⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top-tier steakhouse experience—worth every bite. Had the Tomahawk Ribeye, smashed potatoes, glazed carrot, and an Old Fashioned—everything was flawless. The steak was cooked perfectly with that signature crust and depth of flavor that only comes from a true steakhouse. The Old Fashioned paired with everything perfectly, added the perfect citrus notes the entire evening. Huge shoutout to Russell, my server. He was spot-on with recommendations the entire night—especially the bread pudding. That dessert was phenomenal… truly out of this world. Stupidly good. Excellent service, relaxed atmosphere, and food that absolutely delivers. If you’re in San Antonio and want a real steakhouse experience, this is the place.

My wife and I ate here last night. For an appetizer, we had the calamari. My wife got crab cakes with Brussel sprouts. I got the 22 oz bone in ribeye with a baked potato. The calamari was very good. Cooked and seasoned well. The cocktail sauce was made well also. The crab cakes were delicious. I don't like Brussel sprouts but my wife said they were amazing. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and was seasoned well. Both dishes came with a carrot that was amazing. It tasted like Christmas to me. The service was awesome. My wife also had 2 margaritas and she said they were very good. All in all, we had a great dinner at Bob's last night. We will be back. I want to try the duck and then the lamb.

In town for Chronic Liver Disease Foundation 5th Annual Conference. My friend Bob and were looking for a good steak dinner. One of the attendees recommended Bobs Steak and Chop House. Our server was Samantha and she was fantastic. Our filet were spectacular, the sides were as well. The peanut butter brownie sundae was as they say “Everything is Bigger in Texas” was huge. Absolutely fantastic for my son's birthday dinner. Russell, our server was very attentive and answered any questions we had His suggestions were very helpful. All three of our steaks melted in our mouths. And we will definitely be coming back. Great service Russell

This truly was our first time to Bob's in a couple of years. It was well worth the visit. It was a short notice, date so to speak, visit to Bob's after work for both myself call my wife. Service was immediate with drink orders and bread provided both of which were outstanding. My wife had a margarita in which those small was really excellent. We started with the lollipop lamb chops as an appetizer. Be advised there are five of them and frankly that was enough to be actually an entree. They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Next what's the chopped salad which we split. It was nicely chilled and with just the right amount of vinaigrette, very tasty. We both had Ribeyes for our main course, with mind being the 22 oz bone-in ribeye. Ordered medium, they came out perfectly and more importantly the meat was melt in your mouth tender. Really, the best steak we've had at a steakhouse in San Antonio ever. The accoutrements for the steak was a loaded baked potato for my wife have the pan fried potatoes with pepper gravy for me. Bob's signature glazed carrot was also available. Our only other side dish was brussel sprouts which were also quite good. No dessert tonight because we were quite full. Now, I want you to understand that Bob's is not a cheap place to dine. The total cost for the meal including tip was about $340. Was it worth it? Well, for a weekday dinner out, I would say no, but for a night out, special night out, every three or four months, yes. The food and service and atmosphere were just that good. Kudos to Bob's, you really got it right. Thank you.

We have been coming here for years. This was my dad's favorite place when he was still around. Had my birthday celebration here and the food is amazing. Top tier Prime Steakhouse with an awesome drink menu. Thanks again for the signed Birthday card from the entire staff!

A week ago, my husband made reservations at J. Alexander’s for our 32nd wedding anniversary, because we had a $100 gift card and because I love their carrot cake. When we got there, neither the hostess nor the waiter even acknowledged our anniversary. To make matters worse, they recently redid their entire menu, which now excluded my favorite ribeye steak. The only ribeye steak they now offered was marinated in brown sugar and ginger for 48 hours. It was also served with a pineapple compote. This is death for a diabetic like me. When we spoke to the manager about the limited menu, he didn’t care. In fact, he was downright rude. Rather than settle, we left. We got into our car, and drove directly across the street. We walked straight into to Bob’s Steak and Chop House on a busy Thursday night, without any reservations or hope of salvaging the night. My husband quietly explained our situation to a manager named Marcus Mejia, and he immediately went into action. He not only understood, and he made us feel welcome. He sat us at the perfect table, gave us the nicest waitress (named Rebekah), and the best complimentary dessert. He even gave us a “happy anniversary” card signed by all the staff. Mr. Mejia made beauty out of ashes. He made us feel special. What started off as a terrible anniversary dinner, turned into a memorable one. Thank you, Bob’s Steak and Chop House. This restaurant has a fancy yet cozy vibe. The service is excellent. The servers are constantly checking in on their customers. The filet mignon was tender & delicious. The carrot is absolutely exquisite with cinnamon herb flavors. Love this place!

