Very friendly service & food was great. Highly recommend. Corned beef hash is a must try!

Popped into Bobs Diner for breakfast yesterday. Waitstaff were happy and accommodating. And food was AMAZING. BF ordered his meaty foods, and I ordered my vegetarian friendly veggie frittata with no onions. (And they remembered no onions!), sourdough toast (omg so good) and home fries (simple and delicious). The frittata was one of the best I’ve had. Coffee good, too. Wish they were local to me! Prices fair, too. Highly recommend!! :-)

I randomly swung by for breakfast on a long drive. It was great. Best diner coffee I think I’ve ever had, and the waitress told me it’s fresh ground for every pot. It shows. Then I had avocado toast which was fabulous. Not sure what kind of bread they used but it was different and delicious. Waitress was friendly also. I left in a good mood.

Lov this place. If you are ever in the Manchester Vt area this place has good meals and you won't leave hungry or broke. Manchester can be very expensive with all the upscale shops and dinning places but Bob's diner is a breath of fresh air. Older diner similar to a bygone era but the place is clean has booths counter space and tables outside in the summer. Staff was very attentive which i like. I had a Western for bfast that was loaded and came with homefries and bread. My wife had a hamburger with fries that she said was delicious. I am attaching the menu and some pics. Located on rt 30 on the outskirts of Manchester center. Enjoy!

Google
What a fantastic restaurant! The food was awesome - I ordered the turkey club sandwich with gluten-free bread, and it was fantastic! My daughter had a cheeseburger and she loved it! Our waitress, Hannah H, was friendly and attentive! I'll definitely be eating here again!

Google
Great diner in the perfect location for us as it's halfway between where we live and where our son moved to. We have been here before as it's also halfway to my brother's house. Food is great, service and atmosphere is fabulous. The hostess was very accommodating and friendly. The waitresses are very efficient and helpful. Love the look of this old-time diner. Highly recommend. They also have vegan options.

Google
The food was delicious Ali our waitress was very friendly super sweet & accommodating. She provided us with some recommendations as I do not eat eggs and I’m a vegetarian - ordered the sandwich with potatoes 🥔 impossible sausage and cheese, my wife ordered the eggs with smoked salmon and hollandaise she said it was divine! overall great service amazing food will definitely return when we visit Vermont again thank you so much for being so kind.

Google
Absolutely awful experience. The food was barely warm, as if it had been sitting out for hours. The service? Nonexistent. We had to flag someone down for napkins and refills, which should have been automatic. And what’s the deal with giving us paper cups while everyone else had proper glasses? It was insulting and made us feel like second-class customers. The waitress was downright miserable—her attitude screamed, "I don’t care about this job or you." It was clear she hated being there, and her sour demeanor ruined any chance of enjoying the meal. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else. This place is a joke.

Yelp
Skillet. Fuel. Affordable. Pleasant people. Bob's Diner makes ya laugh and cry at the same time. Powerful sustenance for the hardcore skier.

Yelp
Do yourselves a favor and skip Bob's Diner entirely. Drive the extra few minutes to a McDonald's -- you'll get better service, hotter food, and avoid the appallingly rude and dismissive treatment that taints this place. We were a large group with six of being minorities, and the experience felt blatantly discriminatory from the start. While other tables were provided proper table settings -- silverware, regular cups, and napkins -- we were singled out and given paper cups and no napkins until one of our drinks spilled. The waitress who took our order was openly curt and dismissive, making us hesitant to ask for simple accommodations like: more coffee, water, side dishes that were forgotten, etc. Our bad experience didn't stop there. Parties who arrived after us received their meals first, while we waited over an hour for our food. When it finally came out, only two plates were hot, but the rest were room temperature. For the price they charge, you'd expect at least the basics of quality and courtesy. If you value decent food, reasonable service, or being treated like a human being, go somewhere -- anywhere -- else.

Yelp
Cute place, old school style diner, friendly staff. Food came out quickly. Server never came back to check on us, which was fine as it was busy, but I ordered soup and never got it. Wasn't able to tell her because she never came to check on us. Food was really good though. You do get charged extra for real maple syrup when ordering pancakes.

