Great experience night for a date or celebration 🎉 the service is good and food was very good. But so it should be for the prices. Also the bar upstairs is 20-24 euro a cocktail but is high end so worth it if it’s a special night out. From an Australian perspective so our $A doesn’t go as far. The bathroom is an experience, DJ, service man and shared stalls. Better for vibe but not practical for guys who want a quick No 1 or girls who want a clean stall.

I visited Boca Grande in Barcelona a couple of times, and while it has a convenient location in a quiet alley surrounded by various restaurants and a large underground parking lot, my overall experience was disappointing. The interior is nice, but both the food and service were quite average. They do serve fresh and delicious oysters, but since they don't require cooking, they maintain their flavor. There's also a good selection of fresh fish, crabs, and lobsters, but I wasn't impressed with how they prepare the fish. After eating it, I felt quite heavy. We ordered two different lobster dishes, one came with potato chips in a sauce that overwhelmed the taste, while the other had a heavy sauce that completely masked the flavor. Even the grilled fish was prepared with onions and butter, which detracted from the dish's lightness. It seems that this style of cuisine just doesn't suit my taste, and I left the restaurant unsatisfied. Another downside was that not all the waitstaff spoke English, which made communication a bit challenging. Additionally, I was taken aback by an incident that occurred after 8 PM when a man appeared in the restroom with various cheap hygiene products from the supermarket. He had deodorants and mouthwash in a large economy bottle, which raised eyebrows, and other signs… He set out small dishes in all the sinks, each with a €10 and €20 bill on opposite sides🙈 He wouldn't let me turn on the water myself or grab a paper towel, which felt uncomfortable. I prefer to take my own towel and wipe my hands without someone holding it in front of me and sorry but he really looks strange…🤷🏼‍♀️ The whole setup felt cheap and almost like a demand for tips, which was off-putting. I came to wash my hands at the restaurant, not to be directed toward a paid restroom. Overall, I found the experience to be quite tacky, and I won’t be returning to this establishment!

Google
The atmosphere at the restaurant is truly nice – stylish, cozy, and clearly designed with great attention to detail. Even the restrooms were exceptionally clean and modern, which is definitely worth mentioning. The food was good and nicely presented, but I found the prices to be quite high for what was offered. Overall, the value for money just didn’t feel right to me. Despite the lovely setting, I personally wouldn’t return.

Google
Food was good, service was great and decoration is amazing! Solomillo was very small for 47euros. They have delicious gluten free bread! The bathroom has a person in charge of supplying paper towels which i found very weird but overall great experience!

First night gastronomic seafood meal in Barcelona and we couldn’t make it to the cocktail lounge after dinner. Food here has always been fantastic and it’s good to checkout the bar counter on their daily fresh selection. To avoid surprise, do check with server on the market price.

I visited Boca Grande in Barcelona ( just left place 10min ago 7/08 @ 8.50 ) which presents itself as a fancy, upscale restaurant with prices far above the average in the area. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from the moment we arrived. Within the first 15–20 minutes, a giant cockroach was crawling on the floor and even climbed up my leg. I stayed discreet and quietly informed the staff, specifically the manager, trying not to cause a scene. I expected at least a sincere apology or some meaningful gesture from management. Instead, the response was dismissive. We waited over 20–25 minutes for our drinks, which never arrived. Then, to make things worse, we were handed a bill for nearly $170 USD even though we hadn’t even started eating properly. My daughter had a small shrimp dish – just six tiny shrimp – and that alone was around $70 USD, and frankly, it was underwhelming. The manager, who was unfortunately rude and condescending, gave us a mere $20 discount. I didn’t ask for a discount – I just wanted to enjoy dinner. I ended up leaving hungry, disappointed, and shocked by the poor service, high prices, and unhygienic environment. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant. Beautiful on the outside, but the experience was unacceptable. Bill is attach, hope they see it and cancel my Tab , I will honestly call card and open a dispute. Rate to do that, totally opposite I always like to leave 5 start reviews Thanks,

Jason Jiang

Google
There will be service surcharges on your bill. And we waited for 40min to get the table because we missed our appointment time quite a lot. The food overall is decent, yet overpriced. We didn’t order any alcohol and averaged ~110 euro per person.