I just finished my birthday dinner here. Adrian was our waiter, and he did a FANTASTIC job! Everyone made sure to tell me happy birthday, and they even gave me a happy birthday card! You can tell the staff works very well together and is very professional. The food was of course delicious, and the ambiance was great. I HIGHLY recommend visiting for great food and a great time!!!!

Bibs is a classy, romantic and relaxing place to unwind. Bo loud music here. Just a relaxing bar with a generous pour. With an impressive variety of whiskey and bourbon, you're sure to find something you love. The steaks are outstanding! Not to mention the famous carrot at Bobs! The portions are not small, so bring your appetite! Highly recommend.

This was my first time here and the food was amazing! My server Adrian was exceptional! I was extremely satisfied with his service! The ambiance is dim, quiet, great date night location! I will most definitely be back!

The steak had good flavor but was so tough I almost had to request a welder's torch to cut it. While the others order ribeyes they came out paper thin and and less tasty. Dont order the smashed potato unless you are looking for mashed potatoes. And by all means stay away from the peppered potato gravy unless all you want to taste is pepper. Service was marginal and we had to ask multiple times for our drinks to be refilled. Not to mention the gutter mouth woman in the next table over dropping F Bombs every other word. "Hey trash mouth, I'm with my family, not here to listen to you... shut up". Over all a disappointing experience considering the amount of money spent. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, you'll be better off for it.

I sat at the bar and had a drink and an appetizer. The bartenders were great . Service was excellent. I've never been before and very impressed!! I had the scallops , they were recommended and they were excellent.

It was super yummy, tons of attention to detail, and overall just a great service and dining experience.

If you like the flavors of an east coast steak house, this is the place.. the ambiance is classy and attire is dressy.. this place is romantic for dates and swanky for business meetings. We love the food and the service is amazing.

Not impressed at all. For the price it was disappointing. The steak was way too fatty to be enjoyed. The server swore that Bobs is the best steak house in San Antonio. The service was not remarkable either. Did not meet my expectations... I was looking forward to a melt in your mouth, flavorful umami moment. Disappointing! Went for Mother day was not the special experience we wanted. Save your $$$

I had never heard of this place until recently, and I finally got a chance to go check it out! It's quite dark inside, but upscale. Excellent menu. The wines that I tried were really nice quality. The salad I had (mixed salad) was perfect. I ordered the duck and it was good. I wish I'd gotten the sauce on the side, because it comes smothered in the sauce. But it was still good! We got the berries & whip cream for a light dessert & loved it. Our server James was wonderful & so helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. I would love to go back & try their lamb or steak sometime next!- Cheers from The Street Angel!

This is the nicest steak house I have ever been too. There is free valet, and you get a waiter who only has one or two tables so you get great service. It is a bit slash but your eyes adjust. It's is quite expensive so be ready to pay at least $150 for a meal for 2. Great place for a special occasion!

This place has amazing food! Everything was delicious. The warm bread with delish butter to the duck I got. That duck was so juicy and amazing. I got brussels sprouts with it, hmmmm so good! Only thing I didn't enjoy was def the carrot. Other folks got the steaks and everyone loved it. Desserts, gotta save room for it. amazing! Cheesecake wasn't too heavy and came with ice cream, voila! Missing a star for how loud it can get and how dark it is inside. Waiters were great! I'll be back next time!

The moment we got in our previous waiter is already waiting for us. All the food is delicious! The kids meal is also huge serving. My daughters loves eating here. Its on the pricey side but everything is worth it.

