We (party of 2) were rushing to find a spot that was still open and we found this place 15min before they closed the kitchen. They were very accommodating and still took us in for food. Glad they did because it was great. Family owned, family run, family friendly. Something for everyone. Food was fantastic and unique but be warned, they do sharing menus only! If you are expecting a large meal for yourself then you may need to find a new place. The owners were telling us they rotate the menu to try different recipes, so if you visit once in a while, you'll always be in for a treat. If not, then may not find again the dish that you really liked. They have a great selection of beers, wines and different liquors. Everything they serve can also be bought in containers to take with you. Parking is tricky, so i recommend walking. Overall, great experience.

Lovely restaurant in the North Arm of Lakes Entrance! I came across it by accident when I stopped for a coffee after my paddle training, it was the only place open after 5pm, and I’m so glad I found it. Ended up coming back the next day for dinner! It’s a busy spot so worth booking ahead. I’m vegetarian and Brendan was super helpful explaining the veg options and suggesting I book in advance. When we came for our date night next day, Kathy was so lovely and accommodating, she even offered to make the gnocchi vegetarian and prepared yummy mojito mocktails for us. We tried the trio of dips and arancini to start, and my partner had the gnocchi with beef ragu. Everything was absolutely delicious (we couldn’t stop eating the dips!). It’s a family-run place and you can really taste the love in their food, their recipes are spot on. Great food, Super friendly staff and such a nice vibe. If you’re in Lakes Entrance, this place is must-try spot. I’ll be back for sure!

This place is the best! My wife and I had dinner on a Friday night, we came back on Sunday! We had the gnocchi and pizza and loved them both. An awesome spot on the quiet side of Lakes. We loved to sit at the bar at the front which had a great view of North Arm. We will be back next time!

We've had the pleasure of sharing one of our most memorable lunches. The food was superb, the local wine was great, and the company was excellent. The service was truly exceptional. I highly recommend dining there - you won't regret it!

We had an absolutely outstanding dining experience at Boatshed Food & Wine in Lakes Entrance. This is a beautiful family-run restaurant, and their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for the evening. One of the family members personally checked in on us throughout the night, making sure everything was perfect — and it really was. We started with the chorizo arancini, which were crisp on the outside and full of rich, savory flavour inside. Then came the highlight — the French Brie with sourdough baguette and beetroot relish. The sourdough deserves a special mention: it’s baked by a local artisan in his own kitchen, and you simply won’t find bread like this anywhere else in Australia, or even the world. It had a beautiful woody depth to it, pairing perfectly with the creamy Brie. The house-made beetroot relish was the perfect balance of sweetness and earthiness — an unforgettable combination. To finish our savoury dishes, we tried the dried porcini and pepper berry salted fries topped with Parmesan. Crispy, fragrant, and indulgent, they were the perfect way to round off an already amazing meal. And for dessert, we couldn’t resist the sticky date pudding — warm, rich, and absolutely amazing. The perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable dining experience. What makes this place truly special is not only the food, but the way it’s served — with genuine care, kindness, and attention to detail. You can feel the love of a family behind it all. Lovely little back street restaurant with amazing views of the lake. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The menu was not what I expected with a slant towards sharing foods. The food was delicious nonetheless. I was a little let down at the end with the dessert. The stick date was nothing more than Bidfood rubbish. It was certainly not the effort that they had put into the Burratta dish. Other than dessert (should make your own) everything else was perfect.

What a great place for drinks and tapas and even the chefs selection of mains are to die for. Had the dip trio and it was delicious. High quality food and tons of flavor in every bite. Highly recommended!

I've been to Lakes Entrance a few times and this time our experience with customer service and food quality was a bit of a let down, until we came here. This was our last night in Lakes Entrance and we stopped for a drink and ended up staying for dinner (specials board was a winner). Friendly and welcoming service, helpful and patient. We ordered the mussels in batter, fish and chips and the beef ragu fettuccini. It was all incredible!! The mussels being a standout in flavours, there was not a bite left on any of our plates. We ended it with a delicious sticky date pudding and a lovely chat with the family who run it. I hope the business continues to do well and are here for many years to come as we will definitely be back everytime we visit!!