Yelp
What a remarkable experience!! Great Service Terrific food Spotless classic Diner environment I very much enjoyed my visit here on my trip back to the Mountain West * shout out to my server, for microwaving* my home made dog food which I made for my pups * (Forgot to thaw, duh)

Yelp
Came with a party of 7. First, we did not receive any napkins and were told to arrange our own cutlery. Then, we waited half an hour for our food which arrived cold. Our server forgot two of our side dishes. Once we began eating, our server also did not know once ask us how the food was. She also did not check up on our drinks. We did not receive refills unless we asked, and even when we asked, she was either slow or forgot us altogether. The servers do not look happy, and their unhappiness is reflected in their service. I will not be coming back.

Yelp
Good people and good food. Great pre ski breakfast. I had the pancakes with kept me going all day on the slopes

Amanda W.

Yelp
We definitely make the pilgrimage up to Manchester for Bob's breakfast! Still hands down one of the best hash and eggs I have ever had! We exclusively eat at Bobs whenever we are in Manchester and it's the only time I will eat hash and eggs. I refuse to eat this dish anywhere else! The service is also amazing. The servers remember you and will give you what you want without asking! They even know I take hot water and lemon in the mornings. Really amazing spot. Bobs is the best!

Lori C.

Yelp
This is an old school diner off the main route in Manchester. It took a while to place our order but was a reasonable time to get the food. I got the Carol's club substituted with wheat bread and onion rings and this meal hit the spot for me. The only downside is their hours it's not 24/7 but still worth the effort to try!

Yelp
I'm a New Yorker and we love coming to VT every 4th of July. I came here w my family after 4 wonderful days of good food and awesome people, and this was by far one of the rudest staff I've ever encountered, including NY restaurants. We walked in and stood by the door for a good 5 min before we were acknowledged. We were told to wait while they "cleaned" (picked up plates and passed a dry napkin across ) a booth next to us. A couple quickly took the booth. Ooook. Let's be nice, we're on vacation. So then we watch them "clean" 2 others booths. I mention we are happy to take whichever one is available first. The woman, without looking at me, just walks past and says "sit wherever you want, I don't care". If we weren't w 2 littles, we would have walked out sooner, but they were hungry and we were driving home. I recommend you drive past this place as it will dampen your VT experience.

Yelp
Ate at the counter as it was packed. Food was very good as was the friendly service. Would like the coffee to have been a bit stronger but that's just me. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast.

Yelp
Best diner and diner food we ever had. The BLT and fish and chips were fantastic. There was no skimping on anything in the BLT and everything was fresh and delicious. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The staff was so nice and helpful. Shout out to Ali for her fantastic service.

Yelp
It was a chilly, wet morning. We faced 6 more hours driving home. We were hungry. The parking lot was muddy. Inside was warm and dry. And loud, like a good diner should be. The kitchen was buzzing. One of us ordered something not on the menu, but the kitchen was able to do it easily. Another had eggs Benedict-- not sure that's what I'd order at a diner, but it's what she wanted. Another had a stack of pancakes. I had the Jean Green (or is it Green Jean?) Skillet and couldn't quite finish it. The coffee cups stayed filled. It felt a little pricey, but workers need to live. And we left a generous tip. Getting back in the car, I wasn't just not hungry. I was happy. The next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will eat there by design.

Melanie M.

Yelp
Awesome service. Ally was very attentive. Diner style and wonderful food! Best eggs Benedict I've had in a long time.

Hilary M.

Yelp
The epitome of a great diner! Grab a chilled glass beer and enjoy this food coma you're about to enter. To start.... We split the Chili. It was truly INSANE!!! We got the "works". So so so good!!! Whole beans, whole avocado, good amount of sour cream, great meat. Next to being made by your grandmother, this is top notch on a "chili" day (pun intended ) ooey-gooey goodness! They serve alcohol too which made our mountain lunch fabulous with a local beer! Not spicy - which was great for me! For our lunch I got the avocado toast with sunny side egg & hollandaise sauce, spinach & tomato. My husband got the Beefalo burger with cheese and bacon. Brenda was fabulous!! ALL OF THE SERVERS ARE SO SO FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE!! it's Christmas eve and I bet they want to be home but we're truly top notch! 10/10 would recommend.

Kathy M.

Yelp
Diner grease smell & sticky floors. Sign post wait for hostess to be seat yet waitress grabbed us & put in awkward 2 top. We requested one of 4 small Both available. Waitress said she got all the tables. We ordered our food . Next table seated by hostess was in one of 4 available booths. We asked nicely again. Waitress said no but I'll get you another waitress. We left. With out getting our food ...............

Kathleen K.

