Gin-&-tonic cocktails with house-infused gin are the focus at this sophisticated, moody pub.
"Gin never goes out of fashion in Spain, and nowhere is that more apparent than at Gracia's Bobby Gin, which boasts 80 different varieties, as well as five different tonic waters. Unsurprisingly, every single person here is clutching an oversized wine goblet filled with a monstrous G&T, which many consider the best in town—no small feat for a country that has elevated the seemingly humble mixed drink to a cultish status. Bar staff is open and engaging, and more than happy to guide you to the right gin to suit your palate." - Isabelle Kliger, Naren Young
"So, can you tell us a little bit about this place? This long, thin bar is (duh) a wonderful homage to gin, and has made its mark as one of the places to get a gin and tonic in Barcelona. And in Spain, where the seemingly humble mixed drink is a bona fide phenomenon, that's no small feat. Cool. So who’s there? The front part is filled with young, loud patrons milling around the bar; in back, the crowd feels a little older and more civilized. Unsurprisingly, every single person is clutching an oversized wine goblet filled with a monstrous G&T. How are the drinks? Gin never goes out of fashion in Spain, and nowhere is that more apparent than at Bobby Gin, which boasts 80 different varieties, as well as five different tonic waters. What is there to eat, if anything? A short food menu of snacks and tapas, olives, dressed “Bobby-style”, pickled mussels from Galicia and an artisanal cheese platter. Did the staff do you right? Bar staff is open and engaging, and more than happy to guide you to the right gin to suit your palate. Owner Alberto Pizzaro has some creative suggestions, too. Wrap it up: why are we coming here? This is a nice little bar that serves up the best G&T in town." - Naren Young
