Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Woodbridge, this place is a gem! From the moment you walk in, you feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere, almost like stepping into Italy itself. The pasta is fresh and homemade, the sauces are perfectly balanced, and every dish is full of flavor. The staff is attentive, friendly, and truly make you feel like family. I especially loved the seafood and pasta – it was absolutely outstanding! The wine list also pairs beautifully with the menu. Whether it’s for a cozy dinner, a special celebration, or just a night out, this restaurant is a must-visit. Definitely my best Italian dining experiences in the GTA! My wife ordered soup and a few other items through Uber Eats. I happened to be nearby, so I went to pick up the order myself instead of having it delivered. When I arrived, the restaurant was completely empty. I noticed a sign at the front stating that Uber drivers should pick up orders at the back, which is understandable and clearly their normal procedure. However, the moment I stepped inside — without any greeting or question — I was told, “Go around the back.” I wasn’t asked whether I was an Uber driver or a customer picking up my own order. I explained right away that I was there to pick up an order I personally placed online. Still, the interaction left me uncomfortable. The issue wasn’t the policy itself, but the immediate assumption and lack of basic communication. Being directed away without a simple question or acknowledgment left a bad impression, and unfortunately that experience overshadowed the food. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing Italian restaurant! The food is seriously the best, everything tastes fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. From the pasta to the sauces, it’s all top quality. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and really good food. Easily one of the best Italian spots around. Highly recommend! 🍝🇮🇹

This is our favourite Italian restaurant. Absolutely love everything they cook here. The owners and staff are fabulous people. The menu is already great, but they also have specials on the weekend. We live in Cambridge, but eating here is definitely worth the drive. The chef is accommodating if you request a substitution. Everything is made fresh. Attached with this review are several photos of the food. I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Their lamb chop was cooked perfectly and I really loved their clam spaghetti with white sauce.

The food here is tasty and clearly made with care, with good presentation and fresh ingredients. The pasta and mains have nice flavor, and the atmosphere feels comfortable and welcoming. Service is pleasant, and everything comes out on time. Still, there’s room for improvement, a few dishes could use a bit more seasoning or refinement to really stand out. Overall, it’s a good spot with potential to be great with a little more attention to detail.

We’re visiting Canada and went to check out this place — the food completely blew us away. We simply had to come back. The atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food clearly show it’s truly first-class.

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was unbelievably slow, and when our food finally arrived, it was cold and clearly rushed. The server had a horrible attitude the entire time—no greeting, lots of eye-rolling, and acted like we were a burden just for asking basic questions. Any request was met with annoyance, and we were made to feel uncomfortable instead of welcomed. To top it off, we waited forever just to get the bill, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. No apology, no effort to fix anything. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else.

I was here for work. Found the place on yelp and decided to take a chance. This was heavenly. Had warm bread slices and a pepper mixture brought out to start. Then moved on to a half Ceasar salad. Not too much dressing and just the right amount of Parmesean to croutons ratio. Had the tortellini. Perfect portion. The lemon tart took it over the edge. Slightly warmed, creamy, nutty, perfection. The staff was attentive and friendly. Highly, highly recommend this place. My next time in this area, I will be back.

Five-star Italian comfort with a little swagger (and a lot of flavor) Bocconcino Ristorante in Woodbridge is the kind of place that reminds you why Italian food is pure joy when it's done right. Warm, welcoming vibe, and everything feels like it comes out of a kitchen that actually cares. We started with the Calamari Fritti (fried calamari) and it was 10/10: perfectly crisp, tender inside, and paired with an amazing spicy marinara that brought just the right kick without stealing the show. For my main, the Ravioli ai Porcini was the headline act: ravioli stuffed with ricotta, swimming in a creamy homemade truffle sauce with seared mushrooms . Rich, earthy, silky, and balanced, the kind of dish that makes you slow down and pay attention. Also 10/10. If you're in Woodbridge and want authentic Italian done with confidence, Bocconcino is absolutely worth it. I'll be back... hungry. No pictures needed...go get you some!!! Unsuspecting hidden gem If you want an authentic Italian experience this will make your tastebuds sing! I have been here twice while visiting from another country and the food is so fresh and delicious that you feel like you're eating in a little gem in Italy. I will be back in June & will definitely be having dinner here again while in town.

