We visited a couple of times while in Moosejaw. Great staff, great food (although scotch eggs are well done, everything was great.) Good beer. Good atmosphere.

Ok so I went back to Bobby's Place after 7 years. I come through Moosejaw for work. 7 years ago went and had lunch while passing through. I may have had the best Sheppard's pie ever there. I think the new owner Jim son of the previous owners is the one I met. Jim was amazing and told his family story about the pub. He recommended the fish and chips and let me tell you that they didn't disappoint. Probably the best fish and chips I've ever had beside right off the ocean side. If anyone is traveling and looking for a great lunch or dinner alot in Moosejaw you have to go to Bobby's Place. Best atmosphere and food in town

Bobby's place is so welcoming. The beer is fantastic and they have proper Guinness here with the double pour. The food is fantastic too, and they also have entertainment throughout the week, which is great fun. This is a must in Moose Jaw. I was gifted a free glass and entered in a competition to win free stuff. The staff are really kind and friendly... one of the best places to be! 5 stars *****

Great Scottish Pub! The fish and ships with coleslaw are really delicious. Often they have some kind of program. One time when I came to Moose Jaw they had a great life folk band. Don't know the name any more but it fits so great to this place.

Excellent in all regards. Place was exactly how we imagined it and exceeded our expectations. I had the Yorkshire Pudding, my wife, the fish and chips. Paralyzers were on special and we tried a couple varieties that were delicious! A standout appetizer is the Lager Chips. Absolutely delicious, especially after a long drive. The staff was courteous and attentive, the bartender was very warm and friendly. For our first trip to Moose Jaw, this was a great start!

We stopped by Moose Jaw for a night heading home to Winnipeg from Vancouver. My family was hungry and we wanted to find a place to eat near the hotel we were staying at. We decided to stop at this pub as it had great reviews, and the reviews were right. We were greeted with very friendly staff and was seated right away. Their menu had a lot of good looking choices. My wife chose the Shepard pie, I got the beef dip, my mother in law got the fish and chips and my daughter got the chicken fingers. All the food was great, but I’d say the Shepard pie was the best.

Bobby’s was outstanding! Definitely coming back here agin. Our server was just lovely, great portions of food, drinks were top notch, & the songs Ryan performed, before the band was to start, really made our day! Strongly recommend to everyone! Go Go Go

Staff is absolutely amazing, you will always feel at home. Food is the best in town! Come on a tuesday night for the full "small town come together" feel! Highly recommend to everyone!! Tip your staff ❣️

Great atmosphere fries and coleslaw were really good Fish was ok I would go again but probably try the meatloaf the waitress said it was a top seller

If you're not a local do not come here they serve all the locals first . Waited 45 minutes after we were finished to get our bill . I watched 2 different parties eat and leave before we got our bill

My go to bar and restaurant in Moose-jaw. Great food, great fish, great atmosphere. Familiar wait staff. All around very good!

The fish and beef are all hand cut and delicious. Beer in many stylises available-I like Alexander Keith's. Service is always terrific and I feel comfortable in the environment. Can't argue with the Celtic tones, the music reflects the heritage of the family built business and is enjoyable without being intrusive.

Good food, Service was fast and friendly. Very nice English pub atmosphere and menu. Would recommend to anyone. Chicken Wings , Burger and fries were all good

I have been twice on a Friday night for the fish and chips special. Fish and chips were good. Bartenders were not very attentive to the customers at the bar. I ordered a black and tan initially. The bartender poured the Harp, but then went over to the soda/ water gun and added something on top of the Harp, which was not Guinness. That left about 1/5 of the glass for Guinness. I have no clue what it was she added and when asked, I was told "That's how we make black and tan's here", then the bartender walked away. Still don't know what it was that she added. Second beer, I ordered a Blacksmith (Smithwick's and Guinness). 3/4 glass of Smithwick's, 1/4 glass of Guinness. I cut my losses and left after I paid the bill. Not worth going back for the remainder of my time while I am here for business.

Sat at the bar on a Friday. Trivia was going on and it was fish and chips night. Waited for about 10 minutes until one of the bartenders actually noticed I was there. Ordered a beer, then was told it would be 45+ minutes for food. Completely ignored until I was given food (beer glass was empty for at least 15 minutes). Waited another 5 minutes for salt/ pepper/ utensils after food was delivered. Hopefully other nights aren't this bad.

Friendly staff great ribs at a decent price. Feels the way a true Irish pub should feel.

