Magnificent food. I tried the mussels (which were amazing! Picture 1) and the special plate of the day, which was some sort of a salmon salad (Pic 2), which was great! You can only eat after 7 PM here but if you want to make sure you get a seat at the table, be there at 6:45 or 6:50. The tables get occupied really fast! There was no beforehand reservation possible. First come first served. Service was very fast. The atmosphere was pleasant with old Corsican music in the background.

We had a lovely dinner at Bodega in Bonifacio. The place has a really authentic vibe, small, super warm and friendly, and it feels like a family-run spot. The staff were great, very kind, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The food was good overall. The sea bream was tasty. The swordfish was nice too, but the portion was a bit small. We tried the bonifacienne aubergines, a local dish, and they were okay, but there weren’t many and the flavor didn’t really stand out. The wild boar tagliatelle had amazing meat, but the pasta didn’t mix so well with the sauce. The mussels were also very good. We also had the tiramisu and the chestnut flan and they were both super delicious! Highly recommended! Overall a nice place to have a dinner in Bonifacio!

This place is amazing! The food was out of this world! We had the mussels, so tasty, in olive oil and some herbs, fish and a salmon tartare plate that was exceptionall! This place needs a Michelin star! They open at 7 pm but be there earlier, it’s super tiny and it gets full fast, very cozy!

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The plate with local products was absolutely delicious, as was the lasagna—both bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. However, the portion of the stew was disappointingly small, especially given the price and in comparison to the other dishes. Another downside was the lack of card payment options, which was inconvenient. On the bright side, the service was warm and attentive and they surprised us with free shots at the end, which was a nice touch. Overall, a good meal with a few drawbacks.

Everything about this place was superb. The charm inside this family owned and operated business gives off the real Corsican dining experience. Our food options could not compare with the rest of our dining on other parts of the island. Our first course was the mussels which may have been the best I’ve tasted! The mozzarella salad and charcuterie plate (Mita mita) paired perfectly with the bottle of wine we choose. Lasagna was absolutely perfect, very small portion but still high quality. To top it off the tiramisu is unique and so delicious.

Yelp
On vacation - four of us wandered into this small restaurant in Bonifacio for lunch and we all left feeling very happy! The service was excellent (we became quick friends with the owner and servers), the food was really excellent and we vowed to tell our friends and come back there again some day. There were several larger places in the same (touristy) area, but if we're ever in Bonifacio again we will bypass them all for another lunch at La Bodega! Their card says the address is "Place Bonaparte" and their (French) phone number is +336 7375 9470.

Yelp
La Bodega restaurant is not pretentious. We called for reservations for a party of 4 at 9 PM. It is Recommended to call for a reservation because the restaurant is very small. We were late about half an hour. Regardless owner/host was still very friendly and welcomed us. TripAdvisor reviews are +1,000. Decided to eat here mainly because of the hospitality which is rare to find on the island. Food was very good. We ordered the prawn pasta, famous lasagna and steak. Lasagna and steak include salads. The portions are very good. La Bodega is the best Bonifacio. Host is friendly, food is good and prices good. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
We are just finishing up our absolutely delicious dinner here at La Bodéga. It is totally and completely the best restaurant in town. We made reservations one day in advance and were late both times we have been here (in the three days we had in Bonifacio) but Jean-Marie in all ways and this was a class act about it and kept our table until we got here(we called to let him know). He is one cool dude in general, and the restaurant encapsulates this cool too. Prices are really reasonable, fresh fish of the day FROM CORSICA not the Caribbean like other places here with the works(potato with creme fraiche and chive, salad, grilled tomato and lemon)for 19 euros, my boyfriend got the lasagna and eggplant with pain morts and salad too, was also something like 19, everything is super fresh and tastes like a local fisherman/cook you hired just made the food for you in your villa(ha, no but really)...very down to earth, quality local place. Tiramisu dessert wonderful, not too sweet, hits the spot. Free shots of some local liquor at the end, digestif. Perfect mix of Italian and French, plus the only place I found out what true Corsican taste is like. Completely opposite of a lot of tourist traps in Bonifacio. Make a reservation and don't miss it.
