We stopped into the Boiler Room at Congress Hall and overall had a mixed experience. The space itself is very cool—tucked away downstairs with lots of TVs around the bar and a unique, hidden vibe. The bartender was excellent—super friendly and attentive. It can be chilly inside though, so I’d recommend bringing a jacket. Where things fell short was with the table service. I arrived ahead of my wife and mom, had a glass of wine, and asked our server if it was possible to switch a TV to the US Open men’s championship. She said she’d ask a manager, but after that I sat for about 30 minutes with an empty glass without anyone checking back in, despite managers walking by several times. Eventually I had to go to the bar myself for another drink. Later, when my wife joined me, she also went to the bar for her drink. At that point, the server asked (more than once) whether we were going to keep ordering at the bar or through her. The way it was asked came off more rude than helpful, which left us feeling unwelcome. After finishing our drinks, we decided to leave and head elsewhere. The Boiler Room has a lot going for it—the setting is fun, and the bar staff is great—but our table service experience really missed the mark and made it hard to want to stay longer.

Reviewers are ridiculous. This is not a sit down family restaurant. Cape May has some of the finest dining anywhere within walking distance. Why you would come here for a plate of pasta is beyond me. Its a dark, dingy basement afterhours club. If you expect any thing more you will be disappointed. If you know where you are going, you will have a great time. Food is good to mediocre, drinks are strong, music is loud.

Super fun and underground feel, with a little 90s and 2000s alternative and classic hits playing. Come here for the pizza and drinks and leave stuffed and happy! We did the arugula and prosciutto for one, and the soppressata and capicola pizza for the other. Deliciously sweet and salty mix, with outstanding flavor in dough and sauce. Cooked brick oven style to perfection. Highly recommend getting a spot in this cozy location, the earlier the better. Hands down, the best pizza in Cape May.

I had an excellent time here. My drinks were exceptional and the vibe is perfect for the summer. My bartender Zak stood out as not only professional but extremely friendly, and knowledgeable. As someone who works as a bartender myself, People like him create regulars. I’ll definitely be back!

***4 1/2 stars*** Boiler Room was the one place I really wanted to go during our recent Cape May debauchery weekend, pretty much entirely because it looked like it was literally in a boiler room and the food appeared to be at least edible. I'm high maintenance, but not at all. This was our first official stop for dinner this past Friday night. After being dropped off at Congress Hall by a friendly Uber driver (who reaffirmed this as a recommendation during the drive), we made our way into the building and found this place fairly easily. For any of the businesses within Congress Hall, there are numerous signs throughout with arrows pointing in the direction of said establishments. You will be stunned to learn that one of the arrows for Boiler Room pointed down into the basement, where we were promptly shown a table a few feet from the island bar. As an aside, all of Congress Hall was pretty spiffy/historic, and we would have had zero issue lingering after dinner at one of the other establishments if it hadn't been so crowded. As expected, the interior was a lot of fun to look at. It's sort of grimy but VERY intentional; it's like a gentrified unfinished basement. There's a lot of exposed stonework, but not like foofy English garden walls - it literally looks like you took a chisel to your own basement and got rid of the plaster. There was also a small DJ/dance area off to the side that presumably got pretty rocking after my bedtime. Lot of fun. Our waiter was a delight. Admittedly the service WAS a bit sluggish to start off (and to be fair, it seemed chaotic/busy initially), but he redeemed himself pretty quickly. He looked like a poor man's Eddie Redmayne and was very charming/friendly. Beyond that initial wait, I don't think there was any other point during the adventure where we were actively looking around for him. The orders were relayed promptly and correctly. I also of course forgot my credit card at the table, and he rushed over to us by the exit with it and rescued me from what would undoubtedly have been a very annoying Saturday morning. I had diligently been chugging 120 ounces of water a day for the prior week, so I had no qualms about perusing the cocktail menu immediately. I went with Lavender & Lemon ($14), which came as zero surprise to my dining companions, who have been down this road with me before (I have a floral beverage weakness). I'm not crazy about the citrus family, but this is definitely an exception - the lavender complemented and ultimately negated a lot of the lemon for me, and the sparkling wine gave it a nice kick. I had two and easily could have convinced myself to get a third if we had lingered a bit longer. We split the meatball app ($10) and a few pizzas, though I stayed true to the pepperoni ($16). I'm not usually crazy about getting toppings, but the pepperoni was strongly recommended by prior reviewers and deservedly so. The pepperoni had a nice smoky char to it, and was the only one of three pizzas not to survive the night. The bathrooms were...interesting. One of my chums came back commenting that it reminded her of a Macy's dressing room, which I can't really argue with. The bathroom stall doors are slatted so it DOES feel a little exposed, but you'd have to be a really creative peeping tom to do any damage there. The stalls themselves are pretty small but allow for just enough space for a personal sink, which I thought was a nice touch. There aren't a lot of basements I'd go out of my way to eat in, but this is one of them. Strong recommend.