That was definitely one of most delicious night I’ve spent in Barcelona. Meat and seafood were amazing. I went with group of friends, everybody enjoyed wine also. They have Jumbo sizes as well, which is 1,5 liters. Guys, I should say this. I think one of best washrooms in Spain, was here. Really. 😊

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a cute alley street and the inside looks beautiful with all the glass (in both the flat window kind and the glass bottle kind). After I got seated, I immediately noticed that the restaurant guests were predominately English speaking, so I was suspicious that this place may be a tourist trap. The seafood here is pretty good, but *very* expensive for what you get (1 star off). For example, each raw oyster was 6 euros and each bottle of mineral water was 8 euros. The raw oyster was not bad, but definitely not worth 6 euros. With the water, well, it was just water. The two items that I liked the most were the red salmon tartar taco (like a sushi taco with a seaweed tortilla) and the scallop with garlic butter and parsley (served in a beautiful shell). I would eat those over and over again. I also appreciated the novelty of the octopus with pork cheek and potato foam, but ultimately thought it was a little too heavy so did not end up finishing it. At the conclusion of the meal, when I received the check, I was asked to tip 10%, 15%, or 20%. A local friend of mine told me that it is not customary to tip in Barcelona, but a really good service deserves maybe 5%, at most 10% by local standards. There was no option to not tip. I tipped 10% because the service was attentive. It seems like Boca Grande is taking advantage of ignorant tourists to get that extra tip (1 star off). I ended up spending 90 euros for a few bites of food. Because the restaurant was full of English speakers and the prices are exorbitant for what you gret, I think this is a tourist trap. I have had many other great restaurants in Barcelona that did not cost that much.

Yelp
Enter this place and immediately be floored by the beauty of it all! Wow. The restaurant is stunning, from the dining room, to literally the bathroom. No detail left behind. The food is inventive and a nice elevation on many types of tapas. The steak tartar was filled with flavor. Seafood pasta with cream sauce was rich and lots of fresh shellfish. The vibe is just beautiful and inviting. Excellent service! Not to be missed visit.

Yelp
Very solid dinner option by Passeig Gracia with friendly staff and all the classics like paella, lobster arroz caldosa, and patatas bravas. The seafood paella was quite solid but they place the dish for you so you don't have the opportunity to scrape the pan for the crispy bits at the bottom. Be sure to try the truffled eggs over fries and burrata to start. I was very pleasantly surprised by how fresh and creamy the burrata was. Prices are slightly higher but they are open on holidays and have a wide range of options including freshly grilled langoustine and king crab. Worth a visit.

Yelp
Boca Grande in Barcelona is a must. The experience begins from the moment you step in. The restaurant is decorated so nicely (and the bathroom is awesome). We started with a dozen oysters and giant, fresh crab legs. They cut and prepare the crab for you making it easy to enjoy the delicious crab meat with the accompanying dipping sauces. We also threw in an order of the pan con tomate "tomato bread", so good! Another standout on the menu was the whole fish (sea bass) baked in salt. The hardened salt crust was broken open table-side, revealing a beautifully moist and delicately flavored fish. The hint of saltiness coupled with the natural sweetness of the fish makes for the most delicious flavor. It is served with vegetables and baked potatoes. The dessert selections change often and we got a few to share between us all. They were all 3 different and delicious in their own way. My favorite was the lychee dessert (it was also the prettiest). Service was another high point of the visit. The staff at Boca Grande were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for the dishes they served were evident and added an extra layer of appreciation to each course. This is a popular spot for dinner so make sure to make a reservation. Lunch also tends to book up so it's best to have a reservation.

