Google
Hands down one of the best cheesesteaks. It’s super flavorful and the fried onions and house made wiz tops it all off. My wife got the Italian and it was amazing as well. Everything is made on their house made rolls that are soft but has the perfect pull.

Google
A quick Sunday lunch at Bobby Bay’s Sandwich Shop. The “Tuscan Fries” with Parmesan, Mediterranean Herbs & Truffle Oil were delicious. Jalapeño or Buttermilk Ranch dipping sauces. Italian, Ribeye Cheesesteak and Short Rib & Brisket Burger. ~ I would get the fries and the Italian again, but there are better cheesesteaks out there. Very clean establishment and very friendly staff.

Google
One of the top sandwich spots in Lancaster County. I got the Bobby Cheesesteak, which was definitely the best I’ve had in the area and very reminiscent of a good Philly steak. It comes with house whiz, but they also had other options. I went with the cooper sharp. Some spots don’t load the roll enough, but I had plenty of steak, onions and cheese in every bite. A really outstanding sandwich with an amazing roll. You also can’t wrong with the Italian. I was also super shocked at how fast this place is. The wait time was less than five minutes for our sandwiches, even with the place packed. Do yourself a favor and get yourself to Bobby Bay’s.

Google
I had an Italian the way it comes and was pleasantly surprised. Fresh ingredients, good portions and a rock solid sub! I will definitely return to try the cheese steak. Limited seating and it gets crowded around meal time.

Google
Ordered online and was ready when I got there. Truffle fries and the Johnny Boy. an absolutely amazing sandwich. My new favorite sandwich of anywhere I have been! I can not wait to try the rest of their food because it was so good! Also had the PNP which was a great desert I ate later

Google
Solid fresh bread, good quality, fresh ingredients, and very reasonable prices for what you're getting. They get the details right, like fresh, bright green (not wilty half yellow) arugula in a sandwich. A good amount of meat, excellent fries served straight from the fryer.

Google
I used to say the best sandwich I’ve ever had was at Rosenfeld’s down at the beach, but the Big Vito from Bobby Bay’s is my favorite sandwich of all time. Not even close. I like the cheesesteaks a lot too, but I keep coming back to the BV. I’ve probably had it almost 10 times now. Seriously good. The truffle oil is the move. Their homemade sauces are so good. Always gotta get the cherry pepper mayo and horseradish cream sauce to dip the fries in (fries are also grade-A). I tried Bruno’s the other day after telling a friend about BB. It was good, but the bread and the sauces make BB a league of its own.

Google
Stopped by Bobby’s while I was in town from St. Louis MO, to give it a chance. And so glad I did. Got the chicken Philly and fries, both Absolutely delicious. Wish there was one near me but I enjoyed it while I can!

Yelp
Awesome subs! I've have hot and cold subs and they're all 5/5! This is my new go to Lancaster spots for subs.

Yelp
I've been debating whether it's fair to compare cheesesteaks to authentic Philly...yes, yes it is. With that, let's begin. The best cheesesteaks are made with quality rolls and ribeye steak. For me, chopped is the best format. So I ordered a cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp and no Whiz, homemade or not, since the fact is real OG Philly cheesesteaks use American, not Whiz. Cooper Sharp is the acceptable modernization as it's just a sharper American. The rolls here are very narrow like torpedoes, not scooped out, and without much flavor. The meat is properly cooked and chopped, seasoned well, and tasty, only dragged down by the roll. And the cherry pepper spread brings very subtle heat. All in all a good steak for the Lancaster area, but 3.5* in Philly. My companion had the LA Chicken and while she said it tasted pretty good, she thought it was too messy and said she'd not order it again. A passable first try that begs for a follow up...soon.

Yelp
Shopping at TANGER. Wanted a quick nosh. Fries are absolutely amazing - hot, fresh and skin on. Coleslaw - fresh, cold and just a little kick. Chicken cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp - bun just right and lots of protein. Craig got The Big Vito - bread just the right texture, fresh ingredients, lots of Italian cold cuts and the right spice. Will be back.

