6 Best Day Trips from Barcelona, and the Itinerary to Know for Each | Condé Nast Traveler

"Spain and skiing might not seem like natural amigos, but the Catalan Pyrenees could pull off a credible version of the Winter Olympics. Boí Taüll gives you the best runs for your money: blue skies (well, usually) and baking-soda peaks as far as the ski goggles can see. It’s easy to get around, and—extra bonus—rarely crowded. As well as claiming the highest peak in the Pyrenees—Puig Falcó at 2751m—it’s also north facing, preserving the snow’s icy quality for way longer than your après cerveza. A visit is perfect for the type who likes their feet and their Old Fashioneds on ice." - Gemma Askham,Jessica Benavides Canepa

Very quiet resort side from school kids. It all looks a bit tired despite the attractive outward appearance of the buildings. Very few shops, restaurants and only open after you finish skiing for the day. Go for a cheap ski holiday.

The view is AMAZING. The food isn’t very good but everyone there is kind. The rooms are very bad. Small and a lot of stuff is damaged. Also I can here people The floor below when trying to sleep. Personally I won’t come here again because it’s not worth the money.

The room was not clean and everything was a bit broken, even the door to the corridor. It's a big resort that can be viewed nowadays as a 'lost place' as most the facilities are broken and unused. ||I was there in summer, maybe your experience will be different in winter.

No air conditioner. No soaps. Cheap beds. Cracked floor tiles. A joke of a shower unless you are 4 ft tall. All in all rubbish value at 80£ per night. So many faults in the room including a cracked toilet which is insanitary. Avoid this hotel.

Noisy rooms and very uncomfortable beds.||Large groups staying without respecting sleeping hours. By far, it should not be considered a hotel, but a youth hostel.||The only positive aspect is its location.||There are definitely many better places to stay nearby.

Ok, a bit too noisy and busy. Not the right place if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Ok if you travel with children since there are a lot of fun options.