Yelp
Four of us were looking for a late meal and decided to stop here when walking by. It was 11:15 pm and kitchen is open til midnight. Hostess at desk said it was fine (plenty of time) but wow, the waitstaff seemed quite upset we were seated for dinner. Tried rushing us and told us the items we ordered (burger and paella) were going to take a while. We stuck with our order. Other reviews talk about big portions. Well, I'm unsure what their definition of "big" is but the portions were certainly not that. Teriyaki salmon was tasty but very skimpy. Buratta salad had very nice amount of tasty cheese but the arugula was barely a handful and there were perhaps 5 cherry tomatoes cut in half. The worst of it wasn't the size but the overly acidic dressing. The lemon pie desert was lovely. Overall, food is average at best but quality to price and portion size is poor. Far better restaurants to choose from in the area where they actually make you feel welcome. Two stars largely for the attractive restaurant.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing in every way! The food, the atmosphere, the staff. My husband and I absolutely loved our experience at Boca Grande and would highly recommend. We also booked a slot for their bar upstairs which was one of the coolest vibes we experienced in Barcelona. Highly recommend and can't wait to revisit!

Yelp

Yelp
The food was so so. The service was not great! The ambiance is lovely. The decor is exceptional but the overall experience was sadly, just ok

Yelp
Loved the ambiance of this place! The sex appeal was the best drink ever. The food we had before the cocktail bar was also amazing. The scallops were in a delicious butter sauce.

Yelp
An outstanding experience . The seafood paella was outstanding as well as the steak cooked to perfection . There was a wine sommelier who served the wine, which was delicious. Everyone loved the cheesecake ( best we have ever had). Service was friendly for the most part, ambiance was upscale yet relaxed. Even if you don't need to, check out the bathroom, it's a phenomenon to experience!

Yelp
I rarely give 5 stars, but if I could give a 6th star to Boca Grande I would. Incredible service from the very beginning, great ambiance inside and the food was incredible. We had the salt encrusted sea bass with the sea urchin for a starter. Both were very well prepared and fantastic. Definitely go here when you are in Barcelona.

Yelp
Total joke. Made reservations, arrived to a beautiful restaurant and that's the only positive I can say. If you enjoy eating overpriced mediocre food, and terrible service that's what you will get here. Food: Mediocre at best Prices: way too high for what you get Service: Awful Long story short, all was well until it wasn't. as things came out we were so optimistic and wanted to love it, but everything got more and more disappointing as the night went on. Then, someone asked for the air to be turned on as we were literally sweating at the table. They came to us and turned the air conditioner and music off then said they were closed. Made a reservation, spent $800+ for a group of 10, and they turned the air conditioner off, the music off, and s e r i o u s l y asked us to leave. We were stunned!!! Word to the wise: Avoid this place. Total jerks!!!

Yelp
I never write bad reviews, but had to after our May 24 experience. We sat and were having a normal dinner. Our server asked if we'd like a table upstairs at Boca Chica on Floor 1 after. He confirmed that he made one with the upstairs hostess. At the end of our meal, he walked us to the staircase and told us that the reservation was under my name. and to tell the hostess upstairs and that we'd be seated for a table. The upstairs hostess on floor 1 had no reservation for us. We went back downstairs the waiter downstairs, when asked, shared that there was a miscommunication. He said that there was never a reservation for us. On top of this major issue: - The staff "upsold" us on food and drinks throughout the night (wine, jamon, etc.) - it felt like we were being sold to, not dining at a nice restaurant - The pork rice, french fries, and nutella cheesecake were all served cold - The nutella cheesecake didn't taste like nutella or cheesecake This was all unprofessional, frustrating, and embarrassing for us. It was a special occasion and it ruined our experience and dinner.

Yelp
My first foie gras experience and it was insanely good!! The fattiness just melts in your mouth but you still get that duck liver aftertaste. The ox steak paired with the foie was average wish it was a bigger portion for the price. It was also my first time having tomato bread. At first glance, I thought it'd be like pizza but the olive oil and tomato was refreshing. Egg flan was not my favorite a little too eggy and sweet for my liking. Like everyone said go check out the beautiful bathroom!

Yelp
HUGE portions. Fresh, tasty, well seasoned! Krista was great! Friendly and helpful in choosing our dinner!

