Boho Tamarindo

We stayed at Boho for seven nights in February - a great place to stay in Tamarindo. The location is perfect: away from the bustle of the town centre but an easy walk to restaurants etc.; a few minutes from the beach (including access to a beach club); and a nice walk to Langosta beach which is much quieter. Our room was nicely designed and equipped. Can't say enough about the staff - really attentive and wonderful. There is construction going on right beside the hotel, and they were very up front about this. We didn't find it terribly disruptive.

We booked this fabulous find last minute and couldn’t have wished for a more delightful local experience. This small boutique hotel is staffed by the friendliest locals who are eager to share their beautiful beaches, food, and country. From the moment we walked through the door, Sniler (for English tourists: pronounced like Snyder but with an L) made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just another patron at a hotel. The home cooked breakfast with locally sourced eggs, veggies, and goat cheese, along with homemade pepper sauce on the table, made our bellies very happy and ready for a day at the beach or just relaxing poolside. Because of the property’s small size, you feel at home (without having to do all those pesky chores :-) Their association with a larger resort across the street proved easy access to the beautiful beaches ands water activities. Highly recommend for those looking to have a more authentic, relaxed, non-traditional resort vacation.

I loved this sweet little hotel. The room was beautiful, clean and bright. The hotel was thoughtful and fun. Breakfast was delicious. It was just right for my first couple of days solo in Tamarindo. Quick walk to town, beach across the street and quiet. The hotel helped with a surf lesson and recommended a running route and pedicure. Quite a lovely couple of days of much needed self care!

We loved going to this place, very intimate and warm. Mr. Snailer made us feel more than welcome, and was very attentive to all our needs. This is our first choice of stay when we go back to Costa Rica!

I booked our stay at BoHo hotel based on your excellent reputation. Unfortunately, there was no mention of major construction taking place on Expedia during our stay from February 2nd to 6th, 2025. Construction workers were on-site and audible from 6 AM to 7 PM every day, directly on the other side of our wall. This created an extremely uncomfortable environment for the duration of our visit. I have attached a few photos for your reference and have many more available if needed. VERY NOISEY AND DUSTY, HOTEL IS IN THE MIDDLE OF CONSTURCTION SITE. NEXT TO YOUR BEDROOM WALL

What an absolute hidden gem. |Sadly we only stayed here for 1 night. We could absolutely have stayed for 2 weeks. |The accommodation is secure. Rooms are spacious with everything you need. Resort feels very intimate and welcoming. |Rooms are beautifully decorated. |Breakfast was great & all we good need. |Lots of information available. |And best of all is Nala the cat. Nala will make you a friend and very welcome. She really is the star of the show! |If we are ever lucky enough to be back in tamarindo absolutely will be checking into boho

A beautiful property! We stayed in the house and it was perfect for our family. Snailer, the manager and cook is beyond helpful and personable! Breakfast is provided and Snailer brought bananas and avocados from his garden which were fresh and delicious!! The owners reached out several times and were very accommodating to ensure the perfect stay. The hotel (which feels like a B&B) is close to the beach and all of the restaurants are within walking distance. It is very quaint and in a quieter area. We highly recommend!!!! Pura Vida!!🌞🏝️

The hotel is in a great location - less than 10 minute walking to the main shopping/eating area and just a few minutes walk to Langosta Beach club, where the hotel has arrangements for guests to use. Snyder at reception was super helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast every morning was delicious as well! My poolside room was surprisingly very quiet - the only sounds at night were the sounds of nature and the animals and occasional rain. Would definitely stay here again!
