Pleasantly surprised by the high quality and good price for the boba here. Had the Hokkaido milk tea for $5. Most places don't allow sweetness adjustment with Hokkaido, but they prep it differently here. It was plenty sweet with a 0% sweetness level. Would come back.

The drinks there are always great and the staff are super friendly. This last time we were there though the music was so loud that patrons couldn't hear their orders being called out. We ended up leaving sooner than we wanted to for somewhere quieter.

This place was so good!! We loved our picks - the Hokkaido and Thaiger signature teas. Hokkaido - pretty sweet, reminds me of a brown sugar boba milk tea but less caramel-y. Great if you have a sweet tooth! Thaiger - milder in flavor and floral. It has lychee jelly & boba so a good mix of different flavors that complement each other. I remember my days at school, spending lots of time on The Ave and this spot actually used to be a coffee shop. I’m always down to try new bubble tea places and this one did NOT disappoint! I feel like they could use more seating, like couches or some fun board games, but we’ll definitely be back. I want to try the other unique flavors!

I’d say only come here if you like really, really sweet drinks. My friends and I adjusted to 25% drinks where possible and still found out drinks sickeningly sweet and syrupy. The boba pearls were chewy and the lychee jelly was cut into which I found to be super cute. Staff was friendly and interior has plenty of tables

Got the classic milk tea and strawberry lemonade with jelly. The tapioca texture was not good. It was hard and barely had a Q texture. This is a newer location in U-district, so it may be a small quality issue. The staff was very nice, I’ll be back to try it again for sure. Their menu is fun, and is definitely geared towards those that like fruity flavors. Over this I would recommend Yi Fang or TP tea.

Good place to get boba especially milkshakes and smoothies. They have a unique menu with cool drinks, I’d recommend getting 0% sweetness on any of the drinks because it will taste like 50%. My favorite is the taro galaxy.

I loved it! The woman at the cashier was so friendly and accommodating. She answered all of my questions and helped lead me to what drink I wanted. I ultimately ordered an OG milk tea with honey boba (I was also excited to learn that they use nondairy creamer in their milk teas! I've noticed many other establishments in the area do not). It was delicious! It is more tea-forward and tastes like an earl grey. The boba pearls are perfectly chewy as well. My only critique is that they should add a 30% sweetness option to their sugar adjustments. Otherwise, it was perfect! My new boba spot for sure!

Got the strawberry seduction, and it was pretty good. It wasn't too sweet and it was blended very smoothly. The strawberries inside were nice. There was no line so it came out quickly

Pretty good boba on the Ave with lots of unique drinks! They have a large variety of fruit tea drinks and fruit toppings. Their special drinks are fun as well. The cafe is a nice place to study with lots of space and tables.

I stopped by close to 8pm and it was pretty empty!! The space was clean and the cashier was really friendly too. They have really inventive teas and smoothies so I recommend getting those over your regular milk tea flavors. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba ($6) and I thought it was a bit watery :/ but my friends liked their blended drinks a lot!! Since I didn't love my milk tea i'm not sure if I would come back since there's so many boba competitors in the area. But I think if you like speciality drinks then this is your place!

REALLY GOOD BOBA :) probably my favorite spot in udist! the drink was super yummy and had a lot of flavor rather than just sweetness :) the menu is so cute too with a really large selection of signature innovative drinks ambiance also super cute 12/10 would come study or work here!

I used to only go to bobalust for fruit teas bc I knew they wouldn't disappoint in delivering a really sweet sugary refreshing drink. But the first time I tried the Thaiger milk tea (house blend black tea with regular tapioca and lychee jelly) everything changed. I would have never thought to pair a milk tea with lychee jelly but this drink is SOOOO GOOD and makes it work. It tasted amazing seriously top 2 boba drinks for me of all time. Something about that house blend idk but I crave this sm!!!! This place has a lot of seating. Service was fast when I went! They have a big menu too.

