Bohemia Suites & Spa - Adults Only (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If you’re going to have a sand-and-sea vacation in Gran Canaria, you might as well do it with lashings of luxury and stunning ocean vistas. The Bohemia Suites & Spa provides exactly that, with many of its smartly appointed rooms looking out over the Atlantic and a warm, earthy style running throughout thanks to an abundance of wooden furnishings. Don’t miss the rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar, which present the perfect opportunity to drink in the superb location." - Tablet Hotels

I do not feel that it should be called suites and spa, perhaps they use to have a true spa, however it is one person who is contracted outside of the hotel that has a small room, you cannot have treatments at the same time as another person (which they do not tell you until you show up). Then the actual spa circuit is now private which you must pay for additionally. When you do, you will find that many things don’t work, they do not provide slippers or robes (outside of your room slippers and robe) for the spa circuit. In the spa circuit, many of the buttons do not work, one of them the box peeled off exposing wires (in the middle of the pool). One sauna is so hot, the thermostat was maxed out, while the other was so cool it felt like a warm summer day. The wood is splintered, which yes gives splinters. They do not clean in between private appointments as displayed by discarded towel and cups left behind in the steam room. The cold plunge was nice. In the main pool areas there is no hot jacuzzi, only a heated pool with jets, which blows cold water for jets. The gym is nice. One elevator is broken, and outside of the ground floor you cannot call the elevator a specific direction. You simply press the button and either ride it down and back up or visa versa to get to where you’re going. The sheets so soft and I love that, but there are holes in the bedding. Not a five star experience. The outlets are coming out of the walls. The wall paper is peeling. The lighting in the room is atrocious. Neither of us smoke, yet we found cigarette buds on the balcony after we checked in, presumably from the prior occupants. The breakfast is good. I would be okay if this was. 3 star hotel and priced accordingly, however it is expensive and not worth it. The location is walkable to the beach and walkable to a lot of places, but it is not beachfront or dunes front. The staff is friendly and kind. They do have a pillow menu for better specialized pillows which is why I have 4 stars for service.

Our stay at Bohemia Suites & Spa in Gran Canaria was unforgettable – from the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome. The staff were polite, warm, and always ready to help. A special thanks to Barbara Engemana, who accompanied and assisted us throughout our stay! The room was stylish, spacious, and filled with natural light, offering a beautiful sea view. The hotel spaces were calm and elegant. The rooftop terrace (“360 Restaurant”), overlooking the sea and sand dunes, was the perfect way to end the evening. In summary: a great location, professional and attentive staff, and a luxurious yet cozy atmosphere. Without a doubt, I’d love to return.

We had a lovely 7 days at the Bohemia. The hotel has been extremely well designed, a little quirky in a very pleasant way. The highlights were the pleasantness of all the staff. We stayed half-board which was brilliant. The food in the 360° Restaurant was excellent. Plenty of choice and all prepared to very high standards. The serving staff were really good and not over attentive but there when needed. I would highly recommend a stay particularly half-board.

I booked this place for a quick getaway as a solo traveller. Check-in was easy but the doors to the room were very heavy so I thought I was locked out (you need a good push). My room was relatively small but as I was alone it was okay, I can imagine two people may trip over each other if shared. There were Molton Brown products available in the bathroom: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, bar soap. There were towels and beach towels, robes and slippers. Unfortunately there was no remote in my room to use the TV but I didn't bother to alert hotel staff as I wasn't going to use it anyway. Breakfast was a semi-buffet but a la carte hot items. You need to be specific as to quantities otherwise they will bring you only one of what you asked for. The service at the pool bar was very slow. I ordered a cocktail, two people arrived at the bar after me and they were both served and billed settled before the gentleman at the bar informed me that he couldn't make my cocktail and I had to order another one. This was highly frustrating after waiting about 15 minutes. The food was average, I would personally recommend going to nearby restaurants at the beach for tastier food at a fraction of the price The location was great and had all I needed nearby. Overall I would have appreciated it to be adequately staff. The staff I did encounter were all lovely

This hotel was a fantastic find! A beautiful boutique hotel with the most friendly staff. Ideally located, a short walk from the Yumbo centre and 5 mins from the beach. The rooms are modern and clean and the view from the restaurant / rooftop bar on the 8th floor is amazing. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely be back.

Love, love, love this hotel! If you want to chill then this is definitely the place to be! Staff are wonderful! Rooms are gorgeous and the overall ambiance is perfect! Lots of lovely art. Ate the breakfast which was wonderful and a great range of hot dishes. Enjoyed lunch at the bar! The food was really tasty. Just a tiny moan about the gym which looked as if it had had a flood recently and needed a bit of attention! Maybe I am being a bit picky as I used it everyday!

Everything has been outstanding at this property! I travel 20-30x a year. Breakfast is fantastic with amazing ocean views. Dinner is excellent as well as the service. Staff is well trained and try to accommodate your needs. The private spa is a must if you stay here!

The stay exceeded what I expected. From the moment I got there the staff were helpful and the vibe relaxed, it definitely felt like a haven of peace in a developed area (not that the area was too crazy that time of year). The member of staff who checked me in (I believe her name was Sara) then proceeded to answer a million and one of my silly questions throughout the week with patience and really help me plan getting around the island, as well as recommended great local places to eat outside the restaurant, as well as cool places to visit that locals know about, can't thank them enough for all that. The rest of the staff from the pool caretaker/lifeguard to the staff working in the restaurant were so attentive and pleasant they even remembered my order from the day before (can't remember the gentleman who served me each day but he was amazing also the food is great), truly they were a pleasure, the staff are simply the best. The actual hotel is great, the rooms are really spacious and comfortable and the balcony is a great extra. The cleaning staff do a great job keeping it all spick and span. The pool areas are great, there are a range of pools and areas to enjoy lounging. The gym is pretty good and the masseuse is fantastic. Plus the hotel is like a 5 minute walk from the beach, basically I can't fault it from my perspective.