This was our first time at Bob's steak and chop house. We are from Austin and have several Bob's there, but have never been. We decided to go in San Antonio for Valentine's Day, and really enjoyed our experience. When we were first greeted at the hostess stand, they immediately sat us down and gave me a rose for the special occasion. Our waitress was fantastic. It was pretty much all couples in the restaurant. They gave us complementary bread and butter to start. We ordered the Caesar salad split, which was huge! Definitely able to share a salad between two people. And it was very good. And then we weren't too hungry, so we just ended up getting a fillet with a couple sides. We got the mac & cheese and the baked potato your steak came with your choice of potato and a giant Carrot, the carrot was a little weird, I would probably do a different type of vegetable. Everything is very good, very reasonable prices. Overall enjoyed our experience here. Pros: service & steakhouse prices Cons: none

First appearance, drove in at 7pm for reservations at 7 for family birthday of 7ppl. Parking lot basically empty, weired at 7pm on Thursday. Our other party was there and seated. Service was very good from two waiters. Restaurant was not busy at the time and other areas except for bar was empty. Waiters were attentive and friendly. Since our first time here, they explained the meat, how top of the line it was. Get to this later. Drinks were good and large choice if wines. We ended having 3 bottles for the table. One person who had been here before and the one who paid for our dinner, chose the fried lobster. Unusual but it was very good and a nice lobster presentation. Entrees and salads were ordered. Good timing on the salads. When served our Entrees, I had their special for $69 two 4oz medallions and a crab cake. The entree came with a single carrot stick, I think it had butter and brown sugar, I can't recall what waiter said. It also came with a choice of potato. I had baked loaded. Wife had 9oz filet mignon with same sides. Back to the meats, we both had medium rare. When served the meat was barely warm as well as the sides. When meat is rare, hard to cut, knife doesn't cut like butter. When hot it does. My wife and I looked at each other and said to each other, cold, both meat and baked potatoes. We didn't want to make a scene as we were not paying otherwise we would have. She ate half of meat and potatoe as I ate one medallion and the cold crab cake. Figured I could reheat the meat but not the fish. I didn't ask the others nor did we tell the waiter. We figured it was my brother's birthday and for them to retire our meals would take some time. So we really didn't get to taste how good this meat was to be as waiter advertised. Disappointed! The desserts, were good. The coffee with bailys and Kahlua were good. Like I said, restaurant was not at all busy so why was our dinner cold? Meats were cooked correctly just cold. I mean you pay $52 on up for a steak, compared to a Perry's, Flemings, this was a disappointment. Had always wanted to try this restaurant. Maybe slow because of construction but this should not affect the food. Unless people have had similar experience. I don't know. I form my own opinion after food , service is personally experienced. For the prices, get better in the kitchen to make sure food is hot. I put butter on top of steak to test heat, nothing.

Definitely worth going to this restaurant! I loved the atmosphere and the employees are very hospitable and kind. I also really liked how though the restaurant was "fancy", your attire doesn't need to be suit and tie. Food was a 11/10 for sure! I didn't want a lot of food so I got the lamb lollipops (which is usually an appetizer, but it's 8 oz of lamb based on what the waiter said) and the lamb was perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was tender and easy to chew, no heavy taste like some other places I've had. The macaroni and cheese was phenomenal. I am huge Mac n cheese fan and have been since I was a child so finding a Mac n cheese that I actually like isn't as easy as you would think. I was very pleased with the flavor and gooey cheese melted on my tongue and crunch of the broiled and crumb top was delicious. My fiancé got a steak with the bone (I think it was a ribeye option but I honestly cannot remember) and whilst I cannot speak to the steak because I personally do not like steak, he loved it and kept talking about it after we left.

Horrible food!!! This place is a joke. The steak was spoiled. Fried calamari is over fried. Vegetable is low quality. Crab cake, very few actual crab, full of fillers. Very limited selection of food. Overpriced. Spare yourself by not going.

Always top quality food and service. This is my favorite steakhouse in town! There's a definite classy feel, and the wait staff here is A++ in addition to the plating and quality of food. I'm sad that they no longer have pickles but the carrot and potatoes are always on point. My Ribeye was so tender, and my dessert was a great touch after my meal.