This is my go to boba place - I always know I'm going to have a great drink when I come here. I like their milk and fruit teas. The service is always great here also.

went here at around 2pm on a Saturday and there was only one other group here. The staff was very nice and friendly. We ordered a couple drinks here and they were both super good. I love this place bc it has unique drinks and they even cut the jellies into cute shapes!!

The drinks are still good but I asked what milk alternatives they had (it's been while, and I couldn't remember) and the lady checking us out was really rude about it. The interaction made me really uncomfortable, and I don't think I'd return to this location.

I think bobalust is one of the better boba shops in Seattle. Their fruit teas are where they really shine. Very fruity and refreshing. The drinks are generally more on the sweet side so I recommend getting less sugar.

A solid boba spot! Rather than any of their fancy signatures, we opted for some classic milk teas: the Jasmine Green Milk Tea and the OG Milk Tea. They know how to do milk tea. Classic. Delicious. No frills. Love that you can really taste the tea flavors! Absolutely recommend getting less sweet. We made the mistake of getting 100% sugar for one of our drinks and it was a little too much... Wanted to note that their playlist is absolutely insane. We totally had Shazam out the entire time. (Think Chill RnB and Hip Hop vibes!)

The staff at BobaLust are super friendly and great! I ordered the chi-chi which is a lychee blue curaçao milk tea with strawberry jelly. I was told by the staff blue curaçao has a citrusy flavor and they really knew their drinks. Its a pretty good drink that has a creamy lychee floral flavor. The strawberry jelly is a little irregularly shaped so some came up the straw while some were stuck. Overall, chi-chi was a little on the sweeter end so I have to try other drinks before making a better decision. Also, there's a lot of seating indoors but keep in mind there's no restroom.

BobaLust UW opened up at the start of the month in July 2022. Pretty decent bubble tea, but their drinks lean on the sweeter side with less of an emphasis on the taste of the tea. They have milk, fruit tea, smoothie, and slushie options. I got 50% sugar but it tasted more like 100% sugar compared to most bubble tea shops. I envision the bubble tea to be like equivalent to cocktail drinks except non-alcoholic. They're creative with the names with the drinks being more bright and colorful. The customer service was great. The employee offered to remake my drink if it wasn't to my liking. I feel like there are too many boba shops on the Ave so there is already a lot of competition. The store interior is kept clean and simple. It's conveniently located on the Ave so it makes a great stop for a boba tea run.

I stopped by this week for the first time and was disappointed by how unauthentic the flavors on the menu were and how extremely overcooked the boba in my "OG Milk Tea" was. As others have commented, the seats are uncomfortable - but otherwise I thought the decor was cute and the staff was kind.

Bobalust is one of the few good boba joints in Seattle which says a lot cause there are so many that have been popping up. The Ave location is pretty good and I went during one of their less busier times. It's a great place to chill and get a decent drink. I hung out here with a friend for a good 3 hours or so just chatting. So great place for hang outs. There's a good amount of space where you won't feel cramped and has tables and seats available. The area is a bit sketch outside, but inside it's very clean. The service is great, but I simply just asked for the Legend of Momo with no alterations. Made it fairly simple. The drink turned out great, so worth going to for sure. Will stop by again when I'm in the area.

The boba was absolutely nasty. I got I think it was just a green peach tea with regular pearls and my friend got rose tea with crystal boba. Both were were totally disgusting. It tasted like drinking what scented cleaning products smell like. Even tho we both got at prefer lower sweetness levels, the artificial tasting flavor were still exceptionally strong tho probably just because it wasn't good, but somehow the taste of the water (not tea, it genuinely tasted like slightly off tap water attempted to be covered up by the flavoring) came through anyway. Maybe it was because they'd been busy before, not that it took too long to get the drinks anyway, but I'd be surprised if they'd bothered to actually brew tea, or if they ran out. If that'd been the case, tho, I feel like they should've just said they were out of tea considering that's a pretty fundamental ingredient. The ppl working there were nice enough, and like I said they did get it out fast, and it's not their fault it sucked, it just did. The boba was equally terrible, with a nasty flavor that felt both undercooked and like 'imitation' as tho they used 'ready made' boba. It wasn't chewy, but rather hard and crystalline, and also had an artificial flavor/sweetener taste to them. The crystal boba was somehow possibly worse. It did seem like they at least had some mixed drinks or whatever, but if you don't have good tea and ur boba is bad it doesn't really matter. On top of everything, this place was even more pricy than most of my go to spots which are a lot better (everywhere was busy for some UW thing so it was hard to find anywhere where the line had died down). BobaLust tastes is like one of those touristy boba spots that tries to cash in on people not knowing what to expect or like a 'sweeter palate' or smth. But yeah I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Fast and friendly service! Really enjoyed their menu as they had lots of options and some unique things I hadn't really seen before at other places. The service here is friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is fun and clean. Prices fair. All in all I really enjoyed my Thai tea with honey Boba. It was delicious! I'd certainly come back!