Such a delicious and heartwarming restaurant!! The food is absolutely amazing - homemade pasta can't get any better! You can tell every item is made with love and care, and that's something I truly value! This place also has the best tiramisu I've ever tried! :) The staff and owner are genuine people and always make me feel as part of a family!! They also have very pretty paintings all around the restaurant which adds to the great ambiance!

My wife and I were recently in Ontario to visit friends and had a night to ourselves. We found this wonderful gem and are so glad we did. We started out with the calamari, of course. I had the oso bucco, which was wonderful. My wife's dish was also excellent. It's a small intimate place and we wound up striking up a conversation with the folks at the table next to us. If you're in the area give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing good from start to finish. Came here with my business partner. It's on an industrial street, hidden gem. You know the food is going to be good when the setup is like that. The tiramisu and hazelnut cakes were sooooo light.

We were interested in trying this place when we visited Toronto as the Yelp reviews were so high and...we agree! It's a very traditional Italian restaurant with white tablecloths, and still serving a number of veal dishes as well as lamb chops. My wife ordered the lamb chops and liked it. I enjoyed my food as well, and the chocolate hazelnut cake for dessert was fantastic. The service was excellent. At the end of our meal, I actually wanted to hug our server(!) but did not.

Bocconcino is a small Italian restaurant along Highway 7 in Vaughan. We had called this place on numerous occasions during the pandemic since we had a gift certificate. Unfortunately it was closed, but thankfully it had reopened as restrictions were lifted. Although the restaurant was open for dine-in, we ordered for pickup. The food here is ridiculously delicious. My favorite dish was the ravioli ai porcini. The raviolis were lightly stuffed with cheese, but what stole the show was the porcini and sauce. It tasted incredible and I could definitely taste the truffle oil. The linguine pescatore was quite tasty as well. Perfectly al dente pasta in marinara sauce with mussels, clams, and octopus. I hope you like linguine because there was a lot. The shrimp was my second favorite dish. There were 5 large shrimps in this dish. The shrimps were perfectly cooked and the garlic sauce was flavorful. The grilled calamari was my least favorite of the 4. It was a little underdone for my liking, but I can see how people would like this dish. We had tiramisu for dessert. It's a pretty huge square and quite shareable. There's a lot of powder on top. Very tasty and a perfect way to end dinner. I was stuffed.

We were at Bocconcino last night (3 of us) for a business dinner. We had been there 2 years ago and were dying to come back. It is such a great place with the owner husband and wife doing a great job. Nothing we ordered other than the calamari was on the menu. The specials all sounded too good to pass up. We ordered a cheese/meat platter to start with great Parmesan cheese, one of us had rabbit, I had calf liver and the 3rd person veal Parmesan. ALL excellent and great timing. Most people were known to the owners and very friendly. If you want a great place for true Italian and service go here. You will not be disappointed. When I come back to the area I will always take people here.

Amazing food and service! My family stopped by this cute restaurant after a long flight. We have multiple dietary restrictions and in general can be a little picky but this restaurant was able to accommodate everyone. Our server was very kind and provided helpful recommendations for what to order. I ordered the gnocchi and it was perfect!

Excellent all around, waiter Ash was super friendly, knew the menu well. My veal shank was beyond amazing my wife had gnocchi with truffle sauce was also amazing. Compliments to the chef cheers

Off the beaten path Italian restaurant. The service was exceptional and the decor was ok nothing spectacular. Food was fresh to order. I had the seafood pasta that was fair. Tomato based but nothing special. The calamari was fresh and crispy. Also ordered tiramisu to go but forgot to take a pic that was pretty good. Overall I would recommend.

