Nice brunch place. They have vegan and vegetarian options. The brunch is quite big (one savoury dish and one sweet as you can see on the pictures) and couldn’t even finish it (they give you a box to take away!), but I believe if you want to share it you need to pay extra (as the brunch includes self service of bread and spreads).

I found this brunch place by chance and I fell in love with it. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, the brunch (see pics) is rich, varied and tasty, and the price is fair. Just a tip: don’t exaggerate with the free bread and jam otherwise you will have no space left for all the amazing organic products they will serve for brunch! I strongly recommend it and I will be back.

First of all, I love the core idea of this cafe, being the only zero waste eatery in town! Absolutely in love with the team at work there plus their attention to detail to everything - from the decor to the cutlery to the little treat they place by your coffee. We tried the vegetable omelette, the hummus bowl, and some hot chocolate. I know I’m certainly coming back for more, this might just be my new favourite cafe in the city :)

Unfortunately me and my friend were dissappointed to our visit. The place is filled with tables, which is why its very tight and extremely loud. We went on Sunday afternoon, so it’s understandable that there were a lot of people, but we could barely hear each other. The waiter came to ask our order after 30minute wait, and eventually also the food was tasteless (at least the waffles and carrot cake). Two stars anyway for the zero waste concept and beautiful dishes.

Service was poor as I had to figure out myself if I could just go sit down somewhere or not. They were so busy that they forgot to clean my table I sat at a dirty table all the time. Food was delicious, bit too much sweet items on the brunch would have loved something more savory. But everything from good quality and the girls work with a passion and a mission.

We had Sunday lunch at the place. It’s a small and simple area with basic chair and furniture. Small bonus point for the free water :-) All four of us took the daily suggestion. First impression was very positive, you get sweet and salty things to try on your plate. Many small portions of different crème, poached eggs, sautéed begs : very nice ! It comes with generous slices of bread and brioches. Some spreads are between tables for you to taste. Lot of original stuff there, almond butter, spéculoos etc… Will go there back again.

Awesome place with a great idea of zero waste. Brunch and breakfast are delicious with vast selection of jams as addition to the fresh bread. Everyone working here is so nice and welcoming. So far I've been here twice, but will definitely come back.

The menu looks very interesting and has some nice options. The options to share are ok and if you like vegan they have choises. Nevertheless, the place looks a little careless. Through the terrace you can see the kitchen window and it didn't look to much "organized/clean", what gives a bad impression. The terrace had plants above the tables that are dying and tables were not clean. I liked the menu a lot, but the place as it was when we visited (saturday afternoon) was not inviting.

What's better than a Sunday morning brunch? The wife and I have been to our share of disappointing brunches. We either end up leaving hungry, paying too much for too little, or eating an uninspired breakfast that neglects the "-unch" suffix of brunch. When it comes to the brunch at Boentje, none of these things are true. We both ordered the waffle of the week, which came with a marinated pulled chicken and tomato sauce. Delicious. The little accompanying salad was a nice touch as well, especially with the almonds. That's not all though. The yogurt with granola was so so tasty, as well as the preserved lemon(?) paste(?)/spread(?) on the other waffle... Oh and there's cookie dough for some reason (it's pretty good too.) To drink, I had a flat white, and the wife a cappuccino with oat milk. Both were made very well. The wife also got a tea, and myself? a cidre from local establishment Joran (worth trying too!). Oh... Did I mention they also do all you can eat bread with jams and spreads? Yeah. Amazing. That spéculoos spread was to die for. We left stuffed--granted we ate our share of bread and jams. This is the best brunch I've had in a very long time!
