I visited Bobbette & Belle and was thoroughly impressed by their selection of beautifully crafted pastries. I tried the Banana Walnut Muffin, which was moist, perfectly balanced in sweetness, and had a delightful crunch from the walnuts, kick of saltiness in the end- definitely a 9/10. The real standout, however, was the Chocolate Hazelnut Cake—a 10/10 masterpiece. The rich, velvety chocolate paired with the nutty depth of hazelnut created an indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Every bite was decadent without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was charming, and the quality of their baked goods speaks for itself. I’ll definitely be back to try more!

Google
Can I give them an extra star?!! I honestly haven’t found a single thing on the menu I don’t love. The cakes are moist and flavorful, the brownies are rich and fudgy, and the pies are absolutely delicious. Everything tastes homemade and just sweet enough—not overly sugary like some places. You can tell they care about quality. Easily one of my favorite bakeries!

We pre-ordered cupcakes for Easter and brought them to our family gathering. They were all a big hit! They were all so decadent, rich, filling and super cute to boot! Will definitely come back again

The carrot cake is perfect! We have been ordering the everyday cakes for all of our special occasions. We used a cake topper and the look and taste was fantastic.

This place is cute. Its got quite some seating for the small place they have and loved their Zucchini Walnut Muffin and carrot cake. Their birthday cakes are amazing too.

Google
We purchased my bridal shower cake from Bobbette & Belle and it was so beautiful and tasty! I had always loved their shop so it was a dream of mine to have one of their cakes at my shower. My guests absolutely loved the cake and the experience was lovely. Highly recommend for any of your event pastry needs!

Google
Pre-Order for Valentine’s Day: beautiful in person and sizes of the cupcakes and cookies were perfect. I’m usually super excited to bring home my orders. However, the valentines special cake in comparison to previous years, keeps getting smaller and smaller despite being 2-4 servings. And I can confirm it because I’ve purchased them before. They also used the smallest amount of strawberry shortcake filling. Cake is still Beautiful, but have to think twice about getting the cake for years to come. Price wise, on the expensive side. As for taste, a little overly sweet but was okay.

Yelp
Place was beautiful the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating .

Yelp
Tried the blueberry scone with lemon curd? (4/5) and nanaimo bar (5/5) today. The blueberry scone was moist, had a generous amount of blueberries but I found that a lot of the blueberries sunk down to the bottom so it wasn't evenly dispersed throughout the scone. The lemon curd complimented the scone wonderfully. One of the better blueberry scones I've had. The nanaimo bar was so tasty and chocolatey with different textures. I loved the coconut in it as well.

Yelp
We love sitting here in the cafe having a coffee and scone! The decor and ambiance is very cute. My favourites are the chocolate hazelnut cake and scones! The cupcakes are made with a buttercream icing so the top isn't too sweet, which I love! I'm not a fan of the icing sugar frosting.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Had a slice of the hazelnut cake. It was very rich and chocolatey, good to share. The large balls on top are thick shavings of hazelnut chocolate. The ganache is a smidge too sweet for me but the buttercream and crushed hazelnut outside was delicious. They also have other sweets such as cupcakes available. Plenty of seating available. Service was friendly.

Yelp
I used to swing by Bobbette & Belle in Leslieville--a top bakery known for its stunning baked goods in the area. Recently, at a family holiday gathering, I finally got to taste their festive cupcakes at this Yonge location, and boy, did they steal the spotlight! Since they're closed on Christmas, my cousin's wife pre-ordered for delivery a day in advance. Unfortunately, by Christmas evening, they weren't as fresh, so not everyone enjoyed them fully--they were a tad stale. But, not having enough space amidst the multitude of cakes, I took one to go for Boxing Day. Surprisingly, even after two days, it still held up well! The buttercream wasn't overly sweet, and I could easily devour a whole cupcake solo. Though my SO would beg to differ and say that the cupcake could be more moist, but I can't blame them... it is 2 day old at that point.

Yelp
Dry, sad, dessert.... This is the 2nd time that the North York location has let me down. Twice with the individual sticky toffee pudding cakes that were dry and definitely not made 'day of'. Twice disappointing my dinner party guests and the LAST time I will trust this shop for a dessert. There are much better, trusted bakeries in Toronto. A waste of money.

