What an amazing dining experience! Food was so flavourful and well presented.. blew us away! Our server, Jeremy, put service to a whole new level and really made our whole evening. Very knowledgeable suggestions and descriptions of dishes and great conversation while providing memorable service. We can’t wait to return asap!

Had the best night here! From the second we walked in, it felt like something special. The host took our coats and walked us through to a cozy little dining room in the back—it just had that warm, welcoming vibe. Our waitress was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which we tweaked. And wow—every dish we ordered just kept getting better. It totally amped up our excitement for Spanish food. Honestly, it was the perfect intro if you’re new to it. The space itself is beautiful—stylish but still super comfortable. A big family came in partway through, but the ambiance held strong. Best part? I got to share it all with my best friend. Great food, great company, and just an all-around amazing night. Can’t wait to go back!

You would have never guessed that you would find the best Spanish Tapas restaurant in a small town near Kingston, but Bocado is the absolute best. Hands down, best Sangria I have ever had in Canada. Every dish we ate was phenomenal and we capped off the evening with the churro, what a meal. 10/10 and highly recommend.

The culinary experience was truly exceptional, offering a delightful array of small plates. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, showcasing a mastery of the art of gastronomy. The staff's attentiveness and professionalism enhanced the dining atmosphere, creating a welcoming environment. Furthermore, the overall ambiance contributed to a memorable experience, making it a place to revisit. It was an enjoyable experience overall.

We had an amazing time at Bocado! We ordered the tasting menu for a friend’s bachelorette party, and it was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff were all super friendly and attentive, and the service was fast. They accommodated absolutely every dietary preference at our table of 8. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. They also had amazing wine choices! My personal favorites were the paella, the dates, and the banoffe dessert, but honestly, everything was amazing! A special shoutout to Jeremy for being such a great server!

Truly a gem. Service was excellent. Options were many and the menu was well explained. We are lighter eaters so we chose 5 tapas to share. The mushroom dish was exquisite. The sauce was a perfect balance of flavours . We loved the tomato with manchego on toast. The tuna dish was perfect even without the crisps. We saved room for dessert. It did not disappoint

A delicious meal that lives up to the hype! Every dish was solid, namely the octopus and I really liked the dessert we ordered, the churro and the sourdough ice cream. Would definitely want to try again nice time we visit!

Bocado is a wonderful Spanish tapas restaurant in the heart of downtown Picton and Prince Edward County. I booked this place for my 12 year wedding anniversary. I recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. We were early for our reservation and the hostess was able to give us a table. There are 2 dining rooms with different themes. The front room has a beautiful bar beside the open air kitchen. The dining area has a nice bright rustic ambiance. Definitely, a great place for date night. The rear dining room has a lounge feel. The light is dimmed and tables have candlelights. There's nice lounge music playing here as well. Now for the food. The menu is divided into 3 sections: Tapas del bar - small dishes to share and sample some curated Spanish delicacies. Grande provides a selection of main course entrees. Paella is a Valencian rice dish that is great for sharing and served on a large cast iron skillet. We ordered the jamon croquetas. The croquetas were served with pickles and garlic aioli. They are delicate and packed with flavor. The second tapas we ordered was the Albacore tuna served with bulgur cracker. The dish was esthetically pleasing and we really enjoying the green liquid sauce. Very impressive dish. For our main we decided to share the seafood paella which consisted of Argentina red shrimps, organic salmon, and mussels. The rice was flavorful and we love the crispy rice on the bottom of the skillet. This dish checked all the boxes in flavor, presentation, and texture. We finished our meal with the grand finale: Spanish Churro. This is not your regular churro. This was shaped like a cinamon bun and you have two delightful dipping sauces - dolce de leche and dark chocolate. This was by far the best churro I've ever had. Overall, the experience was exceptional and I recommend this place if you are looking to try some elevated Spanish cuisine. The server was attentive and provided advice on how to eat each dish. The prices are on the higher-end so plan on spending about $50-$75 per person.

Yelp
Delightful atmosphere, great tasting food, and amazing staff. The quality of food was great from the appetizers to the main star, the Paella. Was recommended to order 4-6 small tapas, one large, and a paella which ended up being a lot of food. A solid menu overall. For starters, we got the 3 kinds of meat charcuterie, Atun, croquettes, cauliflower, and galacian octopus. They all tasted amazing with the highlights being the perfectly tender octopus and the creamy croquettes. The cauliflower had a perfect char which paired well with the sauce and the atun was a high quality tuna. The paella came out to be slightly on the sweater side which went well with the duck, tho we did wish there was more duck to match the price point of the dish. The churro however was massively disappointing, it was very showy but not the greatest. It was too thin thus making it taste slightly overcooked and too crsipy rather than fluffy. The dark chocolate sauce however was perfectly rich and not too sweet.

Yelp
Excellent dishes that follow the Spanish tapas style cuisine. Obviously not 100% authentic but worth a visit. Very popular especially in summer season and a reservation is recommended. Wine selection good but like all Canada]ian restaurants the price markup is now excessive. Beer might be a good alternative on a hot day. The Patatas Bravas & Sauce not an accurate replica but admittedly was really tasty and good. Cochinillo Asado was PEC style and not what you'd get in Spain however very tasty. My third visit in recent years. Having lived in Spain for 6 years and visit frequently so Inappreciate the real McCoy It does make a concerted effort to provide a Taste of Spain. Service was good and attentive. Ambiance is rear section lacking but seems vibrant in the main part. Background conversation killing thumping monotonous elevator music rather annoying and for fine diners likely extremely annoying.