Yelp
Old cocktail bar/speakeasy meets nouveau hipster kitsch. And the trendiest bathroom you'll see in Barcelona... fresh seafood and great cocktails. Great friendly service (unlike many trendy spots). Host brought out their fish special on ice, for example. The atmosphere was very trendy but also without pretentiousness. I could hang here for hours. Lots of dark wood and leather, mirrors, bottles of liquor and wine encircling you, and bright windows and tile. The clientele are dressed well, whether casual or dressy. There was impressive chill edm and pop synth music in the background that someone made sense in this setting--good volume, much louder in the basement bathrooms which was appreciated to hide all the bathroom sounds in the unisex setting. Loved the Damien Hirst medicinal posters as well for a nice avante garde touch. The menu is impressively stocked with both daily and standing items. They won't serve seafood unless it was fresh and of high quality that day -- e.g. I ordered the navalle (razor clams) but they didn't find them fresh that day and offered alternatives. The anchovies, (lightly) fried artichoke, mushroom paella with black sausage, and mussels and fries were fabulous. The zucchini flowers were delightful but could have done with more flowers and less zucchini. The gazpacho was pretty good but not astounding. Even the tomato bread was better than average. The sea bass of the day looked fabulous but could only stomach so much food without a siesta. The dessert tray was full of treats that I'll try another time. The cocktail menu was larger than average for Barcelona and both artisanal and antique. I highly recommend the refreshing 1/2 combonació catalana-- vermouth, herbs, and hibiscus water -- to start. Careful with the sparkling water--their Vichy Catalana 1881 is the saltier version that many non-euros don't appreciate as much. The price was not bad given the trendiness, quality of the ingredients, atmosphere, and service--that said it's not a bocaria. I'll definitely be back and recommend this as a prime lunch spot for friends and family. The kitchen video below is a bit grainy and dark but you get the feel.

Yelp
Best food in Barcelona is an understatement. Great service, environment is loud but not overwhelming, bathroom is insanely cool and service is amazing. Aubergine tapa was delectable with a ton of truffles; prawns were huge and all of the seafood was super tender and overall everything was of really high quality. White asparagus is also a must try. Food is a little pricey, but wine is super reasonable and this is w/o a doubt a must try if in Barcelona. Make sure you plan ahead and get a reservation a few weeks out, tends to get crowded late at night. Tapa menu isn't available before 8 PM. Attire is semi formal; saw sneakers and jeans with nice shirts but dresses were pretty much the norm.

Yelp
Trato grosero del personal, muy mal servicio

Yelp
Si es posible, ¡le daría a este restaurante cero estrellas! Servicio y comida horribles, ¡intentan venderte más en todo! ¡Hazte un favor y evita este restaurante a toda costa!

Yelp
One of my favorite spots when we go to Barcelona! So many good tapas, great drinks, the environment is incredible and the decor and ambiance is like nothing I have been to! We enjoyed mussels, tomato bread, paella, croquettas, seafood, cheeses, basically we experienced the best of the menu and had the best wines to pair with. We went on my birthday the first time and then with my significant other this fall. Both times were great!!! This is a must see when in Barcelona! They surprised me with dessert too!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food. We were able to get reservations thanks to our concierge. There weren't many times available so I definitely recommend planning ahead. They have a fancy bar above the restaurant (we accidentally went there first because we came in through the back instead of the front entrance) and it seems you may need reservations to get into the bar as well. The restaurant was quite busy, even at 10:30 pm. The Gin Mouth is great if you enjoy gin and tonics. We shared the cured meat platter, Paella Marinara, and Black Spaghetti. No complaints about anything, but the spaghetti was definitely my favorite. Their bathroom appears to be heavily featured on Tripadvisor but I didn't make it a priority to check that out.