I ordered the Thai Green Tea with boba. Overall the drink was good; a bit on the pricier end but it was of a decent size and hit the spot, so I can't complain. However, the employee working the register convinced me to not do 0% sugar but 50% because tea would be bitter otherwise. I should have listened to my gut instinct because even 50% was a bit too sweet for me. :( I still liked my drink though and would recommend both the cafe and the Thai Green Tea specifically. If in the area and craving boba, I'll definitely stop by again. Service was fast too.

Visiting Seattle for a few days--coming from Bay Area with lots of great boba tea shops I walked in with high expectations! Happy to report my expectations have met! Loved the calming modern ambiance with simple classic wooden tables & chairs. We came in late at night, 15 minutes til closing. Yeah i know, not the best time. The guy taking our order at the register greeted us without a drop of irritation. He was friendly, with such a great attitude! He earned the 5 star rating. Service was exceptional! There were so many creative drink selections to chose from, my daughter in law had a hard time deciding which one she wanted. He kindly (and patiently) helped her to make a decision--she went with the LYCHEE BOMB w/ boba...and loved it! The fresh fruit blend of strawberry and lychee was refreshing, not too sweet! My son immediately knew what he wanted--the PURPLE GALAXY--he loved the slushy creamy texture of taro mixed with chocolaty accent of Oreos! He said it's his favorite drink! I went with THAIGER house milk tea blend with honey boba & lychee jelly! Did I mention that the boba was fantastic?--deliciously warm and soft with the perfect amount of chew. The flavor combinations were right on point, my taste buds were very happy! The guy at the register went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our drinks. It passed the boba thirst bar with flying colors! I will be back!!

Beautiful, creative boba drinks made to order - super unique drinks! Awesome staff and solid value - a new favorite boba discovery. DRINKS 4/5 Creative flavors, delicious boba and jellies! Recommend the Thaiger, which is a house blend of milk teas, honey boba and lychee jelly. While the lychee syrup is a tad sweet, the milk tea blend was quite pretty and aromatic. I absolutely loved the honey boba (not too sweet) and the lychee jelly was tasty and refreshing. I would absolutely reorder this (zero sweetness again). The beloved Purple Galaxy is worth the rave! A beautiful drink with excellent taro flavor, drizzled with Oreo mix (syrup). I was both curious and hesitant to order this drink as I enjoy taro, but the combo sounded super sweet, but staff reassured me (deservedly so!) It wouldn't be too sweet with zero sweetness. This was definitely a treat! Will be back to try the OG Milk Tea and Thai Green Tea, which other reviewers mention enjoying. SERVICE 5/5 This is where Bobalust crushes it. Many reviewers rave about awesome staff at Bobalust (multiple locations) - there is no lie!! Staff were super friendly and helpful in providing recommendations when I both requested less sweet drinks and expressed interest in the Purple Galaxy, and was deciding between OG Milk Tea and Thaiger (which admittedly sounded more interesting). My drinks were promptly made, and when they were ready for pickup, staff called them out zero sweetness as ordered - a thoughtful touch! VALUE 4/5 Drinks range from $6-$6.50, which is decent value given how custom Bobalust's drinks are and the quality of ingredients included.

