Very happily took a couple of classes. Excellent instructors! The place could be cleaner though especially the changing area and benefit from a reno (a few touches could do wonders here) but I guess as rent is insane in NYC and is hard for studios to survive. Heat is a bit inconsistent. Studio is not smelly which is nice. I appreciated shampoo, conditioner and shower gel being provided.

Great place to practice highly reccomend it Babette was GREAT

I absolutely love Ritual! The classes are all the same format, 50 minutes, starting with meditation, but they always challenge me and the poses and flows are unique each time. The instructors are all fantastic and encouraging and going to a Ritual class feels like doing something really nice for myself like getting a massage. I always feel calm, relaxed, and centered after. The facilities are great, clean, and organized and I like their online booking process as well. Definitely try it out if you like hot yoga!

Although one of the only options for Bikram in the area, for what they charge they need to offer more. Instead of having a properly equipped Bikram studio with central heating, they just use space heaters which does not create the correct effect (esp in the 3rd floor studio). They also overbook classes, overheating the room even more. Lastly, their floor is not Bikram-approved and is bouncy, making balance hard. If they want to be a true Bikram studio, they need to redo their facilities to properly create the sensation of heat and not rely on opening doors/windows constantly because the space heaters create such a suffocating, false heat.

I was a member here for over a decade. Sadly this studio is offering mostly non Bikram classes now. It used to have 90 min classes at least once a day , now the majority are non Bikram classes and only an hour ! The short classes are too short . The teachers plow through them and the postures are not held long enough . Bring back the 90 mins ! They also got rid of many of their teachers .... it’s simply not the same .

I highly recommend this place for hot yoga. The class setup is very calming and bright, with a good amount of space. This is my first tryout and Mark, my yoga teacher, is very attentive and very helpful, kind, and his instructions are top-notch, easy, clear and precise, definitely very experienced and knows what he is doing. I am very impressed!

love wins

Typical NYC yoga factory . Classes are hit or miss . Longtime Bikram practitioner here (over 20 yrs). Some teachers are great , some meh. The heat is also inconsistent, the small room is usually better temperature controlled - avoid the larger room if you like traditional Bikram temps bc its typically not hot enough ... and on occasion i have not sweat there at all . I wish they did more 90 min Bikram classes, they are becoming harder and harder to find. The 60 minute series dilutes the medicine . Overall a solid go to for a drop in , and easy to book online .

It was a fantastic hot yoga studio, clean & hygienic. Kathleen was an excellent instructor. And it doesn’t smell which is rare for a hot yoga studio. Much recommended.

Yelp
I've been a member of bodē nyc for some time now, and I can confidently say their classes are by far the BEST in the city. The entire experience feels like a family, with each instructor bringing their own magic and energy. Aura's classes are transformative--her presence creates such a motivating and uplifting space. Marissa's sculpt classes are next level, giving you the perfect blend of intensity and fun. Lorenza and Kathleen are truly exceptional for yoga, offering sessions that feel like a reset for both body and mind. A special mention goes to Guadalupe at the front desk. She's the sweetest, most calming presence you could ask for when you walk through the door. Her kindness and warmth set the tone for the entire studio experience. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, bodē nyc offers the perfect environment to grow and thrive. It's not just a studio--it's a community I'm so grateful to be part of!

Yelp
A review for pre-covid days, when life was fun. Attended a free hot yoga class, courtesy of Flatiron's "23 Days of Flatiron Cheer" community outreach initiative last winter. That was my first hot yoga class, and I loved it. How would I ever survive attending such an intense breathing class wearing a mask?? IMPOSSIBLE. The experience was intense and cleansing. I was completely drenched in sweat, so be prepared. Our instructor was knowledgeable and I appreciated her explanations for what every pose did for our body. I always want to know the 'why' behind doing things, so I was glad to learn a lot of new information regarding yoga poses that I always took for granted. Class studios and men's changing room are located on the second floor. I accidentally walked into the men's changing room, thinking that was for me. Glad it was empty. The reception and women's changing room are located on the third floor. All clean and tidy, with regular cleaning schedule. Bring a lock to secure your possessions in a locker. I forgot, so I was glad that my stuff was undisturbed. Three showers are available in the women's changing room, so rush right up after the class to claim your spot. I enjoyed that thorough shower after the sweat sesh like never before!