Yelp
Boca Grande is the BIGGEST five stars I've ever given. It's called big mouth for a reason! You need a huge mouth to eat their huge, delicious, amazing dishes! I am so pleased that I went here and will most CERTAINLY be going back. Favorite restaurant of this entire Barcelona trip (and, as always, I've been eating a lot). First of all, the second you step in the door, you feel as though you've been invited into an elite club. It is so serene, styled, and SEXY! The atmosphere is quite desirable! The hostesses are not condescending at all; on the contrary, they're super welcoming. I am on this trip alone, so I sat at the bar by myself, but did not have a lack of entertainment- the people who dine here are all so well-dressed and cool looking! I started with both a croquette of Iberian ham and one of roasted meat. Both were TO DIE FOR. I lived with a family in Madrid for 2 months a few summers back, and even their homemade croquettes don't top these delicious, rich, and moist. (Lightly) fried to perfection. I then TRIED TO FINISH (couldn't even come close!) the HUGE burrata with rocket and tomato, but couldn't even! GIANT mound of fresh wet cheese and great arugula and chopped tomato. Oh, and drinks. I got a perfectly sweet strawberry daiquiri in a margarita glass, and it was topped with mint and strawberry slices. Quite aesthetic. For my entree, I ate the mussels served marinara style with fries on the side. If I'm gonna eat fries, they better be worth every calorie. And these ones were. O. M. G. !!! DELISH! Crispy and cooked to perfection. I adore. The mussels were all open (not closed or empty like those cheap places!) and they were plump and perfectly salty. So yummy. I barely finished them! And the bathroom. Don't even get me started. The bathroom is filled with all sorts of awesome vintage mirrors and Damien Hirst art. I couldn't keep my eyes off all of them! Hundreds of candles burning, too. It was a huge unisex bathroom but I didn't even care, it was so surreal. Even the carpet on the stairs is leopard. Dope! I checked out the Boca Chica upstairs, a wine lounge, and I definitely want to try there, too, on my next trip to Barcelona. Great bar setting and rare Miró paintings. I loved every minute, bite, and selfie in this restaurant!!!! FIVE WHOPPING STARS! Excellent ambiance, service, and FOOD! Woohoo! Fiestar en Barcelona!

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This place was recommended by the hotel concierge, and they were super right! It is a beautiful restaurant, loved, loved the decor, the ambiance, service and food. Everything about the place is simply spectacular. And don't forget to visit the bathrooms!! Super cool...you have to see it to believe it! LOL Have fun visiting this restaurant, I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Eating at Boca Grande was the highlight of my trip to Barcelona. I could not get a dinner reservation so I came early to enjoy the limited menu (before 8pm). Let me tell you something, I would have never known that menu was limited. Service--amazing. Ambiance--sexy. Food--extraordinary (only thing I didn't love was the seafood paella; too fishy). And since we were celebrating a birthday, they surprised us with a song & flare. I can't wait to return for the full menu and check out Boca Chica upstairs!!!

Mike B.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere! Food was fantastic! Bar upstairs perfect! Staff was extremely friendly! Fun times!

Yelp
Went here during my 4 day trip to Barcelona. Great city with amazing food, but sadly this place was one of my least favorite. The decor and energy here is amazing with a good mix of people and different levels of fun. Where this place misses is with the food and being overpriced. We had the king crab leg (amazing 60 euro), tomato bread (good ), Belgian mussels (not great and bland), tuna with peppers (a huge chunk of tuna meat that tasted from a can, octopus bomb (croquette that's not tasty and has too much going on in a small bite), melon with ham and mint (very tasty and refreshing. i loved this). We decided not to go for dessert here as the meal was mediocre. Good place for a drink and maybe a couple of small tapas, nothing more.

Yelp
We had my best friends wedding reception dinner here. It was absolutely amazing food and service. We tried almost everything they just kept bringing out food. Can't wait to go back one day.