Stopped here on our way to Jasper as we had heard that Moose Jaw was a cute town and it was! Saw this restaurant, and decided to take a break and get something to eat. This place was friendly, warm, and had a great menu with some different things available that you don't see everywhere. We started with the battered mushrooms which were truly delicious! First of all you don't see battered mushrooms very often, and when you do they either get mushy right away, or have too much or too little batter on them. I don't know how they managed it, but these were phenomenal! Crispy, hot, firm mushrooms, and it is a HUGE portion! I got some ranch dressing on the side and it was just delicious! For our entrees, my husband had the Irish Reuben and soup which he thoroughly enjoyed, and I wanted to try something different and got the Yorkshire pudding. I've never had it before so I can't speak to the authenticity of it, but it was terrific (but filling). Real mashed potatoes and steamed veggies with it, and covered in a rich brown gravy....Yum!! I also tried a Paralyzer (Banana) since it was recommended by the girl at the local bank when I went to get some money exchanged. She was very excited when I mentioned going to Bobbie's for lunch and she seemed a bit jealous to be honest :) This is a great place to check out if you are in the area!

My family and I were there yesterday and we were totally impressed with their service and food. We had fish & chips, hamburgers, and potatoe skins and I must say it was all delicious. The fish was so fresh tasting with a light batter and I was very good. And if your having a stay at the spa it is only a block away. We will definitely go back there again

Went here after visiting Tunnels of Moose Jaw. Food was fantastic and plentiful. My husband had the Brodie and I had the East Coast Poppers with the chips. Service was great. Would definitely return.

Bobby's is almost on-purpose hard-to-find in downtown Moose Jaw. No trendy micro brew pub this, but a funky, noisy hall with kids and families chowing down. There's a full bar with Irish/Brit stalwarts Guinness/Harp/Newcastle and others on tap. Service is fine. Prices ok and they use good ingredients. We popped in passing through. Wife had fish and chips (extra points white vinegar on the condiment basket at the table!) and I had massive, perfect Yorkshire pudding. Have a good appetite- you'll need it.

Reading some of the bad reviews of this place and they made me lol so I had to try it out; especially after talking to the locals. This place is your classic pub style bar; excellent service and atmosphere. One thing to point out is that the food is quite unique to what others do. I would come back everytime I come through. It's worth trying.

Stopped in due to the reviews on Yelp! I had the hot beef sandwich, and my wife had the fish and chips. Both meals did not disappoint. The signature fish and chips was terrific and worth the term signature. The hot beef was on panini bread that was perfect. The French fries were old style and very good. Service was the only reason for not 5 stars was the service. We seated ourselves, waited for nearly 8 minutes for a waitress, then felt rushed out after our meal. I will cut our server some slack as it was packed. All in all was a great meal and worth going back.

I am surprised to find myself choosing an Irish Pub as my favorite restaurant in Moose Jaw. I am not even a huge fan of this type of food, but as anyone who is a foodie transplanted from somewhere else to the Jaw can attest, this city has low food standards. Most of the food in town is straight from freezer to fryer and when I first moved here I was honestly perplexed as to how they stay in business. In contrast, Bobby's has simple, delicious, homemade food. It may not be my regular style of food but it is made with care, with good ingredients. I would normally only give it four stars but I am adding an extra star considering the locale. They even occasionally have a Saskatchewan microbrew on tap. I wish they would serve up Rebellion (or Nokomis, or whatever) regularly. Staff are my favorite kind of busy-friendly-efficient pub servers. They move people, beer and food with efficiency and a smile.

A solid 3 tonight. This place has potential but fell short. Food was halfway decent, prices good, atmosphere checks out but service fell short tonight. Had to wait and request silverware AFTER food was brought out, ran out of beverages, took too long to get the check after. Could be an off night but definitely not too pleased with my visit tonight.

Good food and nice service but a high price for what you get. I feel like it should have at least been below $10 for lunch. Anyway, it was nice and I wouldn't object to going back.

Been going here for years! Great food friendly staff. Love everything about this place. To all of Moose Jaw, during this time with everyone being locked in due to COVID-19 please try to help these local owners and order some food. Thank you Monica and Kevin for your support to local organizations over the years. Its time for us to support you in these trying times. Bobby's Place is my favourite restaurant in Moose Jaw. They've got excellent food and are the most reasonably priced of the top quality restaurants in town. I've had the fish and chips (most people's favourite), the Scotch eggs (if you don't know what this is, you are missing out), the shepherds' pie, and my personal favourite, the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding meal. The fries are delicious. They boast an enormous selection of Scotch and do regular Scotch tastings. I've never been able to go but I've heard they are great. They have bands regularly later in the evening and a great trivia night on Thursday's. I am not a regular, as I don't eat out often, but as a longtime resident of the community, I would suggest this to anyone.