Yelp
"This is not going to be rainbow and butterflies... this is about discipline." This was communicated to me as I checked in for my first hot yoga class! Lyuba was my instructor, for the Original Hot Yoga 75 min class. The steps are clear throughout the class and each pose is repeated several times so don't be worried about catching on! The heat is quite intense, however there are periods where the door may be opened and you can take little breaks whenever, of course, in child's pose. I appreciate that the spots are clearly outlined on the floor so that you are evenly placed and can view yourself in the mirror for the purpose of the pose. If at any time you need a break from the heat, Lyuba sort of indicates feeling free to leave the room for a while as well. They do supply a towel to place on top of your mat to prevent slipping which is nice! :)

Yelp
Eric is a whole vibe. The HIIT class is very hot and very challenging. Showers, lockers available. Mats available to rent. Recommend bringing extra clothes because you will sweat. Will be returning

Yelp
I took a 75-minute hot yoga class at the Flatiron location of Bode NYC. This is like the mid-tier level studio when compared to other yoga studio. It's nothing crazy fancy but not too shabby. The class progressed at a nice pace. Instructor was coherent and I admire his dedication even when he had to wear mask for the entire time in the hot studio. At the time I signed up, there were about 7-8 people already signed up for the class, but it ended up with 10+ people in the room. There were enough space for everyone but it was crowded enough to make me uncomfortable because COVID. I think I'll try to book a class that's earlier in the morning to avoid such crowd next time. With the introduction package, you can borrow yoga mat towel and a small hand towel for free. You need to pay for renting other things like the yoga mat and bath towel (mat was $5, towel was $2, so not too expensive). The locker room is slightly bigger than that of Yoga to the people studio, but it was a little hard to navigate with some people inside. There are total of five shower stalls so I expected that it won't be too busy, but when I got out of the shower, one woman was ready to pounce on that stall so I had to exit really quickly. Also, if you plan on washing your hair, bring your shampoo and conditioner since they only provide body wash.

Yelp
BodeNyc is an amazing studio to practice Bikram in and I will write more about that but before I do I will say BEWARE OF BILLING. Their on-line accounting for some reason is a mess. They have twice charged me for two times for double memberships; they had to reimburse me 800 dollars that thankfully I caught on my credit card. They re-new memberships after you cancel them. I don't know what it is I love Bodenyc but they simply cannot get their accounting straight. I would reccommend monitoring your account closely or just do drop in if you dont want to be double chaged for membership. Membership just doesn't work in my experience and I have been going. on an off for five years. That being said the teachers are amazing, the staff at the desk are super helpful and it is an amazing studio - which is why I keep going back despite the financial wranglings.

Yelp
I seriously believe that yoga can change your whole life. I'm still occasionally struggling with my mental health but whenever I come to bodē specifically with the teacher Kathleen (mentioned this in another review but at their upper east side location!), I just feel so empowered. She's very attentive to the class and brings such an awesome energy that I feel safe and encouraged even when I make mistakes or slip up! I prefer the upper east side location mainly because the staircase here (as you see in the photos), is quite the work out (the studios on the top floor/third), but wherever Kathleen goes I'll go lol no but fr, whichever location you decide to go to I know you will love hot yoga! For beginners, I recommend bringing your own water (preferably in a insulated type of bottle that way the heat doesn't make your water hot!), mat and lock and key just to avoid any extra renting fees etc. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable to stretch around I promise no one will judge you. Also, smile! Yoga can be hard but is so fun and worth it with consistent results. Their classes are $35 individually but you get a one time welcome special of 3 classes for $55. (After that you can decided to do packages etc.).