Yelp
Most definitely the best sandwich place in town with a fresh selection and awesome bread. Highly recommend for your next pickup order!

Yelp
I'm from the St. Louis, MO area. So I was excited to try this while I was in Pennsylvania. I saw it had good reviews so figured it was worth a shot. And it was! So here's another good review. Food came out quick and was soooo yummy!

Yelp
We stopped at the new Mt.Joy location for chicken cheese steaks and all the talk about delicious sandwiches is absolutely true. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is seating both inside and in the front of the store.

Yelp
We were waited on by a friendly lady on a Monday night and even though there were multiple to-go orders - our food was served within 5-10 minutes. I had the crispy chicken which I enjoyed. The flavor was GOOD. The only negative was that the bacon wasn't crispy on my sandwich or my SIL's burger. Next time I will make sure to ask for crispy bacon. All of us enjoyed our meal and will come back again.

Yelp
HEY BOBBY BAY YOU MADE MY DAY YOUD BEAT BOBBY FLAY THERE IS NO AMOUNT I WOULDNT PAY ANYONE WHO GIVES THIS LESS THAN 5 IS CRAY Ok, but really this is fantastic. The sandwiches are in the mid-teens for price but I could easily get two meals from one sandwich (they are 10in). You really can't compare the cost to other spots when they are baking the rolls fresh, cooking everything and using high quality meats and cheeses. The Italian was even excellent the next day after it spent 4 hours in the danger zone unrefrigerated. The bread is tremendous. Fries were good but wouldn't get again.

Yelp
I loved Bobby Bay's!! we had the Sorrento Salad and Don Parma, and The Turk. The service was quick and sandwiches were delicious. Although you wouldn't necessarily come here for salad, they are not to be slept on because ours was delicious too. The inside is cute and well decorated, if a little small. Would love to come back soon and try another of their unique and tasty options!

Yelp
Ok when I saw the menu and the ingredients ( Truffle Whiz, cherry pepper mayo ) that I didn't know if I'd like them or not on a cheesesteak BUT! I was pleasantly surprised the ingredients went together very well and the beef was a high grade meat very very delicious.

Yelp
We very much enjoyed our sandwiches from Bobby Bay's. Fresh ingredients and great bread that really hit the spot. Call ahead or order when you get there.

Yelp
Good service - nice cashier Cheesesteaks were good but a little bland for my taste Loaded fries were nice and crispy with real bacon and a good cheese sauce. Booth seating

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. Had cheesesteaks with beef and chicken. The sauce was good as the bread but needed more meat. The timing was good.

Yelp
Nice little sub shop. This was our second time at Bobby's. Got the Italian and Cali Cheesesteak. Both were delicious. The sub rolls are good. Subs were made quickly.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here, the Bobby cheesesteak was SO good I even had the second half the next day and it was still delicious. Will definitely order again, fries were decent as well. My boyfriend had a burger (2 patties) very delicious, he enjoyed.

Yelp
Place was very clean. Wife and I ordered the same sandwich. Her sandwich looked good. My sandwich? Roll was burnt and very little meat...extremely dry. We traveled a good distance based on reviews...my bad.

Yelp
Excellent!! My brother and I were up here for a funeral and decided to have an early lunch. I had the Diablo and he had the JohnnyBoy. The bread was fresh baked and delicious and the subs were large. Mediterranean fries had a layering of flavors. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Jao S.

Yelp
Friendly staff, the Tuscan fries were quite good as was the BLTA, but the reason I will be coming back is the Chicken Cheesesteak!

Yelp
Great sandwich place in Lancaster. Quaint sandwich shop with lots of excellent options. I got The Turk and it was delicious. They make their own bread and it made the sandwich. Different flavor profiles than typical but also some standards with their own twist. Friendly staff and quieter atmosphere. Would highly recommend for lunch. Quick and efficient service.