A terrific local pub with delicious traditional Pub fare: Bangers & Mash, Shepherd's Pie,Fish & Chips etc. The story is also beautiful: Bobby, who immigrated from Scotland with his family always wanted to open a Scottish Pub. While he was never able to achieve his dream, his daughter, Monica (who was on hand when we stopped in for lunch) opened Bobby's in his honor. Love the story, love the food, love the place. And for the record, it's Scottish (not Irish). If you are passing through Moose Jaw, you must stop here.

Had the famous fish and chips....not that great, we've had better. Also had the steak sandwich and the beef was inedible. The slaw was good and the fries were excellent. Service was not great, no one came by to check on his our meal was. We had higher hopes for Bobby's.

This was our first meal on our trans-Canada family road trip. We arrived at about 5:00pm on Friday evening. The dining room wasn't full yet. We had the attention of our server Eric as soon as we sat ourselves. We ordered the house fries and cheesy bread for our boys off the appetizer menu. Us adults ordered the Shepard's Pie and the Fish and Chips with gravy. All four items came together just as we wanted. The food was fantastic. The order of house fries was so generous that the boys weren't able to finish it. The cheesy bread has my oldest son wanting to come back again before we leave town. My husband's Shepard Pie was something to savor. He absolutely loved it. My fish and chips was some of the best I've ever had. Their homemade tartar is light and crisp. The coleslaw is refreshing; crunchy, fresh, and not dripping in sauce. As we were finishing our meal the dining room was buzzing with diners. The staff was on their toes and all working together to serve each of the tables. The atmosphere was light and festive; likely a lot of fun later in the evening. We will try to make another stop before we leave town.

Crappy food, bad expensive beer, dumb waitresses, imperious manager.... 4 stars? Come on Moose Jaw...this place sucks If you are foolish enough to go here to waste your money make sure to dress light, they don't seem to like to use the a/c in the place.

This isn't a fancy place. It's a small town pub with some character. We stopped in for fish and chips and beer. The portion size were huge. The fish was amazing. I've never seen such a nice piece of cod. These guys still know how to cook a good French fry too. Prices were really reasonable as wel

Very nice waitress and bartendress. I want to give them five stars. I ordered the 1-lb burger, and asked if they could make it medium rare. They tried, they failed, and it took 40 minutes to come out. 20 minutes in, the bell rang for the order to be done, and I heard in the kitchen, "Is it done?", coming from the COOK. The food is solid 3 stars, fresh and made to order, and could have been 4 stars given the nice staff if it only came out 20 minutes sooner. I was the only one there on a weekday night, so it ought not have been a problem.

This place smells like a greasy fish restaurant. We asked for a menu and we're told that after 8pm no minors were allowed. Gave us a great excuse to get the heck outta there and find a clean restaurant up the street. I won't be going back.

Had spinach salad and deep fried mars bar for dessert. Yum! Ate on patio, could have done without staff smoking in the same area. Food and service was great.

Pricey, and the very second it gets even a little busy the service slows to a crawl. Atmosphere is pleasant normally but I witnessed an altercation where the owners allowed a woman at their table to start actually screaming at customers sitting close by. Was blown away cause I've never seen such a thing! Lol I won't be back cause $8 for a pint of warm Guinness is not worth it and I don't drink anywhere that doesn't respect the safety and dignity of its customers. Pretty despicable especially when the service and food are so mediocre:/ they should be treating patrons well, not scaring them away.

Best public house I've been to in ages. I got the fish & chips, my wife got the appetizer version of the same. Both were extremely delicious. Staff members were very friendly & live music was pretty good. Wish this restaurant were in my home town.

No idea why this place is rated so high. We ended up leaving hungry because it took well over 40 minutes before our appetizers were even rung through while other people after us were receiving their food. Will never return.

We have driven by Bobby's Place many times never thinking let's go in and try the food. On Saturday Feb 11, 2016 we decided to give them a try. WOW did we find a great place in Moose Jaw to eat at. Great atmosphere, excellent service and super food. We had the fish and chips and they were the best we have tasted. Chris looked after us and we landed up talking a lot to him with many questions about their place. From the street the front of the restaurant does not lure you in. You just have to try it because it is the best kept secret in Moose Jaw. We are from Regina and whenever we are in Moose Jaw we will eat there. Chris was a great host and told us that he was proud to work for Bobby's. All we can say is Great Food along with Great friendly people.
