A piece of Grand Cayman cultural history. Guides and staff here are so friendly and informative. Get away from 7 mile Beach and come see the "real" Cayman Islands. The pond out back if you can go at a quiet time there was birds, turtles and geckos. Lovely spot.

If you want an alternative to the beach or sea then try and check out this hidden gem. This is the second oldest building on the island and has been lovingly restored to its original look. There is also a lake which is loaded with wildlife. The tour lasts about 45mins and is full of information about the house and families that have lived here. Some of the rooms have been arranged with original furniture and chinaware. I had a 2 year old daughter with me so imagine trying to stop her from touching things. Thankfully they had a toy cat curled up in a little basket which kept her occupied for the most part. If you really want to go off the normal tourist track then please visit this place and support the Cayman Island National Trust.

We were only ones there and got a private tour given by a retired science middle school teacher. Learnt a lot about the history of Cayman Island as well. Good activity if you need a break from beaches and have a car.

A fantastic look into the history of Bodden Town, the life of the Watler family, and of The Cayman Islands in general. John was an amazing tour guide - very knowledgeable, friendly, and obviously loves to share information and exchange ideas. For a science teacher he did a great job playing the role of a historian!

Denise Bodden gives a wonderful tour of Mission House. Her passion for Caymanian History shows when she walks you through the property. After the tour here, you'll find yourself far more knowledgeable about the site, Caymanian history, culture, and life.

It is quite a bit of history here at this historical government house, loaded with artifacts and antiques from a time long gone, not sure on what days you can visit but has quite a bit of history to offer if you’re interested.