Yelp
Wow! Absolutely blown away by this place. I was looking for a nice place for dinner in Prince Edward County and was struggling to choose between Bocado and another popular local steak place. I chose Bocado after seeing a review that said Bocado rivals even the best Spanish restaurants in downtown Toronto. Quite frankly, after trying it out for myself, I feel exactly the same way. The food was incredible. Every single dish we ordered blew us away. The service was exceptional as well. Professional, polite, attentive. I had to inquire how Bocado came to be so exquisite being in a rather small town. From what I gathered from the server the chef has in fact a great deal of experience and has worked in a popular Spanish restaurant group in Toronto. Having eaten at restaurants from that group in downtown Toronto, I wouldn't be lying if I said that I think Bocado took that experience and made it even better. If you are in town and want to go out for a nice meal. Stop searching now, you've found the best spot in town. An added bonus is that it is located right in the center of the town, so you can walk around and appreciate the stores nearby as well to soak in the full Price Edward County vibe.

Yelp
This tapas place was highly recommended by all the locals and tourists alike. We made a dinner reservation for Wednesday night, which is one of the quieter days of the week. We had a prime spot in the front of the restaurant, which had a lovely ambience. Food wise, we ordered a selection of tapas for two people, including the atun, coliflor and fifth town skipping stone. The sauce on the atun was delicious (definitely a heavy cilantro taste). All great dishes with lots of flavour and variety. For dessert, we had the churro and sourdough ice cream. We had inquired about the sourdough ice cream to our server and they recommended it as a delicious option. Yet, we could not taste the full sourdough flavour, then found out from our server that they had never tried it. Definitely reserve in advance if you can, as this place fills up fast! Great for sharing tapas with a few friends.

Yelp
It was a boisterous Saturday night, in otherwise sleepy Picton. Began with the dates wrapped in Iberrico ham. Yummy! This was followed by the tuna sashimi with a lovely cilantro/basil/jalapeno oil. The oil was excellent (so delicious - scooped up as much as possible), but the fish quality wasn't sashimi grade. Then came the ensalada verde and the octopus. The salad was enlivened by some pickled raisins, with a nice lite tasty dressing. Mixed the octopus in, because it was lacking in oomph. The octopus also came with some small disks of potatoes in a cream sauce. The last round of dishes were the shrimp and asparagus. The shrimp was just OK, nothing memorable. The asparagus, which came with a piece of crispy of Iberrrico ham, egg yolk and parmesan, was richly delicious. A nice ending to a good meal. Tried all the wines by the glass. The reds were all European and decent accompaniments to the food.

Yelp
Went to dinner during a winery weekend with the girls and decided to treat ourselves. Our fave were these stuffed dates called Dátiles. Everything was delicious and full of Flavour. The price is on the HIGHER end but between 4ppl we didn't pay a crazy amount.

Yelp
The staff and hosts were really friendly and nice. My big issue is the cost and value... charging 62$ for vegetarian paella was a lot consider the size of the dish. The same goes for 9$ for a slice of sourdough and tomato that is cut into 2. Because we were 4 we paid 18$ for Pan con Tomato...which personally is very overpriced. I think the restaurant is a great space and the crowd is lovely but I personally wouldn't go back unless things were a bit less costly. We also ordered the cod and it was ok. The portion was a thinner cut than I'm usually accustomed to getting but the lemon butter sauce was yummy. We asked for more bread for that, but also realized after when we got the bill that we got charged for that as well. Personally if a place is charging that much for the Grande and Paella dishes the bread should be included. Having eaten at other Spanish tapas places I'd suggest making the paella portions smaller to charge a price more easy to stomach or really giving a larger dish. In the end, we got 2 appetizer, 1 grande, 1 paella, and the bread with tomato and the meal cost 270$ with tip. We were a party of 4, 2 kids 2 adults....

Yelp
Tasty tapas in PEC! One of my favourite meals while visiting. I'd say the quality and flavours were on par with Bar Raval and Isabel in Toronto. We ordered Ensalada de Romana, Straciatella, Pan con Anchovy, Jamon Serrano, Croquetas de Bellota, Conchinillo, and Churros. All were super yummy, fresh and flavourful. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Always amazing! Service and food is one of the best in the area. If unsure of what to choose, ask the staff and they are happy to guide you.

Yelp
Everything was recommended to us and we absolutely had no regrets. Went on a Tuesday evening with no reservation and was seated in the back to fit our stroller. Our waiter was great and the food he suggested was perfect. Have no idea what we ordered, just took the pictures and enjoyed every last bite. The restaurant was quite big with many tables and I would definitely go back again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
After reading all the glowing reviews, we booked a dinner at Bocado, but ended up leaving disappointed. It's a decent tapas place and servers are very nice, but certainly not 4.7 stars. The wine list was mediocre, cocktails - average at best, tapas - very small (needed 4-5 per person at the very least - we left hungry), some tapas were solid taste wise (octopus, ceviche), but others - not so great (cheeses, dates). The staff were excellent - attentive and prompt, but that alone is not enough.

Yelp
This place is a gem. Specializing in Spanish Tapas style dishes to suit all tastes. Having spent 6 years living in Spain I have considerable experience of long nights in Tapas Bars. Frankly, I was surprised to find that the tapas were superb and the quality surpassed my expectations. I'm not not going focus on the dishes myself and my partner had except to say there is much to offer the most discerning diner. Find out for yourself! We had Estrella Lager from Barcelona as the wine prices were crazy expensive....the only downside! so no 5 stars. I will return on my next visit to Prince Edward County! We ate on the Main Street outside patio likely because we did not have a reservation. The interior looks pretty cool! Staff were very efficient and exceptionally attentive and helpful.
