Saturday night shenanigans for my friend’s birthday. Lots to say: the place itself is really nice, with gentle and warm lighting making the ambience cosy despite an awkward seating arrangement (3 of us sat next to each other and two of us at opposite ends of the table instead of a classical 2x2 situation). Busy but nonetheless private as somehow sound isolation between tables was quite good. Food-wise, I appreciate the creativity with interesting sauces for the tacos. But I think there weren’t enough options, neither for the tacos, nor for the other dishes. Most of the fried items were dry, especially the fish baja tacos. The portions looked small but upon following the 3-dish-per-person recommendation, and the progressive delivery, we were all surprisingly full at the end of the dinner. The most cost and taste - efficient dish was, unanimously chosen dare I say, the eponymous wings. Make sure to get your hand on those. About the drinks: the cocktails were well-proportioned alcohol-wise, and the flavours were pleasantly pungent.
Overall, it’s a nice place; if you care to have Mexican food, there are better places, but for an occasion it’s not a bad choice.
