Boggs Mansion

Overall, the Boggs Mansion is a must stay if you are visiting Pittsburgh or simply looking for a great place to unwind and relax. We were greeted at the door by name, by the host Evan, and were shown around before making our way to our room. Breakfast was made for us each morning by the host or inn-keeper, best scone I've ever had! There was clearly a great level of intentionality within the space, a care for cleanliness and hospitality. The other guests were quiet and respectful of the shared spaces and it was truly a lovely reset for the beginning of our 2026. We will definitely be back again and look forward to exploring more of what Pittsburgh has to offer :)

My friends and I came for a quick parenting break over New Years and could not have been more impressed. We’re all Gilded Age fans so were happy to geek out over the beautifully restored mansion. Rooms were well decorated and beds were comfy. Far and away, the best part of our experience was the gracious hospitality shown by the Innkeeper, Karen. She gave us a warm welcome, helped carry luggage all the way up to our third floor rooms, kept the fireplace lit in the sitting room extra late so we could relax on style, gave me an extra toothbrush from her personal stash, and made the most amazing breakfast. Website says they offer a continental breakfast. But Karen’s culinary expertise went far beyond that. Day 1 we had a dreamy French toast casserole, tropical fruit salad and bacon (and vegetarian chorizo for our non-meat eater). Day 2 we had a ham and Gruyère crepes with cranberry sauce, homemade scones with marmalade, and asparagus. Karen even kindly tracked down a small dessert (some incredible cherry cheesecake) and a birthday candle to help us celebrate our friend. We left with big hugs and reassurances that we’ll be back next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

My husband and I came into town for a weekend culminating in a Pittsburgh Steeler game Sunday night. We were welcomed on Friday evening by Michael, who was a superb host all weekend. We stayed in the Red Room which was small but met our needs. Michael prepared scrumptious and filling breakfasts each morning and kept my teacup full when we sat outside to enjoy the morning sunshine. The afternoon cookies and evening snacks were also much enjoyed (as well as the well-stocked soda fridge). The Mansion had plenty of parking and was convenient to many places we visited during our stay. We would definitely return!

We stayed three wonderful days in this meticulously restored mansion. We stayed in Emma’s room with a comfortable sofa and chairs, king bed, and large bathroom. Not only was the property outstanding, but the individually made breakfasts were delicious. Kudos to the extremely gracious manager, Cyndi, who made sure that our stay was perfect.|.

I've spent two weekends at Boggs Mansion on visits to Pittsburgh to see family. It is clean and comfortable. The operators are thoughtful and kind, treating you like old friends. Outstanding food made with care as well. This B&B is an excellent accommodation.

Absolute 10/10 stay. The house is adorable yet still reminiscent of a different time and the accommodation is spectacular. The host went above and beyond to make my stay as good as she could make it. I’d recommend this to anyone traveling to Pittsburgh.

My wife and I stayed last weekend and were very happy with the entire experience. We love historic building and architecture and this did not disappoint. Truly like stepping back into the 1800's. Stayed in Mr. Boggs room and were quite comfortable. Cindi, the in keeper, was so warm and friendly and felt like an old friend that we hadn't seen in years. We have never felt so spoiled on any other trip. She will ask what foods you prefer for breakfast and will prepare this for you in the morning. Who does this? No one, which is another reason why it was so special. The location is awesome with the park across the street that housed the National Aviary and Lake Elizabeth. It was very relaxing and peaceful to roam around and take in nature. We were in town for a Steelers game and the stadium was a short 20 minute walk through quaint streets steeped in historic architecture and charm. We were surprised how walkable everything was from this the Boggs Mansion. Definitely at the top of our list for a future stay in Pittsburgh!!

Lots of mold in our room which affected ability to breath, and caused constant coughing at night. When I looked in the refrigerator in the bar area where we were told to pick up our breakfast, the inside was very dirty with black substances on the shelf and back. On the surface this BnB looked beautiful and it was appealing initially to stay in a beautiful old mansion.