Yelp
"Dirty yoga" Bikram would endorse this place as it hits you in the face that's it's a capitalist enterprise. Feels like they could step up the cleanliness and facilities. Like A LOT Plus - Most teachers are very good - it's CHEAP - Did I mention it's cheap? Negative - walking up and down dirty stairs isn't fun in your bare feet - it's a long long stairway - bring your own lock (really?!? In 2019) - Attitude. I was like 2 minutes late and they wouldn't let me in --- which is fair except the if they run late it's fine. And an accompanying tone that I don't like. Teachers who chide you for not getting in the pose quick enough, yet you see them taking the class are laying down for half of it. Like I said, Bikram would be proud

Yelp
I highly recommend Bodē NYC! The staff is amazing and every teacher that I've taken a class with was great. They're constructive and encouraging. They make sure that you are doing the movements and positions correctly. They really want for you to do the best and feel your best. The studio is very clean! I believe they clean the rooms after every class. If you want to try out this studio and their other locations, they have a new student discount. $49 for 21 days!

Yelp
THEY STEAL YOUR CLASSES. THERE IS NO HEAT IN CHANGING ROOMS! CLASSES AND LOCKER ROOOMS ARE DIRTY. NO SHAMPOO. NO TOWELS OR MATS FOR FREE. YOU PAY 35/CLASS AND SHOULD BRING YOUR OWN MAT/WATER/TOWEL/SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER. Bought 12 class package ($200), one of the classes was booked and cancelled by the studio and for some reason they took one of the classes from my package, I spoke to front desk 2 times and the guy named Manuel is extremely lazy and unprofessional, just said the mysterious Eric is only one who can help, I emailed Eric right away but he never answered, I called all of the locations but they never answered or helped. I spoke to another 2 front desk people who said that ERIC is the only one who is able to help. ERIC doesn't answer emails anyway so I had to ask another teacher to text ERIC for me, he texted and then assured me that my 12th class is available and booked me for the last day. When I came over the Manuel who knew about the whole situation said that I still need to pay for the class because the issue is not solved. I was shoked and devastatedso Manuel told me to go to talk to Eric to their upper West side location which is 1.5 hours away from where I live. So I spent so many hours, talked to so many people for nothing and if you have any issues, nobody will care and they will send you to a mysterious Eric who won't answer your message. THIS IS THE TOTAL CRAP YOGA STUDIO.

Yelp
This studio is probably the worst out of their 3 studios. The class was packed to the point that I think it was overbooked. The women's changing room is very small. The changing area and the shower area basically share the same space and I just couldn't wait to get out of there. However, Regina was the instructor and she's really good.

Yelp
This is the true Bikram yoga with some hot HIIT classes and hot Vinyassa classes added onto the schedule. I've tried many hot yoga classes and Bikram is the only true healing yoga. The classes can be difficult to get through because of the heat, but it's well worth it in the end. The hot HIIT classes are a nice break from the Bikram routine and really can kick your butt in a good way. The classes come with a hand towel and a mat towel, so it's nice not to have to carry that with me anymore. The teachers make the classes fun and interesting and I almost always get at least several corrections or compliments in each class.

Yelp
I recently resumed my hot yoga practice in 2023 with Bode Yoga NYC. The Bode community is very welcoming - the teachers guide the classes with care, following the traditional 26 postures while ensuring all participants receive personal attention as needed. Bode hosts 2 studios with 2 practice rooms - one in Flatiron and one on the Upper East Side - supplemented by online sessions. Membership is offered in monthly tiers and class packs with many class options to fit everyone's busy lifestyle. While I am a fan of the Flatiron studio, the flexibility of locations and online option plus multitude of classes allows for a continuous practice. If you are new to the practice or taken a hiatus, get back to the hot room with Bode Yoga NYC to find peace in your everyday life!

Yelp
I went to a bikram/hot yoga class with Regina today. 75 min class. Intense but well worth it!! Regina is attentive and ensures everyone is comfortable and effectively performing the yoga poses based on the individual level. I enjoyed the class very much!! Make sure you are hydrated before, during and after. Ensure you bring more than a 16 oz water with you. This place offers mats and mat towels for rent but you can bring your own.