Yelp
Two words: tourist trap. Food is blah, small portions and way over priced. 1- they don't offer tap water, instead they push a €6 bottled water on you. For reference an oyster in this restaurant is less expensive than the bottled water. 2- the huevos rotos (fries with egg) was terrible 3- the sea food pasta was tasty although a very small portion relative to the price

Yelp
Boca Grande was recommended to us by the front staff of our hotel. The restaurant is situated in a small alley, just off Passeig de Gracia which is one of the main shopping streets in Barcelona. We had 4 in our party and decided to eat family style so that we would have the opportunity to try several things on the menu. *Fresh Fish - They brought by on silver platters, a couple of fresh fish to see if we had any interest. Each had a tag with weight and price. One looked almost like a stingray so that was a definite no. The other looked like your standard fish so that's what we chose. The fish is baked whole, covered by a mound of sea salt. They showed us the fish right before it went into the oven. After baking and once the salt is brushed away, the fish is then filleted and served with a side of lemon juice and oil. I believe this is a traditional Catalan way of making fresh fish. I have no idea what kind of fish it was but it was delicious. Extremely fresh and clean tasting...no fishiness. This was accompanied with a side of mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, shishito peppers, potato). *Vegetables and Mushrooms - We ordered this since my uncle wanted more veggies. The vegetables are served in a mini bamboo steamer with a dipping sauce. This was ok, nothing special. *Mussels w/French Fries - Best mussels ever! Tiny in size but very tender and flavorful with a mild sweetness. The broth was great too. Even the french fries were amazing. We ended up ordering a 2nd order of this delicious dish. *Black Spaghetti w/Seafood - I'm assuming the black spaghetti is squid ink pasta. There was an abundance of different seafood: shrimp, mussels, fish, clams, razor clams. The sauce was good. Overall a decent dish. *Tiramisu - Not your standard tiramisu. The cake layers are wrapped with an edible chocolate shell and topped with chocolate biscuit pieces. I loved the crunchy topping. *Nutella Croquet - Crispy panko-style outer coating with an ooey gooey nutella center. Sold by the each. We ordered 2 and wish we had room for more! *Penis-shaped Cake - Obviously that's not the name of the dessert but I'm not sure what it was called. This dessert was displayed on the dessert platter and not listed on the menu which is why I don't know the name. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Not bad but I much preferred the other 2 desserts. All in all, we were impressed with the food and service was great too. Solid 4 stars!

Yelp
Food was delicious! Amazing! We had the octopus pork chop and potato.... which was basically a potato cream soup/purée with octopus pieces inside. Thick enough to eat with a fork or spoon. It was exceptional. The oysters were fresh and were consumed with only a tiny squeeze of lemon. The "white fish" ceviche was also very good. The fish was similar to that if a sea bass. The service however, could have been a little better. Everyone seemed as though they were unhappy to be working. From the hostess to the wait staff, just came across and unfriendly and not super attentive to our table.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to have a "Shopping Break" cocktail while in Barcelona and picked this place as it was close by. The place is lovely and inviting. Upon being seated and handed the menu, I was completely taken back by the cocktail prices. $20-50 per cocktail. We ordered a spicy margarita and old fashioned. Neither one was mind blowingly good or worth what we paid for them. The ambiance and atmosphere were very nice, but still not worth the cocktail prices. To top it all, this was the very first time we've ever been asked while in Europe, "The tip is already included, but if you'd like to add an additional gratuity, we'd appreciate it." The only reason I would go back is for the very cool bathroom, so don't forget to check that out!

Yelp
Expensive but worth it! The decor is soooooo cute. All the food was amazing. Warning- it's quite pricey for tapas!!! Fish soup- amazing! Cheese bread (takes 15 min to prep)- amazing!

Yelp
Excellent food. Restaurant is beautiful. Make sure you check out the bathroom and the bar upstairs!

Yelp
place is very good. Service elite. Chesse elite. Drinks elite. they had a special king crab is it was very good. The service was very good the waiters made sure to explain the food to us and show us the food. Compared to the other places i've ate at in barcelona this place had been the best. though it is a little pricy it is worth. I highly recommend.

Yelp
I heard great things about this restaurant. While in Barcelona I decided to try it. Reservations were easy. Since I was one person originally I was sat at the bar. J requested to change simply because I tend to order a lot of food and need room. Moved upstairs. The cocktails were great. I started with ham croquettes which were very yummy. Also a tomato salad which was great too. Then tried the salmon which was delightful. And when I got to the lobster paella, I was disappointed. The rice was over cooked and burnt. And honestly lacked the flavor of most paellas. All in all the food was okay. The service was good. My server was very nice and friendly and even sent me a few glasses of champagne. The ambiance is nice. It is dark and upstairs they do play music. As someone in my mid 30s, dark restaurants with loud music aren't my thing anymore. But this wasn't so bad. Would I return, I'm sure.