Yelp
Came here on a whim as it was the closest bakery to us at the time. Cute little place that would be great to hang out in once covid ends. Currently only 4 customers allowed at a time in the store. We got the brownies, toffee pudding, and nanaimo bars. I loved the brownies and toffee pudding. I wish they had the option to have your toffee pudding warm as I think it would be extra delicious. The nanaimo bar was too sweet for me. Delicious but not to my taste. I cant wait to try other pastries from this place once they are back to operating fully.

Yelp
It's such a cute coffee shop with style. So as soon as you enter there are few sitting spots then the cafe and more seating at the back. The back of the coffee shop is very classy with restoration hardware chandelier and damask sofa positioned in the center. So I went in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was full hence didn't get the chance to enjoy my coffee their. I went here after seeing them on yelp and was very excited to try their signature and famous hazelnut cake. Its a huge slice and is loaded with hazelnut filling in between the layers of the cake and lots of hazelnut bits on the outside of the cake.It was moist and delicious but wayyyyyy tooo hazelnutty for my liking I wish they didn't put the bits.Maybe next time I would try the chocolate cake. I did have their house blend coffee was pretty good-it wasn't warm enough so I asked the cashier so give it a few spins in the microwave. The highlight of the visit was this amazing chocolate dipped pecan shortbread cookie-it was serious dabomb.I would go there again just for this. The service was quick and friendly. This cafe would get my 5 stars only if it was a tad bit cozier I found the seating at the back quite lit and not cozy. There is paid parking outside the cafe but on a Saturday afternoon it was a challenge to get a spot to park. Overall an amazing cafe and a must try.

Yelp
A co-worker of mine brought cupcakes to work. They were delicious I tried the nutella one. The cake was flavorful and fluffy. The icing was light. Everyone in the office agreed that they love the cake but there was mix reviews on the icing . Some thought it wasn't sweet enough.

Yelp
This place is really cute, I can't wait to come back when we get the okay to dine in again. I had the lemon meringue tart and it was scrumptious! They have an assortment of cupcakes, cakes and other pastries. I'll be back for sure!

Roger E.

Yelp
Way over priced and very inconsistent. The head office must be very disorganized and I think the owner is very out of touch with value for money and the cache her brand has. They have not stayed up to date and are far lagging behind newer better places in quality and value.

Yelp
I just love Bobbette & Belle French bakery and cafe. I had been here when the cafe was so busy with line up and I had been here when I was the only customer here. I would avoid Sunday afternoon when it can be impossible to even get a seat/table. I ended up turn around and left because of how busy this place was. But my recent visit on a late afternoon was just a perfect experience! The staff was friendly and even brought over my cappuccino to my table! And of course, I would highly recommend a treat or 2 to go with the drink. Drop by if you are in the area or make a date to meet up with your friend over a cup of latte in their well appointed seating area.

Yelp
I've been loving bobbette & belle for a couple years now after trying their cupcakes at a birthday party. I usually always go for their cupcakes but my boyfriend got me this cake (pictured) for my birthday so I got to try it. He had to place the order in advance and schedule pick up. He said the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very professional. There were a few options for sizes for cake but we went for the 6 inch. The cake had layers of decadent chocolate cake and chocolate ganache and was covered in butter cream and chopped hazel nuts. On top were real chocolate curls. The chocolate plaque was gold dusted. The cake was sooooo good! Moist, not too sweet, rich and you could tell it was great quality. This size was perfect for 10 people, as you only need a small slice to enjoy. Would definitely recommend for future events.

Yelp
We happened to be in the neighborhood and were craving for some cakes, so we walked in and ordered a slice of vanilla raspberry cake and a slice of carrot cake to go. The service was really friendly and the cakes were really tasty especially with iced coffee. This will be our go to place for cakes from now on!