Yelp
We tried Bobby bay's for the first time today at the new location in Mount Joy. It was delicious! But I was kind a little bummed with how thick the prosciutto was. I think they may be slicing it themselves(?). Maybe slice it thinner, it'll be easier to digest and chew. I am in the industry myself and after studying at the culinary institute of America, we were always taught to slice prosciutto real thin. It just tastes better too and digests better. My husband got the caprese sandwich and he loved it cause it was light but we both agreed it could use a little more mozzarella since that is the main component. He said maybe a juicier tomato that's ripe enough. Maybe leave the mozzarella in the water as well and he said maybe a little more basil. The bread was delicious and easy to eat and we loved that! Other than that, it was delicious and affordable and we will be back!

Colleen C.

Yelp
The food itself is very good but it's a shame their customer service is so bad. Hayley T was so rude both on the phone when taking our order and even worse in person. Bad Customer Service is the quickest way for the business to be ruined.

Carson K.

Yelp
Have tried the Bobby's Cheesesteak and the Chicken Cheesesteak... both very good. Cherry pepper mayo was surprisingly very tasty in both, especially tasted it more in the chicken cheesesteak. Bread stayed fresh/crunchy on the outside even with it loaded with everything on the inside. Service was quick both ordering in the restaurant, and ordering online. Small place but some seating available.

Todd S.

Yelp
Quality ingredients and quick service. Just heard about this place so figured I'd try it. Make sure you read the menu because they don't make things like the italian the traditional way I'm used to. My gf liked the salad as well. cole slaw was way too watery but the flavor was great. Potato salad was good too

Yelp
It is a typical sandwich shop. I stopped by to pick up. The Cobb salad and chef salad were fresh and crispy. The cheesesteak was to die for.. It is nice to have another choice at this end of town. The food is fresh and not high in sodium like the fast food restaurants. Give it a try it is well worth it.

Yelp
Sorry but to pay $17.00 for lunch is crazy. The view is worth it though....a cemetery! Wondered how they could afford the sales price on the property ..... now I know how. Sorry I won't be back Heard a guy ask if they had a turkey/ham combo....the answer from girl was a flat out NO...really you couldn't offer adding turkey to the ham? Give it a year to stay in business

Angelica R.

Yelp
Food was good, the place was cold tho like the heat wasn't working when we went. Service was good overall good evening and will definitely be back but wish they had a second heater for the place.

Rhoda K.

Yelp
We love Bobby Bay's! The best sandwiches in Lancaster area by far. The Johnny Boy with fig jam added is a must try.

Shannon O.

Yelp
My husband and I were scrambling on what to eat last night on our way home. I said I really want a BLT! So I searched and found Bobby Bays. After seeing the menu I realized I needed 2 sandwiches the BLTA was probably the best one of my life. I don't remember what was in the mayo but it was so delicious perfection. I also got the Don Parma which was really good. Heavy on the meat! I will say I'm picky about my proscuitto and fresh mozzarella having an Italian background.. the proscuit was salty and the mozzarella was a good balance for that. The fig jam brings it all together nicely. I am a stickler for my brand of proscuitto. That would elevate this for sure. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and he loved that. We ended up putting a little buttermilk ranch on it. We tried the baked potato salad which someone stopped us which we were there and asked what it was because he had to order it for himself and we had a large order of fries with a jalapeño ranch (as a ranch lover, I wanted to drink this ‍) Ahhh!!! Everything was fantastic. Id go back! A side note, it was generally clean inside as well. We went a little before closing and the woman at the front was taking great care of the place. Bathroom were clean. I want to note that I wasn't even really hungry before going here, it was dinner time but we had eaten a little of moms home cooked food rice beans and chicken with potatoes before the drive so we weren't starved here.. this was really good food! I took two more bites before bed and was so stuffed I almost felt sorry for it almost.