Yelp
Four of us secured same day reservation through our hotel. We checked in and were escorted to the bar upstairs. The atmosphere was classic, with spacious interior and perfect noise level. We were given immediate service by the bartender, and the drinks were generous and well made. We were called to our table just after ten minutes in the bar, which surprised me as there was a pretty good sized crowd. Three of us had seafood, and one with pasta. The wait staff were very helpful, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Yes, pricing is above the customary, but I thought it was worth the experience.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is fabulous. The food is 5 star, the ambience is wonderful, and the service is superb. Even the bathrooms are incredible. We made a reservation for 4 people on a Wednesday night at 8pm-the restaurant was empty when we got there but it was packed around 9pm so you definitely need a reservation. We didn't get a chance to check out the cocktail bar but I hear it's definitely a must. My favorite dishes were the mussels and beef tartare. The chocolate, mango, coconut egg dessert is also the best dessert i've ever had! This place will not disappoint.

Yelp
Went for my birthday dinner in Barcelona. Such a beautiful place! Ended up sitting at the bar but the bartender was very attentive to our needs. I ordered teriyaki salmon which was delicious and my beau ordered sushi. Everything was great but the portions are small. As mentioned already, check out the beautiful bathrooms (selfie central). Enjoy the ambience!

Yelp
I did not love Boca Grande. I thought it was pretty boring, food and decor-wise. Everything felt like it was chic in 2005. It reminded me of Soho in the mid 2000s. We went as a couple, but Boca Grande is probably better for groups. The appetizers were very expensive and HUGE. I was a bit upset that the server let me order a buratta salad that was surely meant for 4 people. I assumed that it was a very special buratta, but it was average at best. The paella was also massive, too big for one person. Service was slow. Boca Grande was filled with ex-pats and seemed to be a place that rich kids went with their foreign parents when they're in town. Not very authentic and too trendy for its own good.

Yelp
I went to Boca Chica, the lounge/bar of Boca Grande. The entire establishment has a chic and trendy feel. Music is on every level including the floor where the bathroom is. There were people using bathroom area as a place to socialize and dance to the music which I thought was pretty cool. I had a generous plate of pasta with truffle and asparagus which was tasty. Most of the service staff was incredibly accommodating. The music was remixes of 90s hits, but the vibe was still cool. If I lived in Barcelona, I'd frequent this place regularly.

Yelp
Nice restaurant, but they put us in a corner and it was extremely hot. They kept bringing us water bottles that were not new yet they charged us. Their bathroom is the best entertainment of this location. The food was ok. Nothing big.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food. Awesome selection of wine. Very busy, but service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. Bustling, classy and very Spanish.

Yelp
This restaurant is a little pricey though the quality of food was great! Our server was a little slow to tend to our tables; she seemed to be the only one tending to our section, a section of approximately 5 tables. My wife had a Paella dish with seafood which had lobster (small), shrimp and some type of squid. I had the catch of the day, Turbot fish, which was served with a side steamed vegetables. The ambiance is fit for a romantic style dinner and the entry you'll notice an ice tank with the catch of the day fish on display ready to be ordered. For the price and interest in seafood while in Barca, I would almost recommend exploring restaurants near the beach. For convenient quality sea food in the city, this place will do the trick. They serve other authentic Spanish cuisines as well. The bathrooms (water closets in Europe) are uniquely arranged in decor and set up. The sink/wash area is common with a center type sink. The decor includes art/pictures of topless women and some shirtless men. The staff was professional so don't let this discourage your visit but rather keep it in mind as you escort your kids to the water closet.

Yelp
Just another example of excellent tapas in Barcelona. Oysters, ceviche & a potatoe purée with pork and octopus leaving filled fulfilled. Note: On the expensive side.
