My husband picked this place in the time old tradition of "we're hungry, oh there's a spot..." I was a little skeptical, particularly after a quick stop in the questionable (but clean) bathroom.
However, the food was pretty good, the service was great, and we played a game of pool after dinner. (Turns out my husband's not a bad shot!)
The descriptions of "lively haunt" and "rustic joint" are apt, it seems as though 90% of the customers in this converted barn were regulars and the menu is quite "standard American". Note: NOT modern hipster, more small-town-watering-hole.
We ordered:
Nachos as an appetizer ($12) ~ HUGE, with an appropriate amount of toppings. I love that they add lettuce. A little monterey jack cheese would have been fantastic.
Greek pizza ($15) ~ Amazing. If the feta had been a bit stronger and the crust a bit crisper it would be one of the best I've had (I love Greek pizza). The Kalamata olives were great!
Chicken ranch wrap ~ Lots of tasty chicken. I prefer more veggies in my wraps but my husband ordered it and was pleased, his only comment was that the ranch was a little runny and caused the wrap to become soggy quickly.
Hamburger ~ Fantastic. It was ordered medium but arrived closer to medium rare, I prefer medium rare so it worked in my favour.
The biggest disappointment of the entire meal were the fries. They came with the wrap and burger, but both orders were seriously overcooked and cold. As seen in the photos, they were dried out and practically hollow inside.
Overall, it was pretty great. I would go back for the pizza and hamburger any time. The pool tables were a fun added bonus!
