Bodhi has been around for many years and grown tremendously in terms of size, equipment and staff. They also have the most welcoming staff of all the gyms in the area. It still blows my mind how they remember every member by name. I guess this is what happens when you care about the members.
I've started going to bodhi in 2013 and didn't become an official member until a couple years ago. Just like most people, I shopped around and tested out various gyms in the area (plus some not in the area). The difference with Bodhi is the sense of community you don't get at most commercial gyms. Smaller gyms in the area lack equipment and often time buy old equipment to fill in the area. Bodhi has expanded the space of the gym, brought in more machines, squat racks, cables, yoga mats, classrooms and even brought in more personal trainers.
In all honesty, when you walk into a gym, they are trying to just sell you a package and lurk for your money. All true, except at Bodhi. When you sign up for a membership, the staff is very clear on what the pricing is, with no hidden fees or surprise charges. The personal trainers at bodhi don't try to sell you time fillers, they build a genuine connection with their clients and you can see fitness become part of their lifestyle.
For those who are still concerned about covid, the chubby Asian kid at the front who always wears different Yeezy's every day, assured me that the air filter system in the facility was changed during quarantine, prior to their reopening. In addition, I've realized that they have new sanitizing and cleaning equipment for all the machines, floors and locker rooms. Once a machine is empty, there is someone wiping it down. The members are also proactive in wiping down machines before and after use as well. The lady who always cleans the female locker room is finally back and she always does a great job.
I've recommended Bodhi to many friends with different fitness backgrounds and different fitness goals to join over the past few years, and none of them switched to other gyms. They were all able to find what works for them at Bodhi. Regardless if it's aerial yoga, boxing/conditioning, spin classes, powerlifting, body building, weight training, Pilates, weight loss or just stretching to work on your flexibility, you'll fit right in.
I am very excited to hear that Bodhi is expanding even more in the near future and opening classes again for all members. #ourgym
