Excellent airport! I flew in a lite jet and loved it - very convenient. I am sure as Boca continues its explosive growth they will have a hard time keeping up with demand - but today - it is excellent

Good general aviation airport with two FBO's, Atlantic and Signature. Mostly used by private jets but there are also single engine planes. They're is a shortage of hangers and tie down spaces. There is also a U. S Customs facility for planes arriving internationally. Beware that when President Trump stays in Palm Beach there will be a TFR encompassing BCT and closing PBI to most traffic. This will make BCT extremely busy with limited aircraft parking.

Quick arrival with catering and customs clearing. Great staff and very efficient! This was my first time re-entering the country and flying in here… very smooth in comparison to some Florida FBOs.

We just had one of the most memorable days of our lives on the tarmac at Atlantic BCT thanks to Linda Hernandez and her team. We wanted to coordinate a surprise marriage proposal on the tarmac as we boarded a charter to the Bahamas for the weekend. We also hoped to invite two additional SUV's full of family to experience the brief, but very special moment with us. Linda attended to every detail and the proposal went off without a single problem or concern. Her professionalism, timely communication and organizational skills were nothing short of amazing. She rallied her awesome team for us and pulled off the outdoor mini-event of a lifetime. She even surprised us with Mr. and Mrs. glasses and champagne for the trip. Linda will likely tell you it was no big deal, but in the eyes of our family it was monumental. Her business card says Customer Relations Manager, but the kindness shown and the effort delivered was so much more than just good customer service! Our family is forever grateful.

This is a busy airport when POS comes to town. Noisy overhead air traffic is like I-95 at rush hour. Soot deposits on property below is a health hazard to life and damages property. Time of arrivals and departures flights are all hours of day and night. They need to limit/fine after hours. Not good neighbors to pollute my neighborhood.

Yelp
The Boca Raton Airport opened in 1936 as a grass strip that was once part of Florida Atlantic University. It was built for guests flying in to stay at the Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn. After the United States entered into WWII, the airport became part of the Boca Raton Army in 1942 where it played a crucial role in training Army Air Corps in radar technology. After the war the Boca Raton Airport opened after the United States government transferred the property to the City of Boca Raton. Celebrating the storied history of this airfield a new airport observation area was dedicated on January 28, 2025. The area has a shade cover, landscaping and benches giving you an unobstructed 360 degree view of the planes taking off and landing at the airport. Interpretative signs give information about the local wildlife, history of the airport, navigation equipment, and the types of planes you will see. As you watch the planes you can even hear the instructions from the air traffic control tower. Watching the planes take off so close to you is thrilling. Anyone who has an interest in aviation will enjoy visiting this unique park. While the planes may be the star attraction the wildlife is also not to be missed. If you are lucky you will see burrowing owls and gopher tortoises. Burrowing owls are considered endangered, threatened, or of special concern in nine U.S. states. Unlike other owls they are not strictly nocturnal and are active during the day. They make their nests in underground burrows, which are dug out by ground squirrels and they prefer open grasslands. Burrowing owls are protected by the federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Gopher tortoises are listed as a threatened species in Florida. They have been hunted for meat, run over by vehicles, and sold as pets but the greatest blow to their population has been the destruction of their habitat. I'm glad I got to see them safely protected here. It was nice to see people of all ages taking delight in the planes and wildlife. The Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) did an amazing job. There is so much room for parking or ride your bike in and leave it in one of the racks. Pack a picnic and stay for awhile. This is such a cool spot for free fun in Boca Raton.

Yelp
Cool new airport observation area at the Boca airport in the shadow of the FAU stadium. The is plenty of parking in the lot. There were a few families with young children there during my visit. It is a great view of the run way and you can hear the control tower as planes land and take off. There is a wide walking path with benches and informational signage around it. There are canopies providing a bit of shade and coverage from the hot Florida sun. Your visit can last so short or long as you want it.