Yelp
Highly recommend this wonderful studio!!! One of the Best Studios in NYC! This studio has a true community feel, is super clean, has a spa vibe and most importantly has an amazing, caring, staff and teachers! Absolutely love coming and practicing at BODE Flatiron!!!!

Yelp
Great classes with packed schedule so you can take a class almost any time. For the Flatiron location: Nice shower space. It feels more like a gym than a yoga studio, though. Some plants/calm space would be a nice touch, if possible.
google avatar

Chelsie N.

Yelp
This is my favorite studio in the city. The classes are challenging, the instructors are encouraging, and I leave with a peace of mind and a badass workout. The studio is hard to miss from the street- it's door is next to the 711. The 3 flights up definitely let you know what you're in for. On the second floor is one studio and the men's locker rooms and the third is checkin, another studio and the female locker rooms. Free water. Mats and towels are about $2 bucks (i thinkkk). BE CAREFUL when coming down though- sweaty people coming up get the stairs wet and it's a bit of a hazardous situation. My one critique is that some folks (regulars I assume based on their form and relationship with the teacher) sweat like bullets and really should be encouraged to rent/have two towels. It's pretty gross when someone else's puddle is encroaching on your personal space. Besides that, this place is great. Highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
*Disclosure I am receiving a free class to write a review. Great medium sized studio located right next to many trains in flatiron (three more studios in pretty convenient locations as well). I started going here to do the Hot HIIT classes. Love the class structure and these classes are hard to find n the city without spending a pretty penny. This studio has a a decent intro plan of $49 for first 21 days. I buy class packages now which are definitely more expensive per each class, but I'm hooked in now. Not a super state of the art studio, but feels humble which I like. If you take a class with a new instructor they email you to say hi after which is a nice personal touch. My only complaint is a wish they offered more Hot HIIT classes.
google avatar

Angie C.

Yelp
I had the time of my life in this studio. I tried the HIIT class as well as the 60 minute Bikram and the 90 min Bikram class. All with different instructors, and they were all so magical. I love how clean they keep the facility, even though it seems like the turn around of classes is so quick.Dont know how they do it! But I like it. I will most definitely be coming back and buying more class packages soon.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
It all started when a friend of mine asked if I wanted to try hot yoga with him. I didn't realise what bikram was at that time, but after one lesson, I was sold. It had everything that I enjoyed in 1 solid lesson. The heat, the core strengthening, the focus, the detox and the satisfaction I've gained from their classes has been truly amazing. Bode Flatiron has friendly admin. staffs and instructors. The premises is always clean, and they'll supply everything you need to get to class. My favourite, so far, are the 75min classes which is just the right amount for me each lesson. And I might try their Hot HIIT classes soon, to step it up a notch!

Yelp
I like the teachers as they are very respectful when they correct you. Also, the studio is clean and doesn't smell. Marilu D

Yelp
Although I've been practicing Bikram for several years, I find myself with a renewed sense of commitment to my practice after three months at Bode. Today, I took my 30th class in a little over three months. I alternate between the Midtown and Flatiron locations depending on my work schedule. Both are great facilities with Flatiron being a little more spacious. I am consistently impressed with the cleanliness of both the hot rooms (cycling through a lot of sweaty yogis every day) and locker rooms. The staff is efficient at check-in, help with mats, towels, etc. I love that they know their practitioners by name and seem to genuinely care about each and every one of them (Max at the front desk is always so nice). The instructors are the best in the city. I go out of my way to catch Georgia's classes in Midtown and Luke's in Flatiron. I really appreciate how committed they both are as it relates to helping you improve your postures. That said, I've not had a single instructor that I didn't enjoy or learn something new from. I also think that Bode community of practitioners is really welcoming, which seems a bit counter to NYC culture. I'm looking forward to my 50th class.