We are huge Dallas Bob's fans and looked forward to introducing our family to the restaurant on a recent trip to San Antonio. Unfortunately, this location is nowhere near as good as the Dallas locations we've been to. For starters, they don't bring you out the pickled accoutrement jar with your bread service here. They also don't have the French onion soup, and the atmosphere is quiet and a bit stiff. Second, all of our baked potatoes came out underdone and hard. They were so uncooked that the cheese on top didn't melt. The Dallas locations have a cute potato service where you create your own toppings where as here it's just pre dumped on your potato. Lastly, two of our guests ordered their filets medium. One came out perfectly medium while the other was rare. They sent their steak back twice and it still was never to medium by the end of our meal. The staff was incredibly nice and apologetic and did take the steak off our tab, but to be a steakhouse and struggle this much to cook things to temperature is a huge no no.

They love is really nice , servers are very informative and treat you special. Noise level is low even seeing people having a good time . Drinks were great, I'm an old fashioned drinker and they're on point. The only issue we had was our steaks were not flavorful. I took my husband for his bday and unfortunately I know my steaks and was bummed out from all the hype we hear. Some friends have mentioned it's a hit and miss, but I would never spend $350 on a hit and miss restaurant. My steaks are better at salt grass mostly every time . Don't waste you're money! The only thing memorable was the celebration, service and drinks! Ohhhh and that carrot could've been cooked a little longer , we needed a steak knife to just cut it.

My husband and I came here for our 24th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The staff gave us a signed anniversary card with rose petals on our table along with two glasses of champagne. Mia, our waitress, was very friendly and attentive. The bread was flaky and fresh. We split the large ribeye and it was amazing! The best we've ever had. I love that this place is not pretentious. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately. We would definitely return when we are in San Antonio!

SO disappointed in our visit to Bob's. A group of six of us went for dinner. Service was SLOW, and the food was uneven. While the steaks were uniformly good, the salmon was so tough and dry it had to be sent back. It appeared to have sat under warming lights for ages waiting for delivery. The salmon meal came without the sweet potato, because those would take another 10 minutes. What? By the time they finally arrived with the fresh salmon, the rest of the diners were through with their dinners. Management was aware of the problem, but had to be asked to remove the charges for the meal that the diner didn't eat. Just a really poor experience from what had been a favorite restaurant.

One of the best steakhouses I've been to. Staff all around were kind, polite, and paid special attention to it being our 5 year anniversary. Adrian was our server and made amazing food recommendations. GET THE FRIED LOBSTER y'all... you will not regret it!!! The steak itself was delicious and so were the sides. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Two thumbs way way up.

I have passed this unassuming, non-descript building many times over the years on my way to Maggianos, BJ's, Lupe Tortilla, or 54th Street Grill. I finally stopped by on Tuesday night and discovered for myself this gem. I waited way too long. From the moment we walked in, actually from the moment the valet opened and held the door open, I knew an event was about to unfold. Inside, two smartly dressed managers, with an air of elegant hospitality had a striking effect you don't find at most restaurants. We were asked of we preferred a booth or table and taken to a booth where the manager Steve provided us menus while a server removed the extra tableware from our booth. With each gesture, the experience was elevated. Hector was our server, he anticipated our every need, attentive without obtruding. He kept our glasses full and cleared the table of unused dishes to make room for what's next. The employees work very well as a team, completely focused on the guest experience, no less than five employees came to the table during the evening to provide refills or bring plates. The food was good too. I had the 9 oz filet mignon with smashed potatoes. We also tried the mac n cheese and sauteed nushrooms. The tequila cocktails were not the best I've had, let's say they were adequate. Next time I will switch it up to explore the menu. I loved the blue cheese salad with pecans!

