Boca Grande Hotel

Ultimately the best hotel experience we have ever had. Beginning with Margarita the general manager . When I called to make the reservation she went over and beyond to get us the perfect room. The room was pristine and spacious. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jo in the front office who kindly gave us a map of the island and gave us recommendations of her favorite restaurants . We enjoyed our stay so much that we added one more night in which Jeremy informed us there was a cancelation and it was the room we were staying in😊 Thia also went out her way to help us with our TV in our room. The whole staff is outstanding. Jennifer in the front office made certain we were enjoying our stay and she helped us book upcoming months ahead in the same room. Boca Grande hotel is perfect with everything you need from coffee maker, refrigerator, attentive and kind cleaning staff, and a pool that went out of there way to accommodate us. Overall if we could give ten stars we would. We are returning every other month. Best, Kimberly and Al Mejia

Jo was absolutely amazing. She is such a sweet person. She helped us out so much. We were visiting the island for our first time and she went out of her way to help us find places to enjoy. Thank you so much, Jo.

Room was clean, fresh and comfortable! Service was fast and easy. More than reasonable price!! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit! They have a pool and easy access to the shops and restaurants on the island. Kappys next door has all you need to help make your stay more like home.

We absolutely loved our experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, with easy access to all areas of the island. The best thing about the hotel was the unbelievably friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel, perfect location. Has a small store next door that has just about anything you need, including golf cart rentals. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They put out extra towels and hygiene products to grab any time. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

Our family really enjoyed our experience at this hotel...great location, nice rooms, friendly staff and nice amenities.

The hotel is very comfortable. Our room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. It’s perfect if you have your boat at the marina behind it. There’s a convenience store (until 5) and a golf cart rental in the plaza. We normally stay at the Palmetto Inn (same hotel owners), but they were booked and we were happy with the hotel. Definitely rent a golf cart as you have to drive into town for meals/bars. The reception staff is always wonderful (same office for the hotel and Palmetto Inn).

Cannot say enough great things about the Boca Grande Resort. Super friendly staff! We checked in with Patrick who was very professional, nice and knowledgeable about the island with many suggestions on places to visit and dining choices. Our room was clean and spacious, and the fact that there was a ceiling fan was a bonus!! Can’t wait to return!

Front desk lady was super friendly and happy each time I saw her. They offer beach/pool towels at the desk. Our room was very nice but a little dark for my taste--sort of 2000 Tommy Bahama style. It was clean and easy free parking. It was a little further from town than I thought and taking a golf cart all the way there wouldve probably taken 30+ minutes, so Im glad we drove. The pool area does leave a little to be desired though. It is full sun, in an awkward after-thought space, and unappealing. May I suggest getting several Areca palms, or Fishtails to grow tall along the west side to block that scorching afternoon heat. Maybe string up some lights and build a pavilion on the north or east side for gathering. It definitely needs some sprucing up. Other than that it was a great stay!

Room was clean and fresh smelling. Unfortunately that's really one of the few positives. Staff at this Motel(THIS IS NOT A RESORT) was pleasant and kind, the pool area was ok, bed was comfortable... now for the not so great things...... Outdated and drab decor in rooms, Mismatched flooring with odd bathroom countertop. A patched shower floor. 1 chair with the table and no additional seating. None of the furniture went together. The store near the Motel closes early, like 8pm early(You also learn this the hard way due to not being mentioned at check in) Overall: This place is not worth the nightly rate, It is definitely not a Resort, and don't expect them to tell you anything valuable at check-in!!

This hotel is THE BEST . It looks just normal from outside but OMG the furnishings are extremely upscale an rooms are clean . Pool very cozy an clean. Staff is on top of any request we had. Plenty of parking an easy for handicap. Corridor sitting ver nice day or nite lighting. We took a chance our first yr. An we came back for 4 nite stay this yr.

Loved It! Sure glad we Found this hidden gem! So the family and I decided to take a little vacation and we simply loved this place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and above All accommodating ! The on duty manager --margarita Was so wonderful to drive back to the island to give us a roll over bed at eleven pm at night! And the rooms were clean and comfy and best of all you can't beat the price for the island! The landscaping needs some work but all and all I give it five stars!

