9 Best Hotels in Aruba, From Adults-Only Resorts to Family-Friendly All-Inclusives

"Set in a former coconut grove, The Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is locally owned and family-run by twin sisters Kimberly and Stephanie Rooijakkers who were born and raised in Aruba. While it's less than half a mile from the heavily populated Palm Beach, it somehow feels worlds away. The property features 50 casitas surrounded by lush, tropical landscaping, and is the ideal place to truly unplug. Expect to spot every type of traveler here, from groups of friends and families to honeymooners and solo travelers. While it's not directly on the sand, the resort is just minutes from the beach, accessible via a short walk or by the property's shuttle. The casitas are private, while still offering all the amenities of a resort, alongside rarities like kitchens and BBQs. If you choose to eat out, the on-site Coco Café is a laid-back outdoor restaurant serving classic Aruban culinary treats, Belgian items, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine." - Jacqueline Dole

"Aruba’s Palm Beach is known for its powdery white sand, tranquil blue waters—and sprawling full-service luxury resorts. Just steps away, the intimate Boardwalk Small Hotel is a laid-back alternative. Owned and operated by Belgian twin sisters Stephanie and Kimberly Rooijakkers, who were born on the island and spent their childhoods here, 14 casitas are scattered on the grounds of a former coconut plantation and individually decorated: studio, one-, and two-bedroom spaces are outfitted with bright pinks, yellows, and aquas, fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioning, and private patios with their own charcoal barbecues and hammocks. Breakfast offerings range from the local (think tropical fruit and house-made arepas ) to the luxe (bottles of champagne), and can be delivered to your casita or beachside palapa , but with no restaurant on site lunch and dinner is up to you."

"Aruba is the sort of place that’s managed to get by without having to take much notice of the boutique-hotel movement — picture-perfect white sand beaches and an idyllic climate mean there’s little pressure to innovate. But there are exceptions, and Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba is one of them: a vibrant, colorful, eclectic boutique hotel that makes no compromises on location, set as it is amid a coconut grove just a five-minute stroll from Palm Beach." - Tablet Hotels

We had a lovely stay at the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel. This place is a gem and a truly special experience. We stayed in Casita 121 which had 1 room with a king bed and bathroom, and another room with 2 queen beds and a bathroom. Everything was peaceful, tranquil and enjoyable. The grounds are decorated and appointed in the most beautiful way - you dont feel like you're at a hotel but rather an oasis. The beach section is magical with comfortable chairs, palapas and towels. Full service food and drinks from the coco cafe were delicious. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, beautiful and tranquil experience this place is for you! Staff were attentive and helpful. We wish we could bring our teenagers here!! If you are thinking about booking here, don't hesitate.

My husband and I stayed at the Boardwalk Boutique for our anniversary, and it was the best place we've ever stayed. The place is absolutely beautiful! The casitas and grounds are so clean. The staff at the front desk are incredibly helpful. While we were there we took advantage of getting a couples massage, enjoying the breakfast tower delivered to our casita, using the complimentary chairs, coolers, and snorkel gear at the beach, eating frequently at their restaurant (everything we had was delicious), reserving a palapa across the street at Palm Beach and having our lunch delivered to us, and of course lounging in the gorgeous tranquility almost every day. |We loved that it was adult-only as it was truly a peaceful oasis during our stay. We hope to visit Aruba again, and stay at this incredible resort.

Our stay at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel was fantastic! It's a calm, beautiful oasis right in the hotel district at Palm Beach. Lush vegetation, two beautiful pools, comfortable and cozy casitas... I could go on and on. The staff are friendly and wonderful and provide excellent customer service. It's very clean, quiet and serene. Truly a hidden gem!

Boardwalk Boutique was absolutely gorgeous! We prefer the small-scale boutique style over a large high-rise with lots of people. They offer tranquility and privacy, which is perfect for relaxation. The casitas are a perfect place to relax - whether it's breakfast on your patio or inside after a day at the beach. They offer cold water and complimentary tea in the fridge. Palm Beach is a super short walk across the street and they also have a shuttle, if you'd prefer. Other beaches are a short drive or bus ride away. The staff is genuine and always ready to help with smile. We had breakfast and snacks at the Coco Cafe and it was always fresh and delicious! We highly recommend the Boardwalk Boutique for anyone who is looking for rejuvenating escape.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Small hotel, but every coroner of it is perfect. I was SO happy to spend time on the property and was continually impressed. Very safe. Staff is so kind and accommodating. Impressive landscaping — it’s immaculate. Coco cafe has great food. Shuttle ride to the beach or an easy 5 minute walk. Would love to go back one day. Highly recommend. I don’t have a single complaint. BOOK IT!

Amazing staff, beautiful property! Highly recommend. The staff is so nice and helpful, the property has so many amenities. Beautiful pools, cute lizards, 2 cats on property ( they do not go into the rooms). The staff is so accommodating, and welcoming.

Go to Boardwalk Boutique. You will love it. You get a truly unique experience where you are treated like a person. The Casitas are very nice and comfortable, with outdoor patios. We were by the "little pool" which was like having our own private pool. You know what you get with the big hotels. Trust me, go here and you will get better.

A Tropical Paradise! We recently spent a week at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel in Aruba, and it was nothing short of amazing! The property is lush with gorgeous vegetation, creating a serene and private oasis. Everywhere we turned, there was beauty and tranquility. The staff made our stay even more special—especially the team at the bar and pool, who were always friendly and attentive. The lobby staff also went above and beyond to take care of all our needs throughout the week, making everything seamless. Our Casita was pristine, cleaned thoroughly every day, and offered thoughtful touches like the delicious iced tea in the fridge, refreshed daily—a small treat that made a big difference! One of our favorite features was the hotel's designated beach area, complete with fantastic palapas that we booked daily. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun, and the beach staff were just as wonderful—helpful, kind, and always ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect beach day. From the breathtaking atmosphere to the exceptional service, this hotel truly exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a private, peaceful, and beautifully maintained retreat in Aruba, Boardwalk Boutique Hotel is the place to be. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
