As of today, you've lost a loyal return customer. I was shopping there today and overheard your bald male employee discussing politics with another customer. That's only the beginning.
I'm not sure what changed the topic, but after my husband and I, both masked, entered the store, they quickly turned to the topic of wearing masks. You can imagine my surprise when I heard your employee deriding people who choose to wear masks, as I was gathering things to buy. Looking around, I saw that no employees, nor other customers, were wearing masks. Hearing comments like "no one wears them in Skowhegan", and "people are just breathing air, like they're meant to" and "wow, what's going on in Dover then?" as soon as we entered, made me rethink my desire to purchase your overpriced products. So I put them back and left your store.
I've always enjoyed shopping here, and I make a point to on each of my multiple visits to Dover-Foxcroft, because I'd rather shop at local businesses than at chain stores, even though your prices are not competitive in the least. After listening to this rhetoric for several minutes, I decided I must not be the "right kind" of customer for you. Obviously, my money isn't green enough and you must not need the business when you so blatantly look down on me and others like me, who are actually just trying to keep *you* safe.
When I say you've lost me as a customer, you need to understand you just lost a LOT of money. I won't be back, and I won't be referring people to your store any longer.
