Bohinj ECO Hotel & Wellness

Lovely hotel between the mountains, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Clean, cozy rooms with beautiful views, and a peaceful atmosphere after a day at Lake Bohinj or hiking. The staff are kind, and breakfast is fresh and local. A perfect spot if you want to slow down and breathe in the mountains.

Not worth the price. Staff were kind and beds were comfortable, but overall we were disappointed. Dinner had very limited vegetarian/vegan options and costs €23 per adult, €13 per child — drinks are charged separately, even water (€5/L), which feels excessive. Everything else also costs extra: towels, bathrobes, sauna entries (more than one), and there’s no kettle in the room. The room was clean but dated, with no option to adjust temperature. Sadly, we wouldn’t return.

We really loved the pool and water slides! The kids’ area is very well designed, with shallow pools and toys — perfect for young children. There are only two slides, but that’s more than enough to keep the kids happy. Highly recommended!

It was in a great location alongside very comfortable beds, which made for a restful stay. However, I felt the overall experience didn’t quite match the price point. The room was missing some basic touches like a kettle, body lotion, and hair conditioner, and the towels were quite thin. Dinner and breakfast were simple and could benefit from more variety and freshness. While I appreciate the eco-friendly approach, a few upgrades in comfort and dining would really enhance the guest experience. The spa was superb, at €20 per person. With some small improvements, this could be a truly special place to stay in a beautiful setting.

In general it was a positive stay and experience. I do feel that for the cost of the stay (we purchased the package that included meals and the full upgrade for the room and Aquapark) that there were many extra charges. We reserved bowling (which really should be included when you purchase the extended package that we did) and in addition to the $24 reservation fee, they still charge you for shoes which they didn't tell us when we reserved. I know it sounds silly, but it just all adds up. Coffee wasn't available anywhere until 6:30am which is unfortunate for early risers and if you wanted it before 7:00 when the restaurant opened, they charged you for the coffee. Check out was very early (unless you wanted to pay extra), the pools didn't open until 12:00/noon and so we didn't get to use the Aquapark on our last day (unless you wanted to pay extra). In general the staff was pleasant but always made us feel that we were annoying them when we asked about details of the stay, pay, Bohinj card, etc. We took a piece of fruit with us after breakfast and they gave us a dirty look as we were leaving the restaurant. In general I just felt that we were always annoying the staff and again, for the cost of the stay, I wasn't super impressed. Overall it was still positive, but probably wouldn't stay there again.

Me and my wife had a great stay at Eco Hotel Bohinj. Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Breakfast and dinner were tasty, and the overall service was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. ❤️ Thank you

We are never coming back because we were left disappointed.| Considering it is a 4-star hotel, I believe it is nowhere near that standard. For what we received, the price is definitely too high... |When we arrived, the reception gave us only one room key. No additional information was provided unless we asked ourselves. |In the room, there was no bottle of water as stated on the internet. The room wasn't clean, the bathroom mirrors were dirty, there was no hand soap, and the TV had a frozen picture. The sound insulation was poor. |They didn’t ask us about car parking, so we were free to park without an additional fee since no one checked anyway (the car was scratched after 2 days, security 0!!!). |The experience in the aquapark was also bad! The pool water was too cold, the jacuzzi was also not sufficiently heated. The webpage contains conflicting information about the aquapark access on the day of checkout. One section states that it can be used until 11 AM at a cost of 10 EUR per person, while another FAQ page mentions access only until 10 AM, with a fee of 10 EUR per room.|The website also states that the towel rental costs 3€, but in reality, it's 5€.|Breakfast was average. The employees are polite but not sufficiently prepared.

Bohinj ECO Hotel & Wellness is located in Bohinjska Bistrica, not far from Bohinj Lake. We stayed in Deluxe rooms with mountain view and included entrance to the Aquapark. The rooms were spacious, quiet, clean, with a quite large balcony and with a beautiful view of the mountains. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows if someone likes to sleep in higher position. The room was equipped with a TV and a safe. The breakfast was okay, tasty, a large enough selection of savory and sweet dishes with a rich offer of fresh fruit. During our stay, the dishes at breakfast changed so there was always something new to try. The stay in the Aquapark was pleasant, it was not too crowded, probably because we stayed during the week. Everything looked clean and tidy enough. I think that the "Eco" approach of this hotel is perhaps a bit overused. Considering that it is a 4-star hotel, some things should not be as they are, starting with the towels, which are very thin, worn out and torn at the edges. The bathrobes that are mandatory when going to the Aquapark are also quite worn out. If you want to change the towel, you have to pay an additional fee, which is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. The room is also cleaned only on a request if a note is left on the door. The bathroom had a very deep bathtub without a glass wall that would protect against splashing around the bathroom area, so when showering, you either have to be pressed against the wall so that it does not spill all over the bathroom or the entire bathroom is completely wet. You also get one keycard to unlock the room and one bracelet to enter the Aquapark regardless of how many people are in the room - quite impractical. The staff who greeted us were very friendly and accommodating, but the rest of the encounter with others was mediocre, without a smile or any desire to interact with the guest, which is definitely a must-have option in some hotels of this rank.
