I do not feel that it should be called suites and spa, perhaps they use to have a true spa, however it is one person who is contracted outside of the hotel that has a small room, you cannot have treatments at the same time as another person (which they do not tell you until you show up). Then the actual spa circuit is now private which you must pay for additionally. When you do, you will find that many things don’t work, they do not provide slippers or robes (outside of your room slippers and robe) for the spa circuit.
In the spa circuit, many of the buttons do not work, one of them the box peeled off exposing wires (in the middle of the pool). One sauna is so hot, the thermostat was maxed out, while the other was so cool it felt like a warm summer day. The wood is splintered, which yes gives splinters.
They do not clean in between private appointments as displayed by discarded towel and cups left behind in the steam room.
The cold plunge was nice.
In the main pool areas there is no hot jacuzzi, only a heated pool with jets, which blows cold water for jets.
The gym is nice.
One elevator is broken, and outside of the ground floor you cannot call the elevator a specific direction. You simply press the button and either ride it down and back up or visa versa to get to where you’re going.
The sheets so soft and I love that, but there are holes in the bedding. Not a five star experience.
The outlets are coming out of the walls. The wall paper is peeling. The lighting in the room is atrocious.
Neither of us smoke, yet we found cigarette buds on the balcony after we checked in, presumably from the prior occupants.
The breakfast is good.
I would be okay if this was. 3 star hotel and priced accordingly, however it is expensive and not worth it.
The location is walkable to the beach and walkable to a lot of places, but it is not beachfront or dunes front.
The staff is friendly and kind. They do have a pillow menu for better specialized pillows which is why I have 4 stars for service.
