9 Best Hotels in Aruba, From Adults-Only Resorts to Family-Friendly All-Inclusives

"Set in a former coconut grove, The Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is locally owned and family-run by twin sisters Kimberly and Stephanie Rooijakkers who were born and raised in Aruba. While it's less than half a mile from the heavily populated Palm Beach, it somehow feels worlds away. The property features 50 casitas surrounded by lush, tropical landscaping, and is the ideal place to truly unplug. Expect to spot every type of traveler here, from groups of friends and families to honeymooners and solo travelers. While it's not directly on the sand, the resort is just minutes from the beach, accessible via a short walk or by the property's shuttle. The casitas are private, while still offering all the amenities of a resort, alongside rarities like kitchens and BBQs. If you choose to eat out, the on-site Coco Café is a laid-back outdoor restaurant serving classic Aruban culinary treats, Belgian items, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine." - Jacqueline Dole

10 Best Hotels in Aruba for a Local Stay - AFAR

"Aruba’s Palm Beach is known for its powdery white sand, tranquil blue waters, and sprawling full-service luxury resorts. Just steps away, however, the intimate Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is a laid-back alternative. Owned and operated by Belgian twin sisters Stephanie and Kimberly Rooijakkers, who were born on the island and spent their childhoods there, the 46 casitas are scattered on the grounds of a former coconut plantation and individually decorated: studio, one-, and two-bedroom spaces are outfitted with bright pinks, yellows, and aquas, fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioning, and private patios with their own charcoal barbecues and hammocks. There are also two pools on site (one for relaxing, one with over-water hammocks and cocktail service), plus guests have access to a private area on Palm Beach with traditional Aruban huts and comfy sunbeds. Breakfast and lunch offerings include vegan and plant-based fare from local Eduardo’s Beach Shack, and can be delivered to your casita or one of the pools, but with no restaurant on site dinner is up to you." - AFAR Editors

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Small hotel, but every coroner of it is perfect. I was SO happy to spend time on the property and was continually impressed. Very safe. Staff is so kind and accommodating. Impressive landscaping — it’s immaculate. Coco cafe has great food. Shuttle ride to the beach or an easy 5 minute walk. Would love to go back one day. Highly recommend. I don’t have a single complaint. BOOK IT!

Traveled to Aruba and the Boardwalk Boutique recently. This property is wonderful in every way! It is so great to have separate casitas, a beautiful beach within walking distance, and a restaurant on the property serving delicious food! The pools and grounds are well maintained and so relaxing! Spa services and the gym were very good, too! Our all adult family really enjoyed our stay!

A Tropical Paradise! We recently spent a week at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel in Aruba, and it was nothing short of amazing! The property is lush with gorgeous vegetation, creating a serene and private oasis. Everywhere we turned, there was beauty and tranquility. The staff made our stay even more special—especially the team at the bar and pool, who were always friendly and attentive. The lobby staff also went above and beyond to take care of all our needs throughout the week, making everything seamless. Our Casita was pristine, cleaned thoroughly every day, and offered thoughtful touches like the delicious iced tea in the fridge, refreshed daily—a small treat that made a big difference! One of our favorite features was the hotel's designated beach area, complete with fantastic palapas that we booked daily. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun, and the beach staff were just as wonderful—helpful, kind, and always ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect beach day. From the breathtaking atmosphere to the exceptional service, this hotel truly exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a private, peaceful, and beautifully maintained retreat in Aruba, Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is the place to be. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

This place was amazing! From the moment you arrive you can feel the magic! The front staff is sooo kind and friendly. They helped answer all my questions and gave me advice on the places I was visiting. They have all the beach gear you need. I will definitely be returning in my future adventures to Aruba! P.S. Great place for solo travelers!

We stayed here for a week recently and loved it, we would 100% go back. Our Casita - 211 - was spacious and super quiet. The air con worked great and the outdoor shower was a real plus point. We had two BBQs on our deck and it was so fun. We were regularly joined by the resident cats Shadow and Gordo and we loved them - we miss them lots, they're very well behaved. The grounds are beautiful and the service was always super friendly. the system for booking the beach space works really well and it's so close, a beautiful beach for sunset (they don't provide food from the Ritz Carlton any more tho,but you can get Coco Café food which is great). One minor thing - the gym is very very small, if two people are using it, the gym is basically full! Probably not an issue for many people and we never struggled to access machines. Last thing - there aren't enough beds around the pools to accommodate all the guests, and because this hotel (and island) is frequented by so many boomers (who seem to have lost all sense of awareness) the pool beds are hogged by old couples from about 9am onwards, they leave their towels down for an entire day. There is supposedly a "stuff will be moved within an hour" policy if no one is using it, but this didn't seem to be policed. Overall though, this is a beautiful hotel in a great location and I would not hesitate to recommend it!

The most beautiful tropical boutique hotel I've ever stayed in. Clean, nicely appointed furnishings, comfortable, everything you could want. Mine had kitchenette and outdoor shower - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!||Enjoyed coffee and breakfast on my patio every morning, so peaceful.||Beach across the street, palapas and food/ drink service were excellent. No need to go to other crowded beaches. ||Very close to main shopping and restaurants as well. They even have 2 cats and a chicken roaming around property, so sweet!!

I love a boutique hotel and this one did not disappoint. I stayed in Casita 104 (1 bedroom) which was spacious and quiet. It had every amenity I could ask for and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel itself feels like you're in a lush jungle, complete with chicken and two cats. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant food was delicious. I didn't spend too much time at the beach. It was a 5 minute walk across a busy road and there are no bathrooms available. But the pools were wonderful. I just wish they would swap out the Adirondack chairs for more pool loungers. Adirondacks are the most uncomfortable chairs known to man. It's too far to walk into town so make sure you bring cash for taxi's. But I liked the fact that the hotel was in a more quiet area. But the absolute best part of the hotel is it's ADULTS ONLY. And after listening to screaming children on both 5 hour flights, that was greatly appreciated.

We were gifted a night at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel for organizing Aruba Hi-Winds, and it was an grear experience. The hotel is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and equipped with every comfort. The staff is vert warm and welcoming. We loved it so much, we booked it again for my daughter’s honeymoon in October!