Google
Mediocre pizza, expensive drinks, average service. The shining spot was the Ceasar salad was delicious and it did have a nice vibe/atmosphere. They have a limited menu and focus is on the pizza. You would think it would be a much better product. But alas to each his own, this was just one persons opinion.

Chris F.

Google
Solid choice for brick oven pizza and salads. Plenty of TVs and a lively scene. The bar was busy, but the wait for food and drinks was quick. The space is cool - it's the basement level under Congress Hall.

Google
This place deserves a 0 . We ordered 2 apps meatballs and pasta. Meatballs came out ice cold , and the waitress exchanged it and they tasted like ikea meatballs with awful tomato sauce.. then we order a margarita pizza and special pizza . They should have fresh mozzarella but instead had shredded cheese and very salty , sauce is awful. THIS IS NOT PIZZA.. after all that our pasta app came it was the worst I ever had in my life..whoever gives this place a positive review doesn't know food. 1st and last time we go there..

Yelp
If you're looking for Cape May's hottest subterranean hotspot, look no further than The Boiler Room. This place has everything: wood-fired pizza, Caesar salads that slap, neon lights, exposed brick, and a sound system that'll knock your Birkenstocks off. And the staff? Honey. First, let's talk about Matt, the food and beverage manager. He's like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain, pulling levers of flavor and hospitality. Ever had a martini that made you cry from joy? You will. Now add Johnny and Kyle behind the bar--Cape May's dynamic duo. They pour, they shake, they stir, and they SERVE. Watching them in action is like seeing a choreographed dance, except everyone gets a drink at the end. Now let's get into the pizza. This pizza? This pizza is like if Naples and Brooklyn had a baby that went to culinary school in Rome. It's crispy, chewy, saucy perfection. And don't even get me started on the Caesar salad--it's crunchy, briny, creamy, and anchovy-whispered. I'd write it a love letter and send it first class. But that's not all. When the sun goes down, this place transforms. The Boiler Room becomes an underground concert hall of dreams. The live bands? They funk, boogie, and rock 'n' roll like it's their job (because it is). Think Parliament meets Tom Petty in a dance-off judged by Prince. They groove party anthems and timeless classics that'll have you screaming, "This is MY SONG!" while you dance like it's 1999. The Boiler Room has everything: brick oven dreams, Caesar epiphanies, killer cocktails, craft beers, sultry lighting, beautiful people, bar legends, and music that hits like a vintage disco ball to the soul. So if you're in Cape May and you're not at the Boiler Room, what are you even doing with your life?

Janet M.

Yelp
We liked this dark moody bar like setting. The whole bar was full of locals and seemed to have a good relationship with the staff. Pizza was ok, menu wasn't big but the meat and cheese board was a great choice and we devoured the Caesar salad! The housemade croutons were delicious!

