Where to Stay in Bogotá When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"I stayed at a new Marriott property that delivers on expected luxury: a fitness center overlooking the city, an expansive complimentary buffet breakfast, a bar/lounge, free bikes for guests, and spacious, air-conditioned rooms with flatscreen TVs and fast Wi‑Fi — a popular choice for business travelers." - Matthew Kepnes

Nice, spatious and very clean room. Helpful English speaking staff. Good breakfast on the ground floor, there is a terrace. Location very close to the airport. Taxi always available on demand. Good pool approx 10 meters and jaccuzzi. Safe box in the room. Only one hanger hook in the bathroom: nowhere to hang towels if you are 2 in the room. Crack in the sink.

We spent 2 nights at the Bogota Marriott hotel on a spontaneous weekend trip to Bogota, Colombia. The room was perfect with a great view of the city and the mountains. It was ideally located near the airport so we could catch a flight easily, but not too close. Signed up for a couples massage which was absolutely relaxing after a long day of hiking. Big shout out to my masseuse Daisy for the wonderful massage. The breakfast was cold. We went down to the restaurant right at opening and we were surprised that being there at opening that all the food was cold. It was pretty obvious we were eating yesterday's leftovers. Overall a great hotel and I would highly recommend. The executive lounge was extremely well stocked and stuffed with the most professional hotel staff.

Wonderful hotel and staff, great location, and a perfect stay at this well-operated property. The customer service at this property was especially top notch, making an already comfortable stay that much better! I was absolutely blown away by the phenomenal customer service provided by Miguel Angel at the reception throughout the stay - he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome and put on an absolute masterclass level of guest relations. I also want to thank Katherine for all the great assistance when I called the hotel with a few questions prior to arrival. Laura and Edwin were also fantastic at checkout as it was a nice and speedy checkout experience! Sandra, Viviana, and Angelica from the breakfast restaurant were also absolutely phenomenal in their service throughout our stay - a really sharp and talented team! Esteban from the lounge and Emerly from housekeeping were also great! Thank you Bogota Marriott team for a wonderful stay - this Titanium Elite is beyond satisfied!

No luggage porters. Mini bar is empty. One bottle of water 0.5. Old and noisy air conditioner. Old and uncomfortable shower with curtain. The shower works together with the tap because it is old. There are no slippers and robe in the room, although the hotel has a spa. Small bathroom set, only a shower cap and body lotion. The food in the restaurants is delicious, the service is good. The service in the rooms is also good. Slow internet, and there are paid tariffs.

First trip to Bogota, first time stay in hotel: Hotel is very pretty, excellent staff, very kind & caring. The room was spacious and had amenities. Variety of restaurant choices in hotel & nearby walkable surroundings. We tired 4: 2 in hotel 2 outside hotel, food was excellent in all choices. Quality ingredients, hugh portions, desserts, which are my favorite part of dining out, were all delicious. In all the presentations of the plates were appreciated 👏 💐. The location of the hotel was close to the workplace and about 10-15 minutes from the airport with a timely transportation pick-up & drop-off. Hotel taxi drivers are kind & very polite. One hiccup @arrival was cleaning of the room needed attending, but the staff turnaround to resolve was super quick, no issues. Was with a little anxiety about this business trip, flight was a bit delayed I arrived past 9 pm the staff was so kind and welcoming, in my personal opinion was very comforting. Overall, for my 1st time visit, I recommend Hotel. 👍

We stayed over for 3 nights. Service was great. Rooms are a little dated even on the executive access floor, carpets are worn. Breakfast was good.Location is great for access to both the City Centre and El Dorado airport. Lot of restaurants and cafes around this place.

Girl working at night when I checked in was great. Fast check-in. I had few required, and she took care of it right away. But the girl working the next day in the daytime was terrible. Nothing got taken care of. I had a draining problem on the tub. She tried to teach me how to fix it. If I need to fix my plumbing problem. I will stay home and not pay 200 or 300 dollars per night. I could see why the shearton hotel was completely booked and marriott was not.

There are better options in Bogota and loyalty to the Bonvoy program does not justify a stay here. The locations is decent for work trips but not ideal for tourist activities. The Marriott M-Club and gym were especially disappointing. The M-Club constantly had loud music playing throughout the day that made it seem like a club. It was obnoxious and made the space impossible to get any work done there, even when empty. Unlike many other Marriott', the M-Club was not open for breakfast which meant that even if you had access to the M-club, you needed to use the main restaurant for breakfast, which was often crowded and on more than one occasion, I had to wait for a table. The M-club also had very limited staffing, drink prices were expensive, and only limited complementary offerings were available. It was a miss all the way around, especially compared to other Marriott properties The gym was equally disappointing. There were multiple pieces of broken equipment when I arrived that were eventually removed but simple items like the bench were often missing only to reappear later. The gym is also very small for the size of the hotel and the limited equipment made it a constant struggle to get a decent workout in. I found another local gym to use for my two week stay. If a gym is an important factor for your hotel stay, look elsewhere. I previously stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Bogota and that is a significantly better property. Being loyal to Bonvoy, I gave the Marriott a try but even loyalty to the bonvoy program does not justify staying here with better options in Bogota.