I recently visited the restaurant on Friday for a graduation dinner. I will start with the good, the food was on point, steak cooked perfectly, carrots were amazing and dessert was tasty and great ambiance. The real issue we had here was the lack of customer service. The Manager on duty, let's start there, we ended up needing 2 more chairs (party was a bit bigger) we thought no problem we will just have another table added (in the private dining room that had plenty of room that we were already in). When we approached the manager, based on his demeanor and reaction you would have thought we were asking him to scrub a toilet. Instead of reacting accommodating, he shrugged, made a face and acted like it was a bother. I was highly disappointed to receive this type of reaction when you know your tab will be well over 5K for over 30 ppl. It was all making sense as the behavior from the server was just as rude as the Manager so it must be ACCEPTABLE behavior the manager is allowing to happen here. We eventually were able to get the table added but it was only after explaining several times we didn't want the chairs just added as it would be too tight, we wanted to feel comfortable and not squished together. Throughout the dinner it felt rushed, the service was sub-par. After we finished dinner, our host asked the server if we could order 1 more round of drinks and the server rudely said "No, your tab is already closed out" so our host responded with "can you open another one so we can order" and the server said "No, we close at 10" our host let the sever know he comes here often and has never been asked to leave and he has stayed there to 11 at times, at this point the server just walked away. When walking out of the restaurant I was shocked to see there were still people at the bar dining and a few straggling tables so not sure why you wouldn't want more money for the night unless you already hit your sales goal and or were being discriminative. For the price you pay, the service is not worth it, go somewhere else.**UPDATE*** I emailed the manager the same day I posted this review and no one has attempted to reach out. Sad for the amount of money that was spent.

Amazing Blood Orange Cosmo by Loren...then this dinner came out of Crab Crusted Halibut. OMG best ever! So worth coming and sitting at the Bar with Loren! Great dinner and service.

We had a wonderful dinner at the bar recently! We wanted to try a couple appetizers but didn't want to be too full for dinner so we decided to have a half order of onion rings to start. They were amazing- very large and the onions themselves were sweet. For our entree, we shared a filet mignon with fried potatoes and pan gravy. Everything was heavenly. The steak was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The pan fried potatoes with gravy were delicious and a nice surprise to see on the menu. It made the meal feel more homemade and less pretentious in such an upscale environment. The service we received from the bartenders was top notch! They were friendly, knowledgeable and had great recommendations. My only issue to note was the wine list. Overall, they have an excellent selection. However, several wines were priced about 30% higher than at other similar restaurants we frequent. A particular bottle we enjoy often is listed at $150-$160 at other restaurants and was on the menu for around $200 here. The food was very reasonably priced for the quality and amount you receive so I was a little surprised to see such a big price jump for the wines. Obviously, the issue isn't one that would make me take off a star but it's something worth noting. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Bob's food is delicious. Ordering an appetizer with an entrée and I was stuffed. The desserts are very good. Also the restaurant is a little fancy but not black tie. It's a great place to take a date and the ambience is the romantic. I have visited Bob's several times and do not have anything negative to say.

BOBS!! First things first. Their atmosphere is simply amazing, its your fine dining chophouse experience to a T. Low Lighting, the intimate booth seating, party rooms, gorgeous bar that is far enough away from the regular dining room where the noise wont disturb your dining experience. Food! What we all come to yelp for! Haha. So, what can I say? Their steak is aged to perfection but then cooked to the same standards..perfectly. I got the filet and it was just melt in your mouth, seasoned well too. Now, I was a little off put by this gigantic glazed carrot but tried it anyway, it was fabulous! Sweet and not soggy, went perfectly with the skillet potatoes and filet. The skillet potatoes sauce is something I WILL be trying to figure out how to recreate lol My first time there I was in the main dining room in a booth - HIGHLY recommend. Had a Dirty Bob Martini and fell LOVE with it. Second time there I sat at the bar, just wanted an appetizer and dessert. Lorne at the bar was amazing! He was attentive and informative! He tried to warn me about the massive brownie and how we only needed one, welp we didn't listen but it was ok, we had dessert for a few days The Nueske Bacon app...A MUST TRY! Yeah, I know, bacon as an appetizer? Just do it and thank me later! All the staff are extremely professional with flawless service. Bobs is a new favorite of mine and I WILL become a regular. I'm kicking myself that it took me so long to try this place out!

The Good: Great steak; I go to Bob's in Nashville frequently so was glad to find one in San Antonio; didn't disappoint. The fried lobster appetizer was incredible; my guests were still raving about it the next morning!!! The Bad: nothing; you need to go. Commentary: I took a part of 8; first time at a Bobs for four of the eight. Left a great impression .

