Bodo's Bagels

If you’re in Charlottesville, you have to stop at Bodo’s Bagels! We tried the egg salad with bacon on an onion bagel and the chicken (turkey) salad with cheese on a garlic bagel—both were delicious. The bagel flavors were spectacular and really brought everything together. The salads themselves aren’t heavily seasoned, which I actually prefer—it lets you adjust the flavor exactly to your liking. Just a heads-up: during rush hour, the space can get pretty cramped with people waiting, but the staff keeps things moving fast and efficiently. Local, tasty, and always worth the stop—Bodo’s lives up to the hype!

I got bagels for my party of seven this morning. Everyone is happy. I love me some lox, so fresh and tasty. The everything bagel is a perfect balance of savory and crispy.

Best deal in town, the prices can’t be beat! I’m loyal to the garlic bagel but mix it up between the chicken salad (they use turkey) and the honey pecan cream cheese. Recently tried the capocolla with lettuce tomato and onion and I think that may be my new lunch order. Even if the wait is long the line moves quick. I love sitting by the windows in this location for all that light.

Had to finally check out Bodo's after a recommendation from a friend. The line was to the door, but it moved SO fast. We enjoyed our sandwiches and also picked up some extra bagels for tomorrow morning. Will definitely return

I’m a NYr and can’t give a non NYC place 5 stars for bagels. They are very good though. As a vegan I wish they’d also adopt the NYC deli tradition of “tofu schmear” Random note: exceptionally good art!

Long line, but moved really quick. Offered a pretty generic bagel breakfast sandwich which is surprising based on how many people recommended this as a MustGo! Maybe it’s the best in C-ville?

Delish- we come here every time we’re in town. Speedy service considering the line on weekends. Yummy and cheap, plenty of build your own options or classics to choose from.

There’s a reason they’ve been around and popular for decades. Bagel sandwiches are the best you’re going to find outside of NYC. Line is usually long, but moves quickly. Always a 10/10.