Yelp
My husband had noticed this place on one of our walks around. We decided to go here for dinner our second night in town. It's a neat spot. I really like the antique speakeasy basement vibe. Music wasn't too loud, you could barely hear it and I loved that. We've heard in the regular season (which we'd never visit during) that it is crazy. However, it was pretty relaxed the night we were there. The food was fantastic! We both enjoyed everything we had and quite frankly I know shrimp cocktail seems simple, but this one was really good. It was so cool to watch them make the pizza just tables away from us, and it was lovely to have no one seated around us. Our server was great, except for a really weird flub at the end. She took the card from my husband and just never came back. It wasn't that busy but we assumed maybe she got caught up because she never even walked back by. Finally, we catch a glimpse of her and she's like, "Did I bring your card back?". I firmly told her no and that we'd been waiting on her to leave. The another server asked us if everything was okay. I was transparent with him that over 10 minutes had just gone by where she vanished with the card for the bill. It's a cool spot, great food, and overall the service IS great. It was just a bit of a weird ending.

Yelp
This is a cool spot, but the food and service were both mediocre. The server never brought us water or the correct amount of silverware as requested multiple times. The salad dressing was extremely tart and acidic. Pictured is the "margarita pizza"... this was just a normal cheese pizza with some basil thrown on. Cheese was very heavy. The other 2 pizzas we got were burned on top. I would definitely come back for a drink, but not for dinner.

Yelp
It was about 8 min after close and there were multiple other groups of people in the bar still, and me and my group of 5 friends were finishing our drinks and ordering our Ubers to leave. One of your bus boys was very disrespectful and rude. He told us it was close; we acknowledged and said we are ordering our Ubers and leaving. He then proceeded to 1) mock us and 2) tell us to get out so he could leave. We were not being obnoxious or disruptive and had also just spent over $400 at your bar. That was completely unnecessary and rude. But there's no other great option to go to so yall will still go. Whatever

Riley W.

Yelp
Prompt service... but holy moly- TONS of flies...like everywhere. The drinks were great but the margherita pizza was sooooo spicy. Mustve been an off day for the kitchen??

Yelp
Cool bar in the basement of congress hall. Pizza, yas good! Mozz sticks, yas good! The vibes, yas good! Dirty martini passed the taste test. Not the best but still very much enjoyable drink.

Yelp
Cool ambiance and bar. Good service. Limited food options but quality brick oven pizza. I'd definitely go back when I visit Cape May again.

Yelp
Love love love Congress Hall. I'm a religious Cape May goer and you can't beat the atmosphere at Congress Hall so why not get the pizza to go and eat it on the lawn?? Just order to go, walk up the stairs and head out to the lawn with pizza, wine and the sunset! I got the pepperoni pizza and added mushrooms. Pizza is the perfect size for two! I got the pizza from the Boiler Room and I ordered the glasses of wine at the outside bar.

Kevin N.

Yelp
Excellent food. Great environment. Always had a great time here. Friendly service. Fun nights with live bands

Yelp
Love the ambiance & the pizzas were delicious...service was great too!! Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
It's a grimy club in the we've taken you hostage in Beirut tradition. Dark and claustrophobic with food that has merit even if you can't see it. Honestly, it's loud and kind of a drag but maybe I've just aged out of this kind of architectural debauchery. See you in the infinitely more refined Brown Room bar in the Congress Inn lobby upstairs where the Botox and Cryotherapy victims come out to play. Thank God.

Yelp
This place was so good! The atmosphere is so fun and unexpected. You walk through one of the other restaurants in Congress Hall to get here, go down some steps to what you think will just be a basement but instead you find this cute restaurant! They were playing fun music while I was there and I loved the neon signs and overall feel of the place. We started with some cocktails, which were good. We got the wedge salad and the barbecue pulled pork pizza. Absolute blown away! The wedge salad was one of the best I've had in awhile and the pizza is something I'll be craving in the future for sure. It was the perfect ratio of savory, spicy pulled pork, delicious cheese and hot peppers to round it out. My entire group loved our meal and it was by far our favorite meal of our whole trip. We keep bringing it up 2 weeks later! Definitely recommend this place! An unexpected gem.