SO SO HAPPY that they finally opened a Bobalust in Seattle! I love this chain and am so happy it's now in UDist. Even though their teas aren't the most authentic, I think their flavors are really creative and I always come here when I am craving a lot of sugar. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a new flavor, the Hello Kitty, which was a Strawberry Milk Tea with Strawberry. I swapped out the strawberry bits for strawberry jelly, which in my opinion, was GREAT. I will always come over to Bobalust when I am in the area :)

This place is new! Came here with my friends and they all like the drink! I ordered a lychee drink with 0% sweetness! Lots of choices to choose from! The drink came out pretty fast! The ambiance is pretty cool, the wall is dark and decorated with neon light and a big menu!

such a cute vibe in this shop. the star shaped boba is a cute touch. usually i think a lot of boba shops are too sweet even when i ask for less sugar but this one was really good. super friendly service here as well

A nice little boba shop with super friendly service. Upon walking in we were greeted and offered several recommendations for drinks. There were so many tempting ones to try, I decided to go with the hokkaido milk tea. I got 50% sweet, which was still plenty sweet for me. It has a tasty caramelized flavor with a syrupy drizzle around the sides. The boba were tasty and delightfully chewy. Lots of seating in the shop to enjoy your drink with friends. A great addition to the area!

Everything we ordered we ordered 1/2 sweet and it came out perfect. Will come back again. Solid spot with super nice staff.

Love the selection of drinks, including combinations that I haven't seen in many other Boba places. Although normally I don't go for blended "slushies", I wanted to try something new with no caffeine. The peach, strawberry, and milk drink with fruit pieces really hit the spot. The honey boba is vibrant and has strong notes of honey - I love that it's not just your typical brown sugar or sugar syrup mix. Drink came out within a minute or two. Great service and definitely a place to check out.

Visiting from The SF Bay area, this is pretty close to what you can there. The chewiness of the boba is on point--good texture, not too soft, but soft enough...no one likes a mushy, soft boba. The tables were empty when I arrived, but there was a steady flow of people coming in and out. We were the only group that occupied a table. We ordered the Wintermelon Bliss, Thaiger & Strawberry Seduction smoothie. I enjoyed the boba and grass jelly combination on my wintermelon drink--it was refreshing and satisfying and my partner enjoyed their strawberry smoothie. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

The staff were super friendly. I ordered the Wintermelon Bliss. Normal sugar was too sweet, which the staff did warn me but I didn't expect it to be THAT sweet. Would go for less sugar next time. Staff was really nice in helping us add more tea to lessen the sugar concentration. Boba was decent. Seating was enough, but ambiance was meh.

I've been to bobalust many times at their original location. I decided to stop by their new location on the ave. Right off the bat when I was ordering the girl at the register was super friendly and was very knowledgeable about their drinks. From previous experience I knew that their drinks ran very sweet and wanted to try a new drink from my usual (cuddles on the beach) so when I asked the cashier she recommended me to get 0 sugar and that if it wasn't sweet enough she could add more. When she called my number they even let me try the drink first before pouring it into the cup to make sure it was to my liking. I ended up ordering the Hello Kitty and was pleasantly surprised with how good the drink was. Because it contains calpico the drink was sweet enough without needing to add extra sugar (or what ever sweetener they use). I honestly think it's become my new favorite!

My new favorite place for smoothies!! We forgot to add tapioca pearls but both smoothies were so creamy, flavorful and perfectly balanced. Everyone was also so so friendly and welcoming! I'm sad I live quite far away but will definitely have to make the trip over to visit again because it's my new favorite boba shop! (: (There are so many fun flavors to try its pretty hard to pick just one but this is a good problem to have haha)

Got the chamolly, the taro milk tea and the blushing dragon and they were all really good! The chamolly was a bit sour but other than that they were all delicious got 3 fantastic macarons too!! Restaurant was beautiful and drinks came quick!

This is a cute and modern boba joint on the Ave! The employees were super helpful in helping me decide what drink to order. They have quite a lot of unique drinks to choose from. I ended up ordering the lychee bomb. It was delicious! I will be back to try more of their drinks.