Yelp
Amazing! A wonderful sweet gem in the city. Beautifully decorate with vintage and rustic pieces. An array of baked goods on display along with some teas and their books for sales--very homey and stylish. I tried an alfajores and a hot chocolate. The alfajore is a cookie sandwich of two shortbread cookies with a caramel filling rolled in coconut. I'm not a fan of caramel but this one is subtle; you taste more of the buttery shortbread. So light, fluffy and delicate, it was delicious. I was also impressed by the hot chocolate. I'm so used to getting hot chocolate where all you taste is sugar and milk. Here, you taste the cocoa! It wasn't sweet either. This is what a hot chocolate should be like. Also liked how they brûléed the marshmallow on top. Cute! Coming back here again to try their cakes! For all you instagrammies out there, this has a great backdrop to take your pics.

Yelp
Absolutely love this cute modern-style bakery in Toronto! My family would often have their round red velvet cakes for Christmas. The sponge was so soft and had so much flavor. Their red velvet was the best that I've ever had! The flavors are not too strong and the cream cheese icing is not too sweet but still very creamy. The only thing is that their cake may seem like it has too much icing but it's easy to separate the icing from the sponge. The red velvet cake is one of the best sweet treats to have when you're looking for something with the perfect amount of sweetness to satisfy your sweet-tooth cravings. I also had the opportunity to try their assorted cupcake tray. The chocolate icing was an amazing tasting chocolate. You could taste how pure it was. I am not a huge fan of chocolate sponge cake, but the chocolate sponge was not too overbearing with a chocolate flavor. I love the variety of different selections of cakes and other pasties that Bobbette & Belle has. The shop is so open and inviting, I definitely highly recommend this bakery/patisserie to anyone!

Yelp
Lovely place to get a tea/coffee and something sweet. There are so many dessert options, it can be hard to choose but I don't think you can go wrong. The decor is also very nice.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
Their cakes and tarts for preorder are amazing!! I found the muffins, macaroons tastes ok...possibly day old. Coffee mugs are hard to hold because they are so big and round, the handle is too small to hold esp when hot. The ambiance is very French and beautiful.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent pasty shop and bakery! Some workers might jot have the best service but their pastries and ambiance are worth 5 stars! Great sit in cafe. Wifi is spotty and doesn't rly work. Great selection of macarons!! Croissants are okay but I like em w more butter and flakiness. Coffee was good. Tea was good.

Yelp
I came here for a vanilla cupcake (strawberry icing + two adorable gummy bear couple) and strawberry champagne macaroon. Both had just the right amount of sweetness. My significant other does not like macaroons but he enjoyed that one!! I was surprised. Also, this place is super cute and perfect for dates. Update: I came back two weeks later to try their other macaroons. I tried flavours like strawberry champagne (again) chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mint, salted caramel, and I forget the purple one (might have been some sort of flower). The salted caramel was disappointing as it's a flavour I normally like. Not enough caramel flavour, just a tad too buttery + salty taste. The rest were just okay. The strawberry champagne blows the others out of the park. I would come back for that macaroon over and over. We also ordered tea (peppermint & peaches and cream). The cute oversized tea cups it came in was too large for just one tea bag. I had to steep it for so long that my tea got warm/cool. I should have asked for a second tea bag.

Yelp
Bought some cakes and asked if i can use the bathroom and they said "NO". I don't get it, u guys re-open the restaurant, people can some have coffee and cakes and don't allow them to use the bathroom?! Seriously ??! R u against the law ?? Even though the cakes are good but I won't visit again. Eventually, I need to go to Starbucks .....

Yelp
I love Bobbette & Belle - they get a 4.5 stars rating from me! I honestly think that if I was asked which TO bakery and cafe I would recommend, this would be it! Their heavenly treats are delicious and so fresh tasting - I've enjoyed everything that I've tried here. I particularly love their blueberry scone (it sells out so fast though!), toffee pudding cake and their butter tarts - these ones are definitely a must try here. The hello dolly square, brownie and caramel scone are also good. Great selection of squares, scones, cake slices, tarts, cupcakes, macarons, and beverages like lattes, Sloane teas, etc. all in a really charming setting. It's easy to see why it's always busy. There are a few seats right by the entrance and more seats after the display case and cash register. The theme seems to be a cute rustic chic look and somehow it works with the elegant glass covers that keep the treats tasting fresh throughout the day. Staff here are great too - they seem to love working here, they know the menu ingredients well and make great recommendations. I only wish that the prices were a bit lower so that I could buy more treats each time as I easily spend at least $20 or so here on each visit. I have to admit that the quality of the treats is so worth the splurge though! Enjoy this super cute gem!