Yelp
Great location coming out of Merck forest overnight in rustic cabin with a great stove that burned firewood provided. Great breakfast.

Lynn J.

Yelp
Fast, good ...bring the pooch. We had the Farmer Bob skillet and the hash browns. Dog water at each outdoor table. Bob comes around to say "Hi."

Beth R.

Yelp
We arrived right before they were wrapping up to close. My husband still wanted breakfast. He ate a skillet breakfast which he said was excellent. I ordered the vegan burrito- it was also excellent- hot, packed with flavor and the wrap was crisped up on the griddle! I was very impressed watching "everyone" which had their tasks to close, and their clean up was top notch. Look forward to our next visit! Highly recommend!

Kurt W.

Yelp
Fast and efficient the blueberry pancakes were absolutely delicious. The service was fast, courteous, and efficient.

Tim L.

Yelp
The chef was eating directly from grill making contact with his mouth, the proceeded to cook meals.

Diana K.

Yelp
We loved, Loved, LOVED this place!! Although we arrived shortly before closing time, we were graciously greeted and assured that our visit was absolutely appreciated! We sat outside, the food was wonderful, prices were reasonable, and the staff was incredibly efficient, enthusiastic and pleasant. We finished our meal, then the owner thanked us for coming and took pictures of us with our motorcycles in front of the building!!

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
Food is amazing and service is helpful and friendly. Be sure to be hungry cause it a big filling breakfast.

Marie F.

Yelp
It's so refreshing to have some hot delicious diner food compared to the overpriced and bland food options from the Stratton Mountain village. Like a classic diner, get your coffee that comes with free hot refills. The green jean skillet tastes delicious with over easy eggs topped with hot sauce with a side order of ham. It was enough to fill me up with left overs. The pancakes and waffles are extra special if you like Vermont maple syrup (extra $2 charge) otherwise they are very much classic breakfast food. French toast tasted how it should. The waitress was very friendly as well as this nice elderly gentleman who came around ensuring we got refills on our coffee so we never had an empty cup even though they had a full house. Coming back again!

Gaz H.

Yelp
Diner 2.0. Looks like a diner, but has thoughtful updates that makes it much more. Foods were way above average. Bob's skillet. Yes. Enthusiastic and personable high school seniors ferry fresh eggs and enormous pancakes to your table with minimal delay (no delay is unusual in Vermont). Cool but not too cool music plays in the background. The coffee is pretty good. The look of the place has been updated; it doesn't trade on 1950s diner nostalgia; it just want to be an awesome place to grab breakfast. And succeeds.

Chris B.

Yelp
Classic diner food in a classic diner. Omelets, French toast, pancakes. Diner coffee. You get what you pay for. Service was great. We wanted to go there last Tuesday as well but they were closed even though their sign said they would be open. A little disappointing, but stuff happens, so I understand.

Kazi T.

Yelp
This is my favorite diner ever! The staff here is so friendly and the food and vibes are great. My friends and I have stopped by this diner every time on our way back home from Vermont. This is a busy diner so expect a short wait for Sunday brunch. I will definitely be stopping by if I'm ever in town again!

Katrina C.

Yelp
Great food sweet people and it really sums up the vibe of this beautiful state!! The Pork Roll Sandwich is a must!

Avril S.

Yelp
They accommodated our party of 10 with no prior booking extremely well. The food choices were great. It was all delicious and staff were friendly despite it being very busy.

Nikki S.

Yelp
Service was fast until they took forever to check us out. Otherwise we were seated fast. Iced coffee was good, and our food was awesome. My boyfriend and I got the skillets. Absolutely phenomenal!!!

Marla F.

Yelp
Went here with my mom and got the stuffed french toast. It came out quickly and it was delicious! The place had a very classic diner feel, complete with friendly servers and barstools by the counter. It was very quiet for lunch time, but this is probably not a busy week because of all the local flooding. Definitely a good brunch spot if you're driving through the area.

Thomas R.

Yelp
Excellent Diner a must for breakfast a local Manchester icon. Great customer service.

Ri C.

Yelp
Not clean.. Grease pit diner.. Place is run down and filthy. Had a Taylor Ham and Cheese sandwich today. Only 2 thin slices of TH. And home fries. 11 bucks for that. A real grease pit.

Anita R.