14oz Prime New York Strip and Prime Filet Mignon. Both were delicious! My NY strip came out a little more well done so I let our server know. He gladly and politely told the manager and they fired up another for me. Came out perfect

I LOVE Chophouses like this... laid back vibe; VERY upscale, without being pretentious; excellent menu, even if slightly pricey, it's still on par with Chophouses of this category. Upon walking in, the manager was quick to greet guests and find a seat at the bar for me and a coworker on my first visit and then for me only on my visit a couple of days later. Bartenders (Jenna and a guy who's been there 20 years, sorry, forgot his name) were very attentive, helpful and were hard workers... they were hustling, as the place was packed! They have a regular menu and a daily specials menu. I got some items from both. When you're in Texas, you must get some steak, so I got a filet and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly the potatoes smothered in onions and gravy that accompanied the steak were really interesting and tasty! The carrot that comes on the plate is a beautiful garnish, while also being very tasty! I started with the order of Scallops from their appetizer menu and WOW, they were amazing! With the Neuske bacon under them and the jalapeño on top, with a sweet & savory sauce, it was an incredible dish! I also got a half order of wedge to start and it was still huge... very nice Bleu cheese on top too! They have an excellent wine list here; in fact, it makes Wine Spectator's top list! They offer their wines at a reasonable price too. Of course, they have the ability to make nearly any cocktail you'd desire! This was an excellent couple of visits during my week long stay in San Antonio and even though I live in VA, I'll be coming back here to enjoy my birthday dinner!

Finally made it to Bob's. Even though we had reservations, the restaurant wasn't busy at the time we arrived and the hostess sat us in a corner booth. Brandy our waitress was spot on with every recommendation. The lobster bisque was tasty and I tried a dinner salad of mostly mixed greens, and at Brandy's recommendation I tried the champagne vinaigrette, which was pretty good. Janie had the fillet and I had the ribeye. Both were prepared just the way we requested. The best part of this meal was the brussel sprouts. Wow! You have to try these out. The portion size was enough for both of us. We skipped desert because we were just too full, however, the carrot cake that was listed, seemed pretty good. Ambiance / restaurant decor - 4 stars. Typical dark paneling for high end steak houses. Cleaniness of restaurant and bathrooms- 3 stars, seems to be a trend in all of the restaurants we have visited lately. Could've been better. Floors had not been mopped. The restaurant area was better but could tell some areas haven't been dusted in a while. Hostess / waitress- 5 stars. Brandy was awesome and when we come back, we will definitely be requesting her. Food and all side dishes - 4.5 stars. You have to try the brussel sprouts! Overall experience - 4 stars. Definitely one of the best steakhouses in San Antonio. We would definitely recommend.

I came here for a special event and was very impressed! Everything ordered looked delicious, the staff were professional and the ambiance was elegant. I ordered the pork chop, it came with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes. The entire table shared an order of brocollini. The food was AMAZING! The pork chop was seared perfectly and then cooked to more of a medium (I prefer my pork cooked well done) but I decided to try it as recommended and was not disappointed. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy and their was a wonderful apple glaze/sauce that came on the side to pair with the pork. This was easily one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I highly recommend Bob's for your next date night or evening out with friends!