Yelp
Excellent oatmilk latte and red velvet cupcake. It wasn't too sweet and the service was great. First time there and won't be the last!!!
google avatar

Lena S.

Yelp
Really beautiful place. The aesthetic of the place and food is on point. Taste wise, it was okay. Everything tasted good but were not amazing. The pastries were more delicious than the cupcakes. Unfortunately, I thought it was quite expensive for what you yet.
google avatar

May C.

Yelp
The best cupcake ever! I have the red velvet and lemon; they are both soft and moist. Their frosting is the best part; it's light, creamy, smooth and it has the right amount of sweetness. They wowed me and I'm already craving for more!!
google avatar

Andrea T.

Yelp
Disappointed. Macarons are not good, way too dry. Staff is not friendly either. Little boutique, cold atmosphere and dark inside. Too bad, the set up was pretty...
google avatar

Julia T.

Yelp
This is easily one of the cutest places I have ever been to. It is furnished so elegantly, with cute décor, and endless baked goods and cakes. There is free Wi-Fi, so it was super convenient to find a place to sit down and catch up on some work. I was most relaxed in this atmosphere. Two hot chocolates for a coolish day, and two pastries later... we were satisfied with the quality and the richness. If I ever plan a party, I would most definitely cater from them. Their cakes look beautiful.
google avatar

Caaren H.

Yelp
A very charming patisserie shop around midtown. I love their Chocolate Hazelnut Cake. Not too sweet but still really good. It's a bit pricey $6.95 for a slice of cake, but it's definetly worth it.
google avatar

Katerina F.

Yelp
All my guests are very disappointed about a cake. I ordered the Mango Passion Fruit cake for my birthday in Yonge street Location. The cake is overpriced paid $65 for 8". Sorry, it is only sour mango flavour in a buttercream for 65 dollars, way too much. A cake sponge is very heavy, a lack of taste. Not light at all. You can bay similar cake for a half price.
google avatar

Glenn C.

Yelp
They sure make pretty pastries but if you don't like being mistreated and lied to I would suggest buying pretty pastries somewhere else. Katrina that works there has to be the worst customer service person I've ever dealt with. She was rude, misleading and showed no remorse for the position this bakery left us in. We have made many efforts to support this bakery by purchasing cakes / pastries from this bakery. We have dealt with their pretentiousness numerous times but never like we did today. They have ruined our special occassion.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of almost all macaron places and the Yongue location of Bobbette and Belle is no different. I've only been to the Queen Street Bobette and Belle once and adored it - the layout, everything. This Bobette and Belle is less spacious, but nevertheless, has the trademark of Bobbette and Belle's elegant design. Came here for macaron day 2016! I find it great that they host these types of events, because it lets people like myself try out their macarons from their free giveaway and then bookmark it for the future and I will definitely come back! The macaron that they gave away was a little tough to bite, but from knowing Bobette and Belle's macarons, I knew they were much softer and decided to but a box of 6 for $15 and they were scrumptious! We also got a blueberry scone that day, definitely get the cream on the side - it's the best part. The scone was a little hard for me (but that's just my preference because I enjoy wetter softer scones), but it still tasted delicious. Bobbette and Belle is a quiet cafe - definitely a place I can study in. So happy they opened in this location because the Queen Street East location is super far for me!
google avatar

Sammie S.

Yelp
In the neighbourhood, I was lucky enough to enter this adorable shop. It was quiet and spotless on a Monday morning. I asked if an item was eggless but it wasn't. The kind person behind the counter then told me about some cookies that are eggless and some customers like to use to make ice cream sandwiches. Amazing service. My kid will love the sea salt chocolate cookies. I had a splendid cup of coffee and took some carrot cake home. The carrot cake was delicious. Note it had a bit more of a nutmeg taste initially - good to know if you don't love nutmeg. The icing was more butter than cream cheese. I loved the nuts in this. Overall a winner but if I am ever lucky enough to return then I will try the chocolate hazelnut cake next times. Cake is only $7 for a very large slice, which is reasonable for the quality.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Tastes great but I was expecting more variety. Instead, I was met with a standard 'vanilla' selection that lacked creativity in design. If you're looking for high-end gourmet flavours like fluffy white chocolate, this ain't it chief. Nonetheless, quality is consistent throughout this cupcake line, making it a good stopover for afternoon tea.
google avatar

