Bocca Coal Fired Bistro

Met family here for dinner before a show, great variety of food I thought. Chicken parm, Margherita pizza, was really good! Maybe pricey, but maybe not for this area, we aren't from here. Service was great! Also noticed they have specials. So check that out. Thank you!

Disappointed at Service (waitress & bartender Gail (thumbs down)). Excited to see your restaurant was open today (Monday 1/23). Bar was full, to be expected. Sat at a table & looking forward to having a couple of drinks & something to eat. Gail was Attentive to the bar patrons, bar tables not so much. Waitress would just disappear. We get locals are important but there should be kindness & a considerate attitude towards newbies! Ashame because the food was good. We will not be back...

Had a wonderful experience at Bocca last night. Thoroughly enjoyed Bob Sterling and the Bocca boys during Elaine Trulli's party, which was so much fun.. they were so talented. The service was top-notch, accommodating all those people. The food, the sandwiches and the pizza was very good. Great music, fun people and welcoming atmosphere. I'll be back

I don’t usually do reviews but I just really needed to say something. The food here is straight up not good. We ordered wings which came out bone dry with barely ang meat on them. I did order the sauce on the side but I didn’t think that would affect the wing. We both ordered two steak frites, which took a while to come out (we ordered it medium, not sure how long it takes to cook, so no complaints.) When it did come out it smelled odd, almost tangy. I’ve had steak frites before and this was nothing like it. I understand all restaurants cook differently but this smell was just wrong. Now the taste, the only good thing about this dish was the fries. The vegetables it came with tasted like burnt plastic, I couldn’t even swallow it. The meat had little to no flavor. The only thing I tasted was the char from the grill. I had to dump salt and pepper all over our steaks to make them at least edible. However, the FOH was very nice. As we were getting our entrees it started getting busy so we weren’t able to say anything. Just be careful with what you’re ordering.

Bocca is easily one of our favorite spots in Margate! Whether you’re sitting in the dining room for a nice meal or grabbing a spot in the bar area to watch a game, the atmosphere is always spot on. You can’t go wrong with their coal-fired pizzas—the crust has that perfect char—but the pasta dishes are surprisingly authentic and high-quality for a bistro. The Bocca Chopped Salad is a must-start, and the service is consistently fast and friendly even when they are slammed. Great local gem!

Update July 2023 Still a great spot. Everything is delicious. They have a lot of different choices on the menu, so there is something for everyone. ------- (We got take out so I think some things would be better in the restaurant) First of all, for 4 people they got the ENTIRE order correct down to the condiments. The crab clusters were cooked to perfection. The french fries were excellent as were the waffle fries. The salmon was tasty but the "wilted spinach" was very well cooked on lots of garlic and capers. It was not what I was expecting given the name, but it was ok. I think most people like it that way but I prefer it fresh, bright green and wilted. The burger was great. Applewood bacon and cheddar. We were glad they had a few vegan-friendly options. Definitely will go back. Great to have such a great neighborhood spot.

I ordered dinner for my family on 1/4/26. We ordered 2 pork chop dinners, a beef ragu pasta, and 2 soups. The order was a disaster from the start with items being left out of the order which required a second trip to the restaurant to remedy their mistakes. In addition, although carbonara pasta was on the menu, the restaurant stated they could not create it because they did not have cream. The pork chops in both dinner orders well were severely overcooked, and the pasta meal had been microwaved to the point where the noodles were a pile of mush. I suggested my daughter contact the restaurant and request replacement meals. However, she was reluctant to do so and because I was actually paying for dinner, I decided to contact the restaurant manager the following morning and requested that the restaurant replace all three meals with meals that were eatable. I spoke to restaurant manager, Alyssa who stated that she also spoke with the general manager, and they reported that since the incident happened 14 hours earlier, they would not be able to accommodate my request. I told the manager that this was unacceptable, And the fact that they were reluctant to make right on a situation that was at their fault was a lack of integrity on the restaurants part. The fact that I had to initiate a complaint is onerous in and of itself. Secondly, the fact that the manager used a 14 hour delay as justification for not replacing meals that were badly cooked by his restaurant is shameful. They were reluctant to take any responsibility for meals that were badly cooked and presented as entrées by their restaurant. Therefore, I advise anyone considering to have dinner at this restaurant pay strict attention to the number of “1” star reviews that this restaurant has and if I could give them a dozen zero reviews, I would. Businesses that lack integrity need to be held accountable. I am asking everyone who experiences shabby food at this restaurant to please leave a one star reviewS so that other patrons do not waste their time going to a restaurant that apparently can cook only pizza.

Catered for a large group of guys on NYE - they are so consistent and reliable, whether it’s dining in for 2 people or tons of food for 30-40 men. Their ownership/management goes above and beyond. I’ve been here when they’re swamped in the high season, and when they’re one of the few restaurants open during the “slow”’ off season months (which means they’re literally always busy). They’re always willing to support the local community. We love Bocca ❤️
