Bohemia Suites & Spa - Adults Only (Gran Canaria, Canary Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"If you’re going to have a sand-and-sea vacation in Gran Canaria, you might as well do it with lashings of luxury and stunning ocean vistas. The Bohemia Suites & Spa provides exactly that, with many of its smartly appointed rooms looking out over the Atlantic and a warm, earthy style running throughout thanks to an abundance of wooden furnishings. Don’t miss the rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar, which present the perfect opportunity to drink in the superb location." - Tablet Hotels

We had a truly pampered holiday. We had the junior suite: highly recommended. Plenty of room, everything you could possibly need. The entire staff was extremely friendly. Fresh towels, etc., were provided daily. Delicious meals, with plenty of choices, morning, noon, and evening. A wonderful wine selection. The only downside was that someone was smoking wheat in one of the rooms, and you could smell it from miles away...

This was our second time at this wonderful hotel and we are definitely coming back! After not so pleasant experience at the other hotel on the island, we had a magnificent and relaxing stay at Bohemia. This hotel is a true 5-star with wonderful decor rooms, beautiful premises and the most important of all, amazing and kind people working here! I can absolutely recommend this hotel to any looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be the gym. While still being nice and well-equipped, some of the machines show signs of age and need to be updated soon.

This is a lovely well designed comfortable hotel. Had a fab few days here and experienced some of the finer things. |Located within an easy walk to the beach, an unbelievable view from the 360 restaurant. Some of the best food we have tasted for a while and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and always smiling.||Only slight niggle would be the smell of smoke wafting into the restaurant from the bar area, there is a smoking area but wasn't used.

The stay exceeded what I expected. From the moment I got there the staff were helpful and the vibe relaxed, it definitely felt like a haven of peace in a developed area (not that the area was too crazy that time of year). The member of staff who checked me in (I believe her name was Sara) then proceeded to answer a million and one of my silly questions throughout the week with patience and really help me plan getting around the island, as well as recommended great local places to eat outside the restaurant, as well as cool places to visit that locals know about, can't thank them enough for all that. The rest of the staff from the pool caretaker/lifeguard to the staff working in the restaurant were so attentive and pleasant they even remembered my order from the day before (can't remember the gentleman who served me each day but he was amazing also the food is great), truly they were a pleasure, the staff are simply the best. The actual hotel is great, the rooms are really spacious and comfortable and the balcony is a great extra. The cleaning staff do a great job keeping it all spick and span. The pool areas are great, there are a range of pools and areas to enjoy lounging. The gym is pretty good and the masseuse is fantastic. Plus the hotel is like a 5 minute walk from the beach, basically I can't fault it from my perspective.

The hotel was beautiful. The location is ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The service was excellent. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day, and fresh towels were provided. The breakfast was superb and very extensive. Dinner was delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Walked by this hotel countless times over the years and always wondered what if. Decided to pay the extra and sample 7 nights in the self catering studio which was well appointed well equipped and great space. Loved the decor facilities and overall plush feel of the hotel and room and then the disappointment set in on day one. 31 degree heat outside and no balcony to sit down have a cold drink and people watch. Double doors opened onto a viewing balcony overlooking the construction site of the Tagororo apartment refurb - just awful. Entered the fancy bathroom and the eye sore of a tiny bath in the corner with shower attachment. Water was so hot it needs a warning label unless of course you want to do a Whitney Houston. Where was the fancy rain shower I was hoping for. Abundance of Motion Brown products dud not make up for my dismay. Day 2 woken up at 9am for housekeeping ( every day at 9am ) if you forget to put the digital do not disturb on. Pool area pretty but small and sunbeds packed tightly together. Jacuzzi X2 water temperature cool. I suggest management walk across the street to Gold hotel to experience jacuzzi at the correct temperature. Found a lovely upper sundeck but even that loses the sun at 4pm. Ate in the 360* restaurant and that was outstanding in food service and wine. Couple of friendly guys behind reception but overall nobody stood out. At a cost of just under £2000 for this particular holiday yes I left disappointed and would be very hesitant to return.

When compared to other places, while we were booking, what we loved about this hotel from the pictures was the amount of plants and green space around the place. After staying there I think we chose correctly as there were plenty of spaces for shade on those hot days. There was even some quiet secluded spots around too. ||An unexpected observation we really liked was the wood fire smell from the pool bar oven. It just gave the place a cosy delicious feel.||The hotel is located pretty close to the beach (10 min walk to Playa del Inglés), and many choices for restaurants all around.||Not a huge hotel, so we never had too much trouble getting a spot by the pool. Gym was good too with plenty of equipment, but the hotel should look to fix the floor as boards warped and uneven which could be a safety issue.||Pool bar cocktails and food were very good. The staff efficient, but could have been slightly more friendlier (it could have been language reason for no small talk) as might have made us feel more welcome.||We had breakfast at the restaurant, as was included with our booking. The view from the top are amazing and it's a fantastic place to start your day. Also the staff (special mention to Jose) were great, friendly and attentive. The food was very good too, even though not a large selection we never got bored after a weeks stay.||We spent a bit extra on a Junior Suite room which was huge and had a very comfortable bed. Shower had great water pressure, and curtains blocked out the light. We slept very well as also the hotel is in a quiet location. The room also had a large balcony with a day bed and chairs to sit and relax with views of the pool and sand dunes at the beach. A great spot to relax, read and have a few drinks in the evening! Also a bit of fun that the chairs lit up at night!||House keeping was top class in getting in to clean the room while we stepped out for breakfast on most days, and did a great job keeping the room clean, and stocking up supplies as well.||Only minor negatives were the overly complicated room light switches that took a while to figure out, and the sound/TV system which was suprising as Bang & Olufsen products are supposed to be a good brand. I really struggled to get music to play on the wall speakers eventually having to remove the speaker cover and reset the device. Also tried to Cast my tablet to the TV and couldn't get it to work. There were no instructions but I am usually good with tech or so I thought. ||I thought the AC lock-out minimum (of 22C) was slightly limiting as some nights I would have preferred to have had the choice to go lower for a better sleep. Also worth mentioning the toilet bowl was back to front which made no sense from a practical perspective and that's all I'm going to say about that.||Overall we had a great stay - very relaxing. It was hard accepting once our holiday was over as could have stayed longer! We look forward to returning.