Yelp
I couldn't wait to go to Bob's Diner and I was not disappointed! It's my new favorite restaurant! Chili was fantastic as was the grilled turkey Reuben! But the sweet potato pie was out of this world! I could have eaten the whole pie!! Great service too!!! You will not be disappointed!

Tom H.

Yelp
Good go to breakfast spot had the corned beef hash recently was really tasty! Staff is nice good stuff

Jenna T.

Yelp
Loved the corned beef hash. Staff members were delightful. I love that it actually looks like an old diner.

Darin K.

Yelp
Good homemade dinner food and will help you if you request gluten free! We enjoyed our meal and would go back!

Kerin M.

Yelp
Would give this diner zero stars, if I could. In 2023, to still be blatantly racist is so old and tired. Came to this diner with two friends, and was sat at a table. We watched a waitress pass our table and not acknowledge us. Knowing it's better to leave when we are not wanted, we got up and left. As we were walking out, the waitress looked at us and smiled, and said, "thank you." How disgusting. You and your staff should be ashamed of yourselves.

Susan C.

Yelp
We ate at Bob's Diner this past Tuesday for brunch. The food was delicious. They set up nice picnic tables right outside the front door. Our waitress was Bob's daughter and was very helpful with places to go hike. Our only disappointment was we tried to go back Wednesday morning for breakfast and they are closed on Wednesday's. Bob's is a definite go to!!

Lindsey W.

Yelp
A typical but charming VT diner. I really enjoyed my blueberry pancakes with real VT maple syrup. I was craving pancakes and this definitely beat the craving.

Bruce B.

Yelp
Typical retro 50s diner that is a shining presence in Manchester. Once inside we were greeted by a friendly host who showed us to our table. Our waitress was fantastic and made sure we all had what we wanted. The menu was not the typical plastic encyclopedia of food but offered s good variety of items. My BLT was great and the fries were crisp and hot. My family had pancakes with chocolate chips and waffles all with real Vermont Maple syrup. We will be back next time in the Manchester area.

Rosemary W.

Yelp
High quality food, all the diner favorites plus vegan / vegetarian options. Very nice staff. Great pick!

Adam L.

Yelp
The food was delicious. You can't go wrong getting 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 sausages for 10 bucks. I got chocolate chip pancakes so it was a little pricier but totally worth it. Some of the best pancakes I've had. My girlfriend got the southwest skillet which was incredible. There's a decent amount of restaurants that have breakfast skillets, but this one was above the rest; the ham and peppers were cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were thinly sliced and perfect. The food did take a little while which is strange for a diner, but they probably take a little more time to make everything from scratch or something because it's soooo delicious. I'm coming back to Manchester for some breakfast at Bobs!!!!

Matthew L.

Yelp
I had the corn beef and eggs with a side of toast. Was very good. Had a side of bacon that was OK but a little over done and had probably been cooked about an hour earlier. My wife had a take on eggs Benedict and unfortunately the english muffin was literally hard as a rock. Nice staff, very busy but served quickly. Sat outside, which was nice.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
Bob's was exactly what we needed before traveling home after a weekend stay at killington. Great service, great food and affordable prices. Bobs made us feel at home and even got out group of 9 sat close together with no reservation on a busy morning with little wait. Hope to go back soon when we are on the area

Tina-Marie F.

Yelp
Ummmm yes. Everything about this place is great. It has a true small-town diner feel. The staff are friendly and upbeat, often greeting customers they know by name and checking in on how they're doing. As someone not from this town, I still felt cared for and included. The food is great diner food - eggs, pancakes, etc. I went with the Green Jeans Skillet and asked for extra veggies - they did this with no problem and no extra charge, which I wasn't expecting. The prices are extremely reasonable. I would come here every morning if I could, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Nita M.

Yelp
Oooo if you don't know about Bob's ... what the heck are you waiting for?! Delicious food. Delightful staff. Great value and never disappoints! Get the local beefalo burger. The corned beef hash is amazing! Enjoy!

Bill K.

Yelp
The quintessential diner. Everything is good. Yeah, it's sometimes tempts you with dishes that look like a heart attack waiting to happen - but you'll go with a smile on your face. Go for it ...

Tim W.

Yelp
Great food, large portions, good service, reasonable prices. It's where the locals eat (which speaks volumes). Loved it!

Jean M.

Yelp
Outstanding- everything a diner should be- friendly -great food and great service . Best corned beef hash I've ever had --A must do when I'm that area . Waitresses were all helpful and friendly