Yelp
I have been practicing Bikram yoga off and on for the last 6 years. Bode NYC is yet another great Bikram yoga studio. All the locations are great, but my personal favorite is the Flatiron location. It has two studios, so they tend to have more classes and the staff is so welcoming. The studio is equipped with locker rooms which have plenty of showers. Bikram yoga is an amazing moving meditation. I love it because it is 90 minutes of a body/mind connection. Not only do you get to stretch and strengthen your muscles, but you also get all the mental benefits of yoga. The room is heated to about 100° or so, with 40% humidity. The heat allows you to clear your mind, sweat out your toxins, and stretch more deeply. I can't praise Bode NYC enough! Try Bikram yoga- the benefits are amazing!
google avatar

Linda G.

Yelp
Since taking classes in a studio is not an option right now, I have been practicing my yoga online . I've been very happy with Bodē NYC. The teachers are all experienced and provide good feedback and corrections when needed. Also, it's easy to check the schedule and register for classes. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to practice with Bodē NYC during these difficult times.

Yelp
Teachers and staff are great! They always remember your name and you really feel like you belong to a community.

Susanne K.

Yelp
Fantastic studio. Skilled and caring teachers. A sense of devotion to craft and spiritual uplift. Wonderful that there are four sites so I can always find a class to suit my schedule and location. Thank you, Donna, Jen and staff for creating a gem. Just had a class with Joseph Encinia at Flatiron - this amazing teacher is laser-focused in helping individual students make adjustments, effective, expressive of ways to achieve right postures. Encouraging, positive energy too.
google avatar

Robin F.

Yelp
Out of all the studios in NYC this one is probably the best if you like HOT hot yoga. The classes always push me to my limits. It's great that they have a lot of fun classes that are not the classic bikram series if you get bored. The other classes usually have great music and Zak's flow class is AMAZING! It was the closest I've had to an immersive experience in NYC. His playlist and the flow he took us through was so great. Only downside is as you would expect in NYC you have to fight for your own personal space in the locker room, but eh it's worth it:)
google avatar

Amelia L.

Yelp
Good challenging workout, but smh at the hidden costs. They told me it was $5 rental and handed me a mat and towel. I see my cc charges today and it's $8. I called to ask why, and they said it's a $5 rental for the mat and $3 rental for the towel. Not that it's expensive, but I don't like having to pay when I thought I was going to a 'free' classpass class. At least provide that info before registration
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
I love this class. The music is always really good (Maisie plays amazing music) The teachers are all really motivating and encouraging. At times it gets difficult because of the heat of the room but overall its a really great environment. I would definitely recommend it to all levels as the teachers always give adjustments modifications.
google avatar

Lan P.

Yelp
One of the nicest Bikram Yoga studios I've been to. Teachers are good, Place is clean and check in is seamless.

K P.

Yelp
Be careful believing these reviews this studio gives free classes for positive reviews. My main issues: The instructors are typically condescending and deal with the air quality poorly. They often turn the air off completely for long periods of time to build up heat in the room. If the class is not packed sometimes it's not so noticeable but if it is - you start getting dizzy pretty quickly. There is no reason to do this, they should have energy recovery on the ventilation unit and the panels provide plenty of heat. Breathing is a so important it seems very irresponsible to provide poor air quality. The second thing is the yoga itself, yes the series is great and you will leave feel good completely stretched and refreshed. But the in

Yelp
Love this studio! Signed up for class pass this month and immediately started looking through my hot yoga options. I chose Bode because I've tried hot Bikram in the past and really liked it and all of the other options on class pass were vinyasa or less than 60 minutes long. The 90 minute class is a rewarding and satisfying workout. I've taken three classes so far and none of them have been overly packed. The instructors seamlessly coach you through various breathing exercises and balancing/stretching poses. At the end you feel refreshed and super relaxed. The staff is AWESOME- everyone's extremely friendly and attentive. If it's your first time at the studio or taking hot yoga, they make sure to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The instructors are personable, peppy, knowledgeable and really go out of their way to know everybody's names and coach you during class. The locker rooms and amenities are also great- sparkling clean and plenty of shower stalls and lockers. I would definitely recommend this studio to any experienced or new yogis. There are a lot of regulars but also a decent number of people new to yoga.