Very disappointed. The online photos depict and the listing of hotel amenities states that there is beach access. Sure, when you drive FIVE MILES AWAY FROM THE HOTEL. This is NOT accurate representation. Spent $1000 for something I could have paid $600 for in another town abs not have driven the extra hours. Also, stated that there were 3 restaurants and there is one.

My stay here was amazing, the staff and restaurant was awesome! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay here a great experience.

This place is far from a "resort". It's an old run down shopping mall that they turned into a MOTEL. So very disappointed......

Great staff -laid back atmosphere. Was here with family and loved it so much came back again. Kudos to all of them, especially Alberto and Jeremy who found my glasses . Would come back again. Gold cart rental, small store and all the amenities.

DO NOT STAY HERE! It's disgusting. We stayed here one night and have bedbug bites. The pillowcases were dirty. Not stained. Dirty. The sheets were dirty. The tables were disgusting. They don't even clean the bathrooms. This place is nasty and should be shut down. We would have been better off sleeping in our car. Seriously. Do not stay here. You'll regret it. We regret it and we were only there one night.

The Boca Grande Resort has gone above and beyond to accommodate my husband and I during our stay. Being the last minute traveler that I am, we had to book for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend. Everything was booked up or overpriced. I called the Resort and right away Doug, the manager, was amazing. Helpful and responsive. They even had a discount deal going on over the weekend. When we arrived, we quickly realized that the town was about a 3.5 mile walk north from us. All island golf carts were booked and we were feeling somewhat stranded from the rest of the wedding group. The friendly staff overheard us trying to figure out our mode of transportation and immediately stepped in and helped. They had really nice bikes in their storage unit, offered us the bikes, filled the tires up, and drafted up a waiver. FREE OF CHARGE FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK STAY!!!! It was super helpful and we had a blast ridding up and down the island on our bikes! The rooms are very nice and cozy and have clearly been remodeled not too long ago. They are very Tommy Bahama feeling. Crown molded ceilings, fresh carpeting, and a cozy bed with ample pillows. The room also has a mini fridge and microwave which comes in handy. The Resort is located in a strip mall type building and the far end of the mall is Kappy's Market. Basically the only quick market on the island. This is extremely convenient! Kappy's offers a full deli of Boar's Head meats, coffee, ice cream, produce, frozen foods, alcohol, and basically anything else that you may need. We found ourselves at Kappy's multiple times a day. Kappy's also rents golf carts which is definitely a must when staying at the Boca Grande Resort. (again I'm last minute and bc of the holiday no carts were available.) Lastly, the scene and energy at the Boca Grande Resort were lacking for what my husband and I like to do. We are very social and outgoing, like to being in the center of the commotion and the Resort was not that. However, we are in a beach town and with that being said, we didn't need to spend a lot of time in our room or at the Resort. We used the facility to sleep and shower! Overall, I gave the Boca Grande Resort 5 stars bc it was a 5 star experience. I feel like we got more than what we paid for. The rooms were VERY nice, the staff was super helpful, the facility was clean and that is what matters most in my opinion! Check them out for your next stay!

Stayed here several times as it's a great little area to do a mini vacation. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. There is a pool with nice seating areas. The beach access and town are just a few miles down the road.

We stayed on October 1st, 2017 and it was a big disappointment. The room smells musty with mold and the staff consisted of a young teen who gave us our room key. There was nothing nice about this resort. I am not picky and I rarely write a bad review but this needed to be told. I too read the bad reviews and thought the writer must have been picky but they were right. Nothing in the area was open and no one was in the office at 10 AM this morning to talk to us. There was a note to drop the key into the box. Poor poor customer service.

Bed Bugs. Do Not Stay. Stayed the weekend of April 21-23, 2017 and got bed bugs. I called to explain the situation and the attendant yelled at me told me I was lying. STAY AWAY. VERY FAR AWAY!