This was probably my 5th or 6th time coming here, and usually it's a good experience. I love the ambiance of this place, it's perfect for date night, and the few people who were there were seated far enough apart. However, this time, it was not so great. Our server was Nick, and he was very attentive at first, but we felt very rushed at the beginning. As soon as he placed our menus on the table, he asked us what we wanted to drink without giving us the opportunity to look over the drink menu first, which is quite extensive. So we asked him for water, and to give us a minute. I ended up ordering the Build Your Own Mule with Rum ($12), and it was sort of tasteless. I would not recommend the Mule. I also ordered the Lobster Bisque as an appetizer and it was phenomenal! I was undecided about what to order as my entree, I just knew I wanted lobster. But when I asked him if there were any other lobster options other than what was on the menu, he gave me 3 different lobster tail sizes, but didn't know the prices of them. I ended up just ordering the Surf and Turf, oscared, with additional béarnaise sauce to spare him the trouble. After coming here hungry, we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for our entrees to come out! Nick did come by about halfway through that waiting time to reassure us that it would be out soon. But we had never waited that long to receive our food before. We finally get our food, only to see that my $60 lobster tail was burnt! I thought, for the cook see that the lobster tail was burnt and still find it suitable to plate, and for our server to see that the lobster tail was burnt and still find it suitable to serve, their standards must be Both the cook and server saw it burnt, but still decided to serve it that way. If their district manager, or Bob himself would have ordered that, would they have served it that way to them? So why serve that to your repeat customer? Maybe they thought that since they already had us waiting for so long, they had no choice but to serve it. But I broil lobster tails all the time, and it only takes 7 minutes, and is not that difficult. By the way the béarnaise sauce was awful! It was the worst I've ever had from any place. Don't waste your $4. Even I can make better béarnaise. So my guess is that maybe they hired a new cook which caused the food delay, burnt lobster tail and disgusting béarnaise. I don't know but, I don't think we'll be returning any time soon. I used to think Bob's was one of the best fine dining experiences in San Antonio, but there are some much better ones here. In my opinion Eddie V's and Chama Gaucha is better.

Even greater service than their great food! I attended an informative event there sponsored by Reliance Financial Partners and they give old fashioned, great service for a high class restaurant. Unlike Prez Joe Biden, they are competent at what they do! Their prices are high thanks to him not them as unlike him, they give you real value for your money!

This is an upper scale restaurant. The service was great and valet parking was also available. My steak dinner was fantastic, I definitely will return.

Decided to have a early date night dinner with my Fiancé & Son. We had reservations set for 4:30 PM (as soon as they opened) & we were NOT disappointed one bit! From the greetings at the host stands to the outstanding wait staff to the over the top & amazing food! It was my second time at Bob's (first time was in DFW) and I truly cannot wait to go back! We had the Lamb Lollipops as an appetizer. Best lamb ever! & we had ribeyes with the Mac & cheese, asparagus, & Brussel sprouts. We literally had two full meals. We were even comped a dessert to enjoy with our son & jelly beans for our trip home. Highly recommend

Prime Ribeye, Fully Loaded Baked Potato and a Glazed Carrot! Amazing! One of the best steaks I have had. 14oz of deliciously prepared meat, medium rare with an onion ring was the star of the plate. A fully loaded baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives made for the perfect side kick. A beutifully glazed carrot was the lady of the show. The three made for an awesome meal. Warning! Beware of the Bread! They vring out fresh made bread that is irresistible and addicting. It goes fast and we ended up asking for more. This tummy stuffer sneaks up on you fast and you realize you so not have much room left for the pound of food that is about to come out. Delicious bread! The ambiance is on the nicer end but typical od a nice steak house. They also have an excellent beer and wine selection. This is as good as it gets!

Great place to go for a fabulous dinner. Our server was very attentive and the food was fabulous. Will be going back often.

Bob's Steak and Chop House is an excellent choice for a special night out. This restaurant takes you away from the ordinary. The food is delicious and properly prepared. The service is unparalleled. Paul is an exceptional server! We always ask for him. You can tell this restaurant is top notch in all they provide. From the reception desk to the service to the management. It is a feel good experience! Every. Single. Time.

Took my family here last night and will not return. Though the service was great, the filets and strips were ordered medium and arrived medium rare. Filets were chewy and had almost no flavor. Had to send them back and they still came out undercooked. The massive carrot was tasty as was the smashed potato, but the experience with steaks detracted from the rest, especially as all the food came to the table slightly warm. Prices were much too high to justify the quality of food and experience. Heard good things about this place, but there are much better steakhouses around.

I was in San Antonio visiting and stubbled upon this great Steakhouse. I can not rave enough about Chef Saul Hernandez... the food was simply on point! Lots of great bacon options (bacon wrapped shrimp, Cobb salad with Bacon, and even cowboy style bacon strips). The steak was also just mouth watering. There was a thin crispy layer on the outside (just perfect) and the inside was pink and tender, just perfection. Don't let me forget the lobster... yum