The classes are awesome! I love hot hiit and the studio and instructors are very welcoming and chill!

Yelp
Loveeeee this studio! In particular I'm obsessed with the heated HIIT classes. I'm also a huge fan of the hot vinyasa class, just wished it was offered more frequently.

Yelp
It really works! The teachers are all amazing!! The $49 promo is very possible to complete! It is also a great Kickstarter! I wish Yin Nidra was offered more often, it's so great for unwinding after class or just throughout the day! I moved out of NY but every time I visit, I come back to this place. It's a must! Can't wait for an expansion! One day!

Yelp
The staff was extremely helpful. This was my 1st spin class. I felt no judgement & the instructor was seriously amazing. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Bode is a really wonderful studio, and their Hot HIIT classes are challenging, accessible, and most importantly-- really fun. I've been going for a little over two months and it's now a permanent part of my workout regimen. Charly is a great instructor who keeps class upbeat and fun, and I definitely look forward to more classes in the future.

Yelp
I have been taking classes at Bode Flatiron for about a month now. I started off with their new student 21 day special. It was an incredible deal at $49 for unlimited classes. I was hooked! I've taken both 90 minute Hot Yoga and the 50 minute Hot HIIT classes because they fit my work schedule. I am truly impressed by both classes and find the teachers to be welcoming and thorough in their descriptions of the various poses or exercises. I purchased a class pack after my 21 days were up in order to continue and found the prices fair and competitive. 105 degrees is a challenging temperature to get used to, but after a couple classes I was used to it and never once was made to feel bad about taking a breather or stepping out of the room for a moment. The heat really takes the effort you put in to the next level. I leave class feeling lighter and stronger. I will continue to return!
google avatar

Shilpi C.

Yelp
Classes are good, but the cancelation window of 3 hours is not desirable. I think as long as you cancel in a reasonable way that other students can take your spot, that makes sense. If I can cancel half an hour before class, someone can still use that. So up to half hour cancelation window without any late fee would be great. I have had last minute cancelations due to family/work reasons, I think that's common.

KL K.

Yelp
I just wanna say your employee Kevin is very nice and professional. He is easy to talk to and was very welcoming to the 23rd st studio. I've been to many yoga studios and I definitely think front desk people also make the ambiance of the studio good/bad. Kevin definitely made it good! Also, your yoga teacher Maja was also very nice. She was very warm and welcoming and easy to ask questions. I really appreciate that because I've had a couple of yoga teachers at different studios in the past who were just really mean and gave off negative vibes. Yoga is about good energy!

Yelp

Yelp
Great space. Awesome instructors. Spacious changing rooms with showers. Highly recommended.

Magda K.

Yelp
I love this studio! The desk staff are always so helpful, the space is an oasis of peace, I love the diversity in the crowds that come and the instructors I've studied with are all phenomenal. I adore Paul and Olivia's classes - they are genuine and honest and excellent instructors. Hot Vinyasa is one of the most healing practices I've ever found, and love being able to take it in such a healing space. I was intimidated by Bikram but have fallen in love with the 60 and 75 classes (I haven't the stamina to handle the heat of 90 minute classes yet.) I'm a dancer and teaching artist so my body takes a beating so whenever I have pain or inflammation I know Bikram and hot Vinyasa is the best medication! Balances my mind body and spirit. Thank you for all you do!
google avatar

Parker C.

Yelp
Most challenging yoga in NYC. Nice, clean studio, especially compared to other Bikram places. Friendly environment and instructors.
google avatar

Yelp
Clean two level walk up on 5th with one studio space on each level. Awesome deal $49 for 21 days includes mat, mat towel, bath towel and wash cloth. Classes with Omri and Paul are great. They keep you focused and in the present throughout the class reminding you how to maintain alignment. This studio does not push you and encourages you to practice within your boundaries.
