I went by myself after getting dropped off near Templo de San Cayetano. Entry fee was 60 pesos and the interior courtyard is very beautiful. A tour guy walked up to me and presented the tour in spanish (which I probably only understood 50%). I was able to learn the history of San Ramon, the mines, and walk down into steep shaft - very interesting information.

Beautiful old mine that gives tours and some history. Most of the mine is blocked off for safety so you only get a very small sense of the mine that used to be there. Grounds are very nice and upkeep is on par. Old mine bar is very well decorated.

I recently had the opportunity to visit a historic location that was once a site for mining. The tour provided a glimpse into the area's past and the importance of mining in its history. However, I must admit that for me personally, one visit was sufficient. The tour was quite small and didn't offer much beyond the initial exploration. One notable aspect of the tour was the presence of stairs that went down to great depths. It is worth noting that these stairs may pose a challenge for individuals who are overweight or have difficulty breathing. The descent can feel quite long, and returning back up can be strenuous for those who are not physically fit. This is something to keep in mind and may serve as a warning before embarking on this tour. While the historical significance of the location was interesting, I can't say that it left a lasting impression on me. For others who have a passion for history or mining, the experience may hold more value. However, considering the limited nature of the tour, I personally wouldn't prioritize revisiting this location.

I didn’t read about this mine or watch the photos, so I didn’t realize there’s a tour which apparently shows more extensive parts of the mine. You could go down yourself but apparently the best parts are only accessible via the tour - I wish they would post signs in English to give people heads up about the tour.

The good. The place is nice. Its a small central garden with the entrace to the mine where you can entry and descend some steps, the bar and a representation of landlord store called Tienda de Raya. The bad The bathroom has a fee !!! 10 pesos. The guide people work for tips. In my experience when I paid the entrace for 8 people just received one ticket, then I asked the rest and the lady said the tour guide has know that the ticket was for 8 persons, so the tour guide checked and he said that the ticket was in order and valid for 10 people... so the cashier kept the money of those non-used tickets for share with the rest of the workers? and also charge the use of the bathroom and the guide remarks the tip income as only profit for them

We were here as part of a wedding weekend. This is an old mine turned to a beautiful event space. There's a small museum explaining more about the old mine, and there is also a short tour down to the old mine you can take, be careful of the slippery steps! We had some great BBQ and drinks, it was a blast.
