Bogus Basin

My sister and I visited in July because we wanted to ride the Glade Runner Mountain Coaster. We also rode on the ski lift. The ski lift was beautiful and relaxing and the coaster is super fun. We loved that we could go on them as many times as we wanted to. The staff were all very friendly as well.

Bogus Basin is an awesome mountain, but… Twenty years ago I took their beginner snowboard lesson and the instructor never taught us how to stop. I crashed nonstop and was ready to quit forever. My Uncle Mike fixed it in five minutes, showed me how to stop, and turned me into a lifelong snowboarder. For 30+ years he’s freely taught our whole family and countless struggling riders on that hill, saving so many people from giving up on the sport. Yet last season Bogus banned him mid-season, no explanation, no refund. The value he gave this mountain and its snowboard community is immense. Treating a 30-year loyal customer like that is unacceptable. One star until this is fixed

Lots of fun. Would be nice to have food during week with certain vendors instead of just chips and drinks but bring your own.

We spent three days here, with a day at Sun Valley in the middle. It was a great experience for us both - good mix of groomers, trees, powder, even long cat tracks. Got our boards waxed for the spring conditions today - two boards for $30. Great tasting burgers and fries. Employees were great. We'll be back next year. Love that it is nonprofit.

Great mountain for the locals in the Treasure Valley to go and enjoy the outdoors, whether it be covered in snow or bright and sunny in the middle of summer!

We did snow tubing here, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Lot of slopes for the skiing and snowboarding. Will be totally down to learn skiing/snowboarding here.

One of my favorite ski resorts. You can get door-to-door, Boise to the chalet, in under an hour. They make snow, so it's almost always great conditions. It's publicly owned, so it's reasonably priced. The on-site rental facility is great, with new equipment in great condition. The Chalet Eatery has short order cooking with a good variety.

The best community mountain, in all seasons, Bogus is our favorite playground. From co-directing Boise Front Trail Run in August, to seeking hidden first track chances in February, we always have a good time. Well worth purchasing the full year pass to enjoy winter riding and summer bike riding. For those who know about the trolls, we have a few who consistently ride up with us, I even managed to get a picture of them!
