They were very nice and the soups were good. But we didn't like the beef fillet (tasted old) and the pesto pasta. Maybe the other options in the menu are better

If I could, I’d give this place 4.5 stars. We didn’t research it beforehand — we were in a rush to eat and saw they had space, so we decided to give it a try. Honestly, we were very pleasantly surprised! We started with a caprese salad, which was fresh and good. The tagliatelle al tartufo was absolutely delicious (buttery with real pieces of truffle), the tagliatelle ai funghi was also excellent, and the pici cacio e pepe was very tasty as well. All the pastas were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We noticed that other tables received a basket of bread, but we didn’t — unfortunately we realized too late to ask for it. For dessert, the tiramisu was very good and the crème brûlée didn’t really taste like a classic crème brûlée, but it was still delicious. Overall, a wonderful surprise and a place I’d happily recommend.

Nice osteria offering good food. The menu consists almost solely of Tuscan dishes. They have great tagliata di manzo (sliced beef), wild boar stew, beef stew, pici (typical Tuscan pasta) cacio e pepe, tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, and tuna steak. The dishes were a bit salty, but we didn't mind because everything was high quality. The bill was ~200 euro for 7 people, including a bottle of Tuscan red wine, which I think was reasonable.

Google
Such a great find in Siena. Food was amazing and the service was outstanding. We came here with a large group and enjoyed every minute of our meal. They also have the best music -80s. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and the memories during our visit.

Found by chance, we were looking for a quiet place for lunch. The parmigiana was one of the best I've tried. I really enjoyed the different flavour of the sage and almond pesto with the aldente pici.

Google
nice restaurant in the center of siena with a characteristic atmosphere. the staff is really nice and friendly and the price quite low. the food is typical and really good. there are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes available and allergens are marked on the menù. the staff is not really prepared.

Google
The most horrible dinner experience in Siena. Chicken supreme - yesterday’s meal heated in microwave, mostly bones and skin, chewy, visibly old. No gravy, no spices, not even salt, tasted like cooked shoe sole. Potatoes the same. Spicy beef stew without being spicy. Unwelcoming service staff, dirty clothes, even with an open trousers fly (!).

Google
Cute and a bit hidden place with very attentive and kind staff. Dryaged T-bone was a perfection

Yelp
Great place to eat when you walked around too much and have missed prime lunch time in Italy! The food was wonderful and the service very kind. Restrooms needed cleaning.

Yelp
A popular spot among locals, the owner knows he doesn't need to cater to tourists, so be polite and trust the recommendations and you're in for a real treat! We were amazed by the fresh baked fish and veggies...!!

Yelp
Terrible service. The owner is extremely rude with tourist. I came to school here so my face was familiar during that time. I came back to eat there a couple of years later and he refused the sit us multiple times. Good food. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

Yelp
Terrible service!! I am traveling in Siena and had been told the food at this place is absolutely amazing, I went to the restaurant and the owner was terribly mean, as soon as we came in he said he had no tables, we begged, ask for a reservation later and finally after leaving decided to stop by and try again, once again his answer to everything was NO! Seconds later a group of locals came in and he offered a table right away(2diffetent groups), this man does not like foreigners, he is super rude, don't waste your time trying!

Yelp
I lived in Siena for 8 years and this was by far my favorite restaurant (been there ~20 times). I have dinner there every time I return for a visit and the most recent visit was stellar. Their pici cacio e pepe with truffle shavings was absolutely heavenly. I also love their pork loin with caramelized onions. They always stock the best value Chianti Classico wines and are, not surprisingly, quite well informed about Tuscan wines. During my many visits, I often notice American tourists who make no attempt to speak Italian, behave in a loud and obtrusive manner and expect the sort of attention they might get in the States. Sorry, but if you want to be treated well, then respect the country and customs--and learn some basic Italian! When I visit with foreigners, we have always been treated very well because we show the respect they deserve. BTW: I am not, nor do I even resemble an Italian local!

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. The food was excellent. The service was excellent - not typical slow European service but thoughtful, mindful and considerate. We ordered three different dishes (fish and two pasta dishes) and two different desserts for four people. We would definitely order again and visit again on our next trip to Siena. Price was very reasonable considering the neighborhood we are in.

Yelp
We were hesitant about trying this place at first because of the 3.5 star rating on Yelp. Our Airbnb host recommended it, however, and we just happened upon it as we were walking around. I am so glad we did. I'm not sure what the people who left unfavorable reviews were thinking but this has been one of the best meals of our 2 week tour if Italy. Not only were the portions generous and prices reasonable, but the polenta and sausage antipasti was amazing, and I will ask the owner for the recipe because I've never had anything like it. My husband had a daily special, a seared steak with arugula, it was one of the best he's had in a while, juicy and cooked perfectly. I think that fact that we were the only non-Italians also says a lot. The atmosphere was also more relaxed and less formal that where we are the previous night; we did not feel underdressed in traditional tourist attire. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal that may be a bit non-conventional for Siena.