Yelp
Excellent little venue in the basement of Congress Hall. Music is always awesome. May I mention that you just come here for the pizza, music and simple drinks or beer as they do not specialize in crafty cocktails which is fine by me. The basement floor is a redone boiler room from the past, which is also an interesting element, and pretty cool to explore

The pepperoni had a nice smoky char to it, and was the only one of three pizzas not to survive the night. We topped this off with a chocolate chip cookie skillet/ice cream dish, which I'm starting to think is the most ubiquitous dessert of modern times. It was good, but several people at our table commented that while the skillet was hot, the cookie was not. That's kind of one of the big selling points of this dish in general, so I'm not sure exactly what went into the prep, but I'd get the cookie a bit toastier in the future. The price points to me were very reasonable; even taking into account that we're still at the edge of off-season, this is definitely a tourist trap kind of place, but you wouldn't know it from the cost. The bathrooms were...interesting. One of my chums came back commenting that it reminded her of a Macy's dressing room, which I can't really argue with. Yelp
Pizza good. Ambiance loud. Bartenders indifferent. Take this off your must see list. Although the rest of Congress Hall is great!

Yelp
This place is really good and the food was great. It is in the basement of congress hall but it still gives a cool bar vibe. The pizzas were really good (pepperoni and arugula were the favorite). It has a underground feel and cool phone booths there too. We also got the burrata and meatballs. The cookie Sunday was also a hit. The service is great too

Ally I.

Yelp
Went to the Boiler Room on a Saturday night around 8 and was sat within a few minutes. We got a pizza and the focaccia bread. The pizza came out pretty timely but the focaccia bread took such a long time that we didn't really want it by the time it got out. Overall it was good but a little too busy for us
google avatar

Yelp
Stop by this underground bar to enjoy delicious brick oven pizzas & some pretty tasty cocktails in Cape May. I LOVE the cozy ambiance in this spot & my husband loved the beers & me being content while he watched sports. lol. It wasn't very nice out so we ended up bellied up to this bar for hours. There are plenty of TVs and they also have live music here sometimes. TBH, for a Cape Resorts restaurant I wasn't super impressed with the cocktail list, and thought it might have been more elevated/unique, but the ones they whipped me up were pretty good. In their defense, this is also a pretty casual spot. Over our extended visit, I had the Blood Orange Martini, Strawberry Marg, Lavendar & Lemon Sparkling, & an Espresso Martini. We took a pizza to go at the end & it was really good, just as I'd remembered.

Yelp
Load in day at the beach house and needed a quick dinner. Craving pizza and beach pizza wasn't going to cut it. Congress Hall has the best reputation so we took a shot on The Boiler Room. Atmosphere is "modern speakeasy." Brick oven pizza in the basement. Delicious! We started with a couple drinks, and a wedge salad. All the ingredients were fresh and super high quality. Followed with a pepperoni pizza. It was really good and exactly the right amount for two. The baked skillet chocolate chip cookie was the perfect dessert. Usually these things have vanilla ice cream that overpowers the cookie. With this one the balance of flavors was really good. Possibly the best one I've ever had. Great meal to start our vacation week!
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
This restaurant is super convenient for anyone staying at congress hall and good choice for dinner. We loved the vibes of the restaurant and the service was good. Our pizza and salad were solid choices. I just don't recommend the truffle fries as we didn't taste any truffle. Not amazing but a solid choice!
google avatar

Waneeza M.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely a bit of a journey to find. I was with family in cape may in the fall & just wanted a quick bite. The vibes of this place are great, especially late at night with live music. However, service is INCREDIBLY slow. It took 30 minutes to take our order and an hour to get our pizzas. The pizzas were okay but somewhat cold after the wait.
google avatar

Casper M.

Yelp
So I come to this place and get greeted by the most beautiful people. Their eyes pierced right through my soul and the food was similar. I haven't had food this good since my virginity got taken from me. I feel warm, fuzzy, and my heart keeps beating. I highly recommend the proscuitto & arugula pizza for dinner, it hit my G-spot.

Matt D.

Yelp
Unfriendly staff. Worker told me he had to clear our table when the place was EMPTY. Not worth seeing
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
We tried to visit recently on Thursday however they were closed. We tried again Friday and were seated right away. I enjoyed the meatball appetizer and Caesar. The white pizza was pretty good. I ordered it because of the nduja sausage which I almost never see on menus. It was good! I would return again on a future visit. The only downside is that you're in a basement so although the atmosphere is unique, you're away from all the natural beauty of Cape May and Congress Hall.
google avatar

Sheila R.