Yelp
I'm reading about this "new" restaurant that many are bragging about and when the hubby asks, "what's for dinner," it was a no-brainer - Bobby Bays. I'm drooling. What an amazing menu! I practically stare at the thang, for what seemed like 20 minutes. Oh what to get? My husband and I actually tried three menu items, because I wanted to give this place a fair try. The Sicilian sounded interesting. For a unique sandwich place such as this, I was expecting a more superior roll (bakery made, soft and crusty). The pistachio mortadella was folded into the roll (like meat from Subway). In between the sliced mortadella was a scrumptious stracciatella cheese. I found the basil pesto having little umph. I couldn't discern the brine in their crispy chicken sandwich, though it was massive. This might be a me thing, but when I think of a cheesesteak sandwich, it's usually massive, meat spilling out, over the roll. This was a much smaller version, but I enjoyed it. I saw no caramelized onions, but the truffle whiz was not overwhelming and made this one, tasty sandwich.

Yelp
I discovered that today was Bobby Bay's Grand Opening. Myself and two coworkers decided to give it a try for lunch. The menu was intriguing given some of the ingredients chosen for their various sandwiches. We called in our order and it was ready upon our arrival so we decided to dine in. The restaurant itself is small, with only several booths to sit at, but everything appeared bright and clean. Service was friendly and accommodating. I must admit it was chilly indoors. There is a private parking lot at this establishment. One coworker ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a side of Fries. Looking at the chicken more closely I expected it to be very crispy, which my coworker confirmed. She said it was very good and complimented the sauce on the sandwich. There were a good amount of fries and they were fresh cut with skin in tact. Other coworker ordered the Bobby cheesesteak which had Cherry pepper mayo and a truffle whiz. She also said she really liked the sandwich noting that the cherry pepper was not too spicy. I was lucky enough to have a bite of the Bobby and also found it enjoyable. The cherry pepper and truffle were both present but not overpowering in any way. I ordered the Brooklyn which has pastrami, gruyere, slaw, pickles and dressing. Gruyere is usually pretty strong however I feel this sandwich's combination worked well and was balanced. Both the Bobby and Brooklyn come on rolls made in house. All three of us enjoyed our selections and commented that we would like to return to explore more of their menu

Yelp
The Sandwiches are so tasty!!! The best restaurant slaw that I've had in a long time! The meat was freshly sliced and the rolls were so fresh. I love this place!

Donna A.

Yelp
First timers. Very fresh and high quality ingredients. The provolone was nice and sharp. I had a wonderful Italian Sub and hubby had a Johnny Boy. Friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick dinner. Not from the area so tried it based on Yelp reviews. Well it was very good. Had the cheesesteak and loaded fries. Very good, and so rich I couldn't finish it all.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! Especially the Cali Cheese steak sandwich. If you're looking for something different than Isaac's or the chain sub shops, give them a try!

Tom T.

Yelp
Coldwell Banker Realty & The Lancastertagteam.com love some Bobby Bay! Check them out. Solid pic.

Tommy Z.

Yelp
From philly and am very picky with my hoagies. I tried a few places around here and they're the closest to getting it right. Good stuff here.

Devin H.

Yelp
I got The Big Vito and Bobby's Cheesesteak. Both subs were nice and stuffed full. The cherry pepper Mayo is a nice lil twist on a normal cheesesteak. Highly recommend

Josi M.

Yelp
Good sandwich but very expensive. Cheese steak was ok but a little too fancy for my liking.

Heather G.

Yelp
So good! Their fresh bread is amazing. The sauce on the cali cheesesteak is delicious. We will be returning customers!

Travis B.

Yelp
Best cheesesteak in Lancaster. Fantastic menu selection well worth the visit. Get the Bobby you won't be disappointed. Nice clean atmosphere with plenty of parking will be a repeat customer for sure! The staff working were very friendly and you can tell they care about customer service!