Staff was friendly, but the tea was watery and the flavors were not good. If you like very sweet boba tea, this would be your place. Cute from the outside but could be cozier inside.

I highly dislike it when establishments don't allow patrons to use their restrooms. It feels illegal, and, in some cases, is illegal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restroom_Access_Act The boba, though, was delicious. The staff was friendly (minus the bathroom). The drink came quickly. And the store was clean and beautiful. I would definitely come back again for the drinks, and would happily increase to 5 stars if the bathrooms were opened.

Just stopped by was craving some sweet drink. I mistakenly created a drink, but the menu looked absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back for the Blue Lagoon. I have been looking for a yummy boba place to call my favorite on the Ave and BobaLust exceeded my expectations. The service is always great and the workers are friendly. The vibe inside is good, it's dark with a good subtle music playing. I would suggest this place if you are going on a first date or just doing some homework. Overall I've always had good experiences here and the drinks are consistently yummy!

Full 5 stars for this boba shop because their menu contains WINTERMELON, my favorite, there are lots of creative and delicious-looking drink options, there's free wifi with many tables and seating, and the staff are really friendly! Another great feature I noticed is that every single table has an outlet that accompanies it, so it's perfect for popping in to study or do work. You don't have to be that person that goes in and looks longingly at the folks that snagged a spot with the highly sought after outlet. I normally stick with the basics--wintermelon tea if they have it or milk tea, but I decided to add on a fun one to try and actually loved it. It was called Cuddles on the Beach (peach, mango, peach bits, strawberry bits) and yea, very good stuff. The Wintermelon Bliss was also excellent. If you've had the wintermelon tea from Yi Fang, it's really similar to that flavor but with milk, grass jelly, and boba. Excited to try more!

My favorite boba chain in Seattle has finally come to the U District!!! So happy LOL. If you've been to any of their other locations you know the menu but this place has everything like milk tea, fruit tea, smoothies and slushies. Personally like everything on the menu but my favorites are the Legend of Momo and Cuddles on the Beach. The boba is fresh and drinks always good and the workers are super chill. Another plus is that the cups are a little bigger than most boba shops so you get even more drink!!! There's also plenty of seating inside to hang out with friends and they open late (until 10pm). Definitely check out this spot it's my new favorite on the Ave :)

Terrible boba and terrible ambiance. With a boba shop, I can forgive a bleak environment if the drinks are at least very good, but this place didn't have either and so I felt the need to let others know about it. First, the tea is overpriced with very little variety. All of their "specials" sound like awful jungle juice creations that your terrible frat buddy made up and sound way too complicated and sweet. I got something off of the "regular" menu, just a wintermelon green tea, and even that was so sweet I couldn't have more than two sips. That tea, which was about the cheapest thing you could have, was over $7 after tax. Definitely didn't have enough options and even their lower cost options sucked. Second, the atmosphere is extremely austere and not welcoming to spend time in. The chairs are rigid plastic and uncomfortable and there aren't enough tables and chairs in the place. I was with a group of people for a meet up and none of us wanted to stay there. The floors & walls, plus the very sparse decorations feel cold and unwelcoming, which again I could forgive if their boba was good, but it wasn't. The only thing that saved this place from a 1 star review was the staff. They seemed nice and remade my tea when it was too sweet. I don't fault the staff for anything because they're just college kids who don't own the place and can't make changes. However (again not the staff's fault), even the remake of the tea didn't taste very good and was still a bit too sweet, even with 50% sweetness. In short, I do not lust for bobalust.

A cute and Instagramable place with good vibes. Decorated with plants and a neon sign. Good music and great customer service. There is a whole variety of delicious drinks so there is something for everyone!

Walked past this place around 10pm at night. While passing by this place was actually really empty but since I have never been to this shop before I entered out of curiosity. While I came in for milk tea I ended up purchasing a Cuddles on the Beach. It was absolutely delicious, super fruity with nice chunks of peaches inside. Seriously a pleasant surprise and I now want to try the other smoothies too. Cute interior and fast service.