Yelp
Great place to have a drink and watch football. Tons of TVs and happy hour specials. Bartenders are great. Pizzas look good. We'll be back to try some bar food.
google avatar

Eric F.

Yelp
Pizza was good and there were plenty of TVs to watch the games. Atmosphere was very good.

Amy K.

Yelp
We've been to the Boiler Room twice in Congress Hall. It's in the basement FYI. Once pre covid and once right in the middle of it. Both times we thought it was a decent place. The food is okay; nothing special IMO. Service has been the same; fine but nothing amazing. This last time they were out of three beers on tap which may have been covid related not their fault. We had the bruschetta crostini and it was one piece of toast; not a shareable portion. Then we split a pizza and the pasta. The pizza was single size so wouldn't do that again. The pasta was cooked correctly but the sauce was quite bland. I think this places best feature is the ambiance. It's in the basement and feels very cozy and WARM due to the pizza oven.
google avatar

Dawn A.

Yelp
Best cosmos around! Excellent bartender Frezel Enjoy the atmosphere. Pizza and chop salad were fabulous. Our server Izzy was fun and very knowledgeable. She took great care of us. We will be back.

Allison D.

Yelp
The boiler room is a cool ambiance and a relaxed spot within the high end luxury of Congress Hall. The servings are huge and splitting a pizza and salad were perfect if not too much food. Salad was great, pizza was average. One of my favorite things to do there is to watch sports and was disappointed that there were 10 or so TVs and they told us they all had to stay on the same game all night. Also tons of bachelorette parties!
google avatar

Gwendolyn P.

Yelp
Stopped by here Thanksgiving weekend to grab a couple of drinks and check out the band. It was a pretty hopping scene with a lot of locals. It was nice to be able to sit at a table with a couple of drinks and order a bar pie. They were out of a couple of the drafts at the bar but I guess that is to be expected.
google avatar

Sonal C.

Yelp
This is a trendy spot for drinks and fresh pizza in cape may. The place in the basement of the Congress hall hotel dining area but decorated super speakeasy like and full of awesome energy with the ovens and bar serving as the focal pieces in the dark lit room with TVs surrounding the bar area for sports. The menu was small but an obvious choice to go with pizza since that's what they're known for here anyway! We got the pepperoni which was crisped up just right.. it was a pie on the saucier side, but that's what I like so no complaints! I also had the burrata salad which was clearly made with fresh ingredients- tomatoes were so juicy and sweet! The burrata itself wasn't too creamy, but still a good choice

Joan H.

Yelp
The food was delicious--we got the prosciutto and arugula pizza and the beach plum salad. I was hesitant to try the midnight margarita with activated charcoal in it but it was delicious. Our server made great recommendations and steered us in the right direction
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
If there was such a thing as a "speak easy pizza bar", this place would be it! We got two pizzas, the Berkshire (bottom) and the Soppressata (top). Both were good, but the Soppressata with the white truffle oil was the winner. The larger pies are perfect to split with another person without feeling overly full. Besides the interesting pizza selections, the atmosphere is beyond cool.
google avatar

Maria P.

Yelp
Fun place with good music! stopped by here for drinks after dinner. nice bartenders . definitely recommend

Lisa S.

Yelp
The wait was 45 minutes after be told it would be 20; not the biggest deal however there were open, set tables we were the told the manager was holding. We weren't sure why as The Boiler Room doesn't accept reservations. Anyway the service was a little better than the wait, sorry Regina, while margaritas and four cheese pizzas was okay. The star of night was the Beach Plum mixed greens salad- it was fabulous and actually made for the shortcomings we experienced. :)

B S.

Yelp
17$ wedge salad is ridiculous it was so small. For that price it should have been double the size. Pizza is delicious. 1 hour 45 min wait we got there at 5:40.
google avatar

Sabre L.

Yelp
The pizza here was amazing and they had a long lost pay phone. Cool speakeasy vibe. It was in the basement and felt slightly secretive. Good Covid precautions
google avatar

Hillary H.

Yelp
We went there to listen to the live band. The atmosphere is electric and the band was fun and lively! We danced and sang and had a blast! It's a hidden gem that we happened to stumble upon and happy we did. Every time we visit Cape May we make sure to stop in because there s always something going on!

