Yelp
Body of Santa Fe--putting the "cult" in Wellness Culture! Jokes aside, this place is infuriating. Apart from the zombified staff that talk to you like they are trying to put a child to sleep, their business practices are shady. My partner and I signed up for a Pilates class--both of us received a receipt for our purchase (attached mine for reference). We arrived about 5-7 minutes prior to the class starting to check in. The employee working the register couldn't find our reservations. Once she was done helping some other folx, she looked again. At this point the class already has started. Finally nearly 10 minutes in, she finds it--turns out I was waitlisted (and still charged? Who charges for a waitlist?), and my partner was, in fact, signed up as she had shown the employee. We ask for refunds. Employee refuses. Employee gets the owner. She, in all her cult-leader finery, also refuses, but tells my partner the instructor has agreed to add extra time to her session. Partner goes in. About 20 minutes later, she comes out--the instructor had no idea what was going on and did not give "extra time." Owner still refused to refund her--citing "it takes money out of the instructor's pocket." Bull. It should take money out of HER pocket, for having a flawed reservation system, and employees that don't know how to adequately check a reservation list. I'll also be watching my account like a hawk for my waitlist refund, as I received zero services.
Each interaction we have had here prior to this has always given us the ick, with their faux new-age spirituality schtick and overpriced boutique. Avoid. There are better yoga, Pilates, and massage services elsewhere, without the cash grab and pretension.
