Bocawina Rainforest Resort & Adventures

Absolutely brilliant experience. Went for a beautiful hike to the first waterfall. Easy to follow trails and wished we could have explored more. Had a lovely lunch in the restaurant then did the 9 platform ziplining course. Hands down one of the best experiences we had in Belize. Incredible views, ziplining through the rainforest canopy and a brilliant course. The guides were outstanding. They made sure we were safe but went that extra mile to make sure we had the best experience (taking videos, getting us to try hand picked cohune and generally just having fun with us). I can not recommend this experience now highly. We wished we had had more time to do more adventures. I'm sure they would have also been fantastic. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. Can't recommend a visit more!

Excellent experience! Our guides were incredibly helpful, supportive, and encouraging from start to finish. This excursion is perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking and is an adrenaline junkie. It was a lot of fun, but definitely not for the faint of heart. Be sure to wear plenty of bug spray, dress comfortably, and be prepared to sweat. Most importantly—stay hydrated! Overall, an exciting and memorable adventure that we’re glad we did.

We did the 9 run zipline with guides Ronny and Roberto and we had a fantastic time! We were with another couple so it was a small group which was nice. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable about the plants and birds, it felt like a bonus nature/birding tour. They helped us all get on the ziplines safely and there were so many safety features, I felt really safe. There is about 20 minutes of uphill hiking at the beginning that was a bit strenuous for the older couple with us but after that, it was mostly downhill zipping. We also hiking lower Bocawina falls after. So gorgeous. An easy hike. We only passed 1 other person on the trail and we saw a few really gorgeous birds. Worth the time to see the falls. Bocawina is down a long dirt road, be prepared for this to slow down your drive time. Also note that you need cash for the park entrance free.

I've been here 3x. The zip lining is a nice safe feeling experience but a bit pricey in my opinion. Still doable and still enjoyable. But here's where I come to a 2 star review. The last time we visited (party of 8) to do ziplining, 3nof us decided not to attend. Wenwent tonthe restaurant onsite sat down for a bite. We were informed the kitchen was closed and breakfast was over. So instead we ordered a mimosa, a mixed drink, and a coke (no proces posted). The. We were offered a bowl of chicken soup (must have been left overs) half way thru they offer a left over breakfast burrito (eggs beans and cheese). Went to pay and was told 70dollars. I put up 80bz. Then they told me it was 70$ US. Absolutely astonished at the price of left over food and 2 drinks. Sadly I won't be returning here again

We had a great day of adventure with rappelling Antelope falls and zipline tour. We did the rappelling after multiple days of rain so the water was really flowing and was a bit more intense than expected, but loved it. The whole family had a great time and the guides were very professional and personable.

The bugs may be a surprise to some but it is the Rainforest, after all, be prepared. Recommendation is leggings or long pants to protect. The staff works extremely hard to build a lifelong experience. I have no complaints but I do have memories. The discussion culture and survival. You will face some fears and survive. You will grow through your interactions. Be present and open to learning. I did some trail running, canoed an awesome cave, went hiking, rappelling down a waterfall, zip lined the forest, and ate freshest chocolate in the world. None of this would have been possible without the amazing Guides Roberto and Herson. They protect and guide as you learn their World and culture. Some of the most beautifully kind people I’ve ever met.

We stayed at the place to do rappeling over the Antelope falls and the zip lining. The rapelling part was a bit more adventurous but very doable for a generally physically fit person, regardless of age (we are early 60's). Zip lining was an eazy fun. The company provides good equipment and abide high saefty standards.

We came up for the day. 5 of us went ziplining and had the best guides. Carlos was our sender and did an amazing job educating us and making us feel comfortable and enjoy our selves. Thank u Amillio for making sure we got to the other end safely as well. We then grabbed a bite at the cafe and had great food before heading to explore the rainforest. We definitely could of used another day or 2 up in this area. It was so pretty!!