Yelp
After Sunday brunch my girlfriends and I continued our conversation over some sweet treats at Bobbette & Belle. What a delightful cafe! From the moment you step in, you are greeted by a counter cascading with beautiful baked creations including macarons, tarts, pies and cakes. We ordered the hazelnut chocolate cake - voted the second best cake in Toronto. We loved it! They have a generous selection of coffees & teas. There is a variety of seating including stand alone tables, booths, and one prized couch near the back. I recommend the front tables between the counter of baked goods and the storefront window. The decor is rustic and parisien and the ambiance will delight your soul. They have a lovely selection of take home gifts including baked macarons and cookies, a variety of teas encased within tins and boxes in every color of the rainbow, and a beautiful recipe book. I look forward to returning again and again!

Yelp
Gentlemen, Flowers are nice, but a dessert from Bobbette and Belle is sumptuous! My wife loves, loves, loves cupcakes, so I had to treat her to a Bobbette and Belle cupcake. You'll notice right away the selection isn't as extensive as some other bakeries but the quality is prominent. I purchased the following cupcakes, salted caramel, a hazelnut and a chocolate cupcake. The most noticeable element of these cupcakes was the buttercream icing. Creamy and lightly infused with the flavor of either caramel, hazelnut or chocolate, the buttercream was a wonderful change from the typical mountain of frosted sugar you find with other bakeries. Not that we don't like mountains of frosted sugar, but definitely a wonderful change from the mainstream. I would definitely recommended the salted caramel for a first time experience!
google avatar

Tiffany C.

Yelp
love the decor at Bobbette and Belle. simple, chique, and very comfy boutique style atmosphere. Ordering cakes are very convenient and staff are very eager to assist you. Friendly staff makes the shop really comfortable. Cakes are Delicious and a good size for the price you are paying. Taste is not too sweet but highlights all the notes that the description promises. The hazelnut one was perfect, but I would say that the red velvet was not as flavourful as I wanted. Buttercream is good consistency and still tastes fresh even 3 days after (if it even lasts that long, we only had 3 people so the cake was massive). Macarons are one of the best in town. Would go back for these for sure
google avatar

Chusa N.

Yelp
Cute little shop with great staff. Cupcakes were very moist and dense enough to hold up to the rich buttercream, but not at all heavy. All the cupcakes we tried were delicious - not overly sweet and the flavours were spot on. Would have liked a heavier cream cheese flavour for the frosting on the red velvet, though. Between the red velvet, lemon, chocolate hazelnut and salted caramel, the salted caramel was the stand out for me. The salt in the caramel added a nice contrast.
google avatar

Elaine K.

Yelp
I don't know from desserts. I've never been a big fan of sweets and find most dessert menus as dry as the paper they're printed on. Therefore, when I am forced to make a decision on others' behalf, I get very stressed out. This was one of those times. The lady at the shop was very patient with me, a shopper whose task was akin to asking a colour-blind person to choose paint chips. I bought two dozen macarons, (thankfully they have 12 varieties), and a couple of treats for my boss' birthday. I brought the treats in to work and they were all met with rabid excitement and somewhat NSFW eating sounds. Clearly, this is a very good dessert shop, and worth the price. My only complaint was that they had some items in the display that were priced, but was told were for display only. Which is confusing and a bit annoying. Otherwise, this place is great if you want to impress someone with a decadent treat.
google avatar

Martin L.

Yelp
The drip coffee is good, ambiance is great. Staff are responsive and friendly. Would definitely return!
google avatar

Rupa S.

