Bodhi Tree was an amazing reset and the perfect blend of yoga, nature, and comfort.
Location & Arrival
The resort is located in Guiones (not central Nosara). Renting a car is helpful, the drive is about 3 hours and the roads can be a little rough. The beach is a 10-minute walk, or you can take the resort’s golf cart shuttle. Tuk-tuks make it easy to get into town. Don’t miss the Tuesday town market.
Staff & Service
The service is outstanding. Miranda at the front desk and Luis in the restaurant were especially wonderful. Rooms are cleaned daily and the staff genuinely makes your stay smooth and stress-free.
Yoga & Fitness
You get one free class per day, with the option to add more. Highly recommend Gentle Yoga with Jackie, Aerial Restore, and Core Flow. The shalas are beautiful and open-air, surrounded by lush greenery. There’s also a well-equipped, air-conditioned gym for weight training and cardio. All levels are welcome, don’t be intimidated by the advanced yogis you see around.
Food & Drinks
The food is delicious with solid vegetarian options, the pasta dishes were a favorite. Breakfast was included with our stay. The juice bar is a highlight with amazing smoothies, great coffee, and comfy seating with swings.
Resort & Rooms
The pool area is peaceful with plenty of seating, though the pool is deeper than expected for shorter or cautious swimmers. The landscaping throughout the resort is stunning. Rooms are clean and comfortable with canopy beds, a safe, outlets, and a coffee maker. Toiletries are provided.
Getting Around & Tips
Bring cash for tips, tuk-tuks, and excursions, around $200 is plenty for most travelers. Pack extra yoga/workout clothes since it’s very humid. Bring a reusable water bottle and a beach tote.
Overall
Bodhi Tree offers a welcoming, peaceful wellness escape with top-notch service, beautiful spaces, and excellent food. Whether you’re new to yoga or experienced, it’s an easy place to feel at home. Highly recommend
