11 Best Street Food Spots in Bangkok

"Located behind a temple 10 minutes from crowded Victory Monument, Doy Kuay Teow Reua, a boat-noodle mecca, is tricky to find—just look for the blue awning out front. The open-air dining room has rows of tables covered with plastic tablecloths; there are also tables with umbrellas outside. At the back of the restaurant, the owner pays homage to the origins of boat noodles by cooking and serving from behind a makeshift longboat. Choose between pork or beef; they're equally addictive. Both meats are served in a charming chipped bowl filled with vegetables and glass noodles in a rich, flavorful broth; for more texture, toss in some complimentary pork cracklins or fried wontons." - Katie Lockhart

Amazing. Reached here at 8am, ordered 7 bowls of different noodles. Fast, cheap, generous amount of beef, solid flavours. Authentic Boat Noodles ! I recommend : Glass Noodles/Flat Noodles/Egg Noodles. With Beef & Boat Noodles Soup. Spice Level : little bit. Can be spicy for non-spicy eaters. Will travel here again to eat if I’m back in Bangkok.

This Thai boat noodle joint is famous as one of Bangkok's finest. It's tucked in a small alley near the temple area. They serve up bowls for just 15 baht each, and most folks chow down on about 4. The taste is delicious, with a perfect level of spiciness. Plus, they dish out food super fast. Definitely worth checking out!

The broth lacked a little body, but the ingredients were alright. I mean, it's good, but when there's boat noodles alley next door... I guess the pros about this place are that it's more spacious and much less crowded than the alley.

Quintessentially Thai, outdoor restaurant situated between a wat and a klong. Serves excellent noodles in bowls small enough that you can try four or five. Service is friendly and an English menu is available that explains how to mix and match the kind of noodle, meat and sauce. All that’s left is to order a drink and maybe a snack or dessert. Hungrier diners can have big bowls of noodles, too.

2nd visit here since my previous trip to bkk. A must-visit place for boat noodles if u ever come to bkk. It’s located in a small alley, your grab driver won’t be able to drop u off right by the restaurant so you’ll have to walk in. Easy 10/10 recommend.

I kid you not, I cried eating the noods haha!! I had dry noodle with beef and boat noodle with beef with the ‘little spicy’ option. Yo, if your spicy level is a 2 then their little spicy is a solid 6 😂. So maybe ask for no spicy option if you can’t handle the heat! Taste wise, the dry noodle was better in my opinion : spicy, a little sweet and it has peanut taste as well. Staff were quick and friendly. Once you got down from the BTS, just keep walking along on the skywalk until you can’t no more to avoid the heat. And when you feel like google map is leading to you to a small alley and in doubt, then you’re on track!

Located within (a long but achievable) walking distance of victory monument...this local boat noodle restaurant has an amazing reputation... upheld at my visit 15baht per dish had a 6 and rolled out full after a" light" lunch..... supported by locals predominantly I recommend attempting to navigate this eating opportunity..... located by a klong for added ambiance!!?

Wow this place is definitely a local spot! Staff cld understand basic English. Do order directly from the staff as the locals wrote their order on the chit in Thai. Food was great, esp the coconut custard! The sweet & salty balance striked so well that none of the custards at the other boat noodles places i visited could win my tastebuds. Be prepared to walk a distance from the BTS station & the humidity in the tropical country did not hit well while having your meal there. A very unassuming place but a place worth a visit for the food!