Yelp
Cute little cupcake shop with nice floral decorations and a great display. The cupcakes were decent sized, obviously pricey. But they tasted pretty good! the banana fudge was great!! The macaroons were very good and came in a variety of flavours but very expensive! They do have space to sit and sip on tea/hot beverages. I'd say it's a great place to sit and chat or catch up! Overall- cutesy cupcake/macaron place with above average pastries for an expensive price!
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
I am a huge sucker of their macarons and decor of the space... They have one of the best macarons in Toronto and I would absolutely recommend everyone to come here. Staff is always friendly and their macrons are always fresh and consistent. Ambiance: 5/5 Service:5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Coffee: 4/5
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
When you first walk in you notice how beautifully decorated the inside is, it complements nicely with the quiet and peaceful environment they've created here where you can come to enjoy coffee and pastries while doing work or quietly chatting with your friends or family. I had the opportunity to munch on the delicious blueberry scones and a variety of macarons. The macarons were as good as we expected, they were soft, slightly chewy, didn't break apart too much and had a delicious taste unique to the flavours that we bought. The blueberry scone I enjoyed very much, it was crunchy on the outside but very soft and smooth on the inside. It was the perfect mix of subtle saltiness with hints of sweet flavours. We came here for Macaron day 2016 and the free macaron they gave us way too chewy, but the flavour was interesting. We reasoned that the chewiness came from it being frozen overnight to be served for Macaron day because they needed to make a lot of them for Macaron day. So we didn't take this into account in the review. Would definitely come back to try something new at this place or indulge the same treats again!
google avatar

Elle Z.

Yelp
This is a fantastic bake shop and I highly recommend it! I have enjoyed goodies from Bobbette and Belle every once in while over the last 5 years. They consistently have great cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats. I recently visited the other day and tried their macaroons for the first time. I had the following flavours: espresso, vanilla, hazelnut and s'mores. They were all SO good, moist, fresh and flavourful. My favourite was s'mores. I would say better then Laudree macrons for sure! It's. Beautiful little store front perfect for coffee dates.
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
The 4 stars is only for their amazing hazelnut chocolate cake! Not a cheap slice ($7) but the cake is moist, not overly sweet, and the hazelnut chocolate shredded on top makes it an amazing flavor combination. A lovely treat and a perfect slice that you need to try if you're a fan of hazelnut and chocolate cake. it's pretty decadent so my husband and I typically buy one slice to share and we try to make it last two days!
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Excellent quality cake for that special occasion. I've picked up cakes from here for many birthday events. This is the kind of cake that you get for someone that you care about (not the office birthdays where you can just pick up a cake from Costco). Their cakes are dense, rich, moist and the best part is that the frosting is just perfect (unlike the diabetes frosting from most other establishments). I notice that they also have cupcakes, which is a good sampler size if you want to check the quality and taste of their cakes. They also do weddings and other events, which I'm sure would require a special order. What I like is that they have generic cakes that are ready to be purchased for last minute people like me. They've taken my phone call and placed the order for me over the phone before too.
google avatar

Aida K.

Yelp
The blue berry pie was great. The coffee taste was nothing unordinary. But great atmosphere.

Yelp
Early Sunday breakfast. Very clean & beautiful decor. Food was good, nothing to brag about though. There were 2 French speaking staffs (owners, possibly)on site. Both ignored us as we entered the store. We went and got our own table. Waited at the front counter for a good 10 minutes before one of the staffs approached us to take our orders. The entire transaction was quite cold. It wasn't until we were almost done that another staff member arrived. She approached our table to greet us & asked if she could further serve us. Would I return?! Not likely.

Yelp
I am always fond of cute and quaint little stores and Bobette & Belle was no exception of cute and homey. The furniture and decor create a vintage feel that it makes this the perfect destination to have a cup of tea and catch up with friends/family. The drinks and pastries did not disappoint at all either. I had a slice of the Maple Pecan Pie as well as the Sticky Toffee Pudding and both were phenomenal. The pecans were soft and the pudding was warm, making both desserts just heavenly. The pastries were paired with a large cup of Heavenly Cream tea which was fragrant with a small kick of spice and a cup of mocha latte topped with the usual leaf foam. This "meal" was a perfect compliment of sweetness and bitterness that I will definitely be returning for more!

Yelp
A cute little place on Yonge st! This place displays very cute macarons and yummy pastries. They have a variety of flavors for the macarons to accompany your tea or coffee. The ambiance is beautiful inside. It was a picture perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee.