I hardly ever review anything, but I just had to. What an extraordinary experience. Everything was perfect down to the music piped in. Run, don't walk here to get one of the best meals you'll ever have!

Went there for my birthday dinner Saturday night. Small intimate restaurant. We ordered the calamari fritti - which came out fairly quick (right out from the fryer cuz it hella hot) and we also had the "Vitello ai Funghi" it comes with 2 pieces so we asked if they can make two separate plates ( which they did!) and we also ordered Tortellini alla Bolognese. At the end of our meals, they gave these small bite size chocolate ice cream covered bells. The menu is worded in Italian - but I had my bf translate some for me. Suggestion, it's a fairly small place- If your going on a weekend definitely make a reservation ahead of time to avoid any disappointment.

If you want home cooked Italian food this is the place to go!!! I rarely order Pasta of any kind unless I am in Italy. But I was in the mood of Italian and this was the perfect spot. Service was A-1....he basically told us what ever you want we will make it!! How ever and what ever you want in your pasta. So I asked for meatballs with Chicken with a meat sauce and cream sauce....and there it was....exactly how I asked. I love spice and can handle almost everything. I am not sure what he brought us but a day later I am still feeling it!!! Great experience and I will be back for more.... I forgot to mention that we started with friend calamari and it was as good as the greeks make it!!! lol...just had to throw that in.

I'm a bit surprised why there aren't more reviews of this place. Maybe because the restaurant is not easily found, hidden behind hwy 7 in what is mostly a small office area. You wouldn't be caught causally walking down this street and go "let's try this place". Or maybe because the families that come here don't Yelp, or they want to keep this place to themselves. Whatever the case is, I wandered around, found them, and now they're exposed. Restaurant Not a lot of parking in front of it, but enough surrounding it. Pretty small inside, with a couple small tables and a couple large tables. Maybe between 10-15 at most. Service 2-3 waitresses/waiters. Menu is in Italian and they will walk you through it. They aren't pushy and will not rush you. You get plenty of time to decide, and enjoy your meal and company in between each dish. It feels like you are dining at an upscale restaurant but with a homey touch. The staff are personable. They will have a drink with you. It does feel like family. Food Grilled calamari is recommended. Easy to cut through and eat. A light charred taste from the grill to give it flavor. Splash on some lemon to enhance it all. Veal comes covered in mushroom sauce. That veal is perfect. Mushroom sauce is not strong so it doesn't overpower your dish. It's also not salty like some of the others I've had. Vegetable sides are way too soft and overcooked for my liking. That's my only complaint. Sausage penne pasta was also really good. Tomato sauce was just right. Penne pasta was cooked to perfection. I think I've said too much.. keep this place only for those in the know. 5 stars..

I have been there twice, great food, ressonably priced. See photos upload for food ordered, liked everything. Liked the Tiramisu the most. The dessert menu is different everyday so they might not have it. Be sure to ask... ( and yes I have a sweet-tooth just so you know )

Great service and quiet little spot that is perfect for a dinner where you plan to sit for some time and chat away. Food here is fresh, delicious and the menu is simple which is perfect!

I love this place. When in Toronto, I make sure to stop by and eat at Bocconcino Ristorante. Nice ambiance, very warm and comforting. Great for dates and also for family gatherings. Easy parking as they have their own private parking lot. As far as I am concerned, coming from the New York City area and having been to Italy, this is probably one of the best and most authentic family-style Italian restaurants around in North America. Dishes of note: 1. Antipasto (Assorted cured meats, peppers, olives, cheeses) 2. Bruschetta 3. Grilled Calamari 4. Any of the Pasta dishes 5. Osso bucco 6. Grilled Leg of Baby/Spring Lamb Excellent service. Maybe because we are familiar with the staff there. Prices are reasonable if you can limit the Wine consumption.

What a great restaurant!! I had the best spaghetti from a restaurant I have ever had and the sauce was defintly the home made. . The place itself was relaxed and the waiters were not pushy very friendly and not stuffy. I have been here on numerous occasions and feel like they appreciate it. I will be going back again.
