over an hour for the food to be ready). The wait, however, was worth it since the food and the service was really great

Would not have thought to pair peanut sauce with tuna - yum! Tacos were excellent! Bartender was lovely

Excellent food served right across from the ocean. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Food portions are very generous. If you're in the area, definitely give it a try.
