8 best ways to spend your SingapoRediscover vouchers - SilverKris

"This historic bumboat tour explores the disappearing kelongs of the Straits of Johor and the maritime cultures that once thrived there, introducing passengers to the Orang Laut and Orang Seletar communities and their seafaring history. Alongside commentary on the rustic seascape and vanishing coastal traditions, the experience includes a stop at a local restaurant for exceptionally fresh seafood and is pitched as accessible for seniors." - Alexis Ong

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Perfect Spot to Unwind Solo or with Friends I visited Boat Quay last week and honestly, it turned out to be one of my most memorable evenings in Singapore. 🌃🍻 The entire stretch is beautifully lit at night, with the calm Singapore River on one side and a vibrant row of restaurants, pubs, and bars on the other. I found a cozy spot, grabbed a chilled beer, and just soaked in the view — the illuminated skyline reflecting on the water, boats cruising by, and the lively chatter around created the perfect vibe. Even though I was alone, I never once felt out of place. There’s something about the atmosphere here — it’s social yet peaceful. Whether you want to walk along the riverside, take stunning pictures (trust me, the night shots come out amazing 📸✨), or simply enjoy a drink and people-watch, Boat Quay has it all. It’s also well-connected by MRT and is just a short walk from Clarke Quay, so hopping between the two is super easy. I’d highly recommend this place for solo evenings, romantic walks, or casual hangouts with friends. 💡 Tip: Visit just before sunset to catch the changing colors of the sky and stay into the night to experience the full vibe.

Lively strip of bars and restaurants next to the Singapore River. Lots of restauranteurs trying to tempt you into their place for dinner or a drink. A polite no usually suffices but you never know, you might just be tempted by one of the live fish or lobsters in one of the display tanks!!

Recent view of Boat Quay. The lights of the surrounding buildings are a sight to behold and certainly add to its beauty. A nice place for an evening stroll and relax.

It’s a nice area to walk or hang out, with a beautiful view of the river. This area is full of restaurants and bars which offer great views of Marina bay.

Boat quay is a really nice place to walk down at night because it’s really cooling and you get to see the lights and the boats slides to be on and it’s lively at night because you get to go down the bars and you can see different restaurants and also clubs and honestly the vibes are there and it’s really nice actually when you’re going down there with friends and if you need a late night snack you can go to the McDonald’s or Burger King, which is right at the end not close to the bridge, but I believe closer to the MRT direction if I’m not wrong Honestly, if I had to take people around Singapore again, I would take them to Boat Quay just for the experience of the nightlife

If you are looking for a lively street with tons of restaurants of different types of food...this is the place for you. If you are looking for authentic, quality food...may want to look elsewhere. Cool atmosphere lining the river with views of downtown. Touristy restaurants with interesting mixes of cuisines. Restaurants are OK. There are some good ones mixed in.

Boat Quay is such a vibrant yet relaxing spot by the river. I watched the sunset here and it was absolutely beautiful — the sky reflecting on the water made the whole area feel so chill. With the mix of historic shophouses, modern skyline views, and lively riverside atmosphere, it’s a perfect place to unwind after a long day. Definitely one of the best places in Singapore to enjoy the evening vibes!