Kelly F.

Yelp
The food was incredible. Best pizza I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the mushroom pizza and the smoked pulled pork pizza. We might be back for a second time this trip it was that good.

Laine I.

Yelp
We came in for dinner around 8. The hostess said the kitchen was closing in 10 mins so we had to sit at the bar and order immediately. My friend and I ordered a margarita pizza to split. However, we got a plain pizza with 2 pieces of basil on it. The dough was so chewy and the cheese tasted like Chuck E. Cheese pizza. So horrible.

Boomer J.

Yelp
This place holds such promise for a good time in this quaint little beach town but greed sours the experience. The set up is fun, going downstairs, thumping dance club, nice bar situation, (DJ could have been better, not a fan of of just any song mixed with a techno beat , just play some dance music otherwise it all sounds the same) but the bartenders are thieves, maybe not all but at least one and where is a manager to oversee the place? Drinks are ridiculously expensive but worse, prices vary according to bartender. For us, on the same night, same drink order, 2 gin (well) and tonics ( in a plastic cup no less) done by 2 different bartenders a male and a female on Thursday 8/3, one cost $26 and the other $37. How??? Or rather WHY??? We had the same person in our group place both orders . Then the female bartender who charged the higher price later wanted to charge $22 for 2 beers on tap!! We had been dancing, having a good time but when we realized we were being gouged we left. We really like the setting of Boiler Room but we won't be hanging there again and we certainly will not drinking there, not with being so blatantly ripped off. Too bad because it's got a cooler , classier vibe than the other spots on the island.

Jenna S.

Yelp
Interesting ambiance because you're in a dark basement. Pizza was good, although a bit pricey for the small size. We also got the meatballs which were ok, they were very small but the rest of my family liked it.
google avatar

L Stephen C.

Yelp
On the first night in town and not reading or understanding fully that the restaurant pizza parlor was in the basement of the Congress Hall hotel we wandered up and down the street a couple of times trying to find address number 351 asking people if they knew where it was until MLWA took my phone and reread the Yelp instructions - so when we finally found it we enjoyed the pizzas and a couple local brewed draft beers : )

Yelp
So many great times at the boiler room! Awesome atmosphere. The crowd is usually pretty mixed. Seems like a locals spot as well as a tourist hang out, all looking to have a good time. There's always a DJ or live band on the weekends and they've been quality almost every time I go. This is one of very few places I'll actually dance voluntarily with my wife and friends. Sometimes they have acts that cater to an older crowd, but if the music isn't for you there's plenty of other options nearby, but I would try back asap. Drinks are a little pricey, but that's Congress Hall for you and Cape May in general. The star here though really is the pizza. To get to snack on delicious pizza while listing to live music in the basement of the best hotel in Cape May is something quite special. We loved the sopressata & capicola, the berkshire, margherita, and smoked pulled bbq. Still have a few to try, but they're all delightful. If you're looking for a good time out with friends or a nice place to go during a night out with your significant other, this is a really fun option where you can drink, dance, relax, and have some good food. One of our favorite spots in town!

Yelp
Continuing our stay in Cape May we rejected for dinner a somewhat pretentious place with a shitty vibe, even though good Yelp reviews. We noticed that we were practically next door to the Boiler Room. "Let's try it." Located downstairs in Congress Hall, it's part of a collection of stores and attractions, headlined by a high end resort hotel. Built 200 years ago it's housed a few dignitaries over the years including our 18th president, US Grant. The Boiler Room is located downstairs. We immediately got seats at the bar and felt welcome right away. Bob looked like he'd be better suited to be a NFL defensive lineman than our bartender, but treated us right and seems like a great guy. We ordered beers from Cape May and Bob asked if we wanted to see a pizza menu. Pizza suited us fine so I don't know if they serve anything else. I'm guessing not. We split a Capriccio salad that was so fresh tasting, with fresh mozzarella, basil, & tomatoes and drizzled with balsamic. They serve 7"-12" thin crust pizzas. I decided on the soppressata capicola pizza. I thought it was excellent. Service was great, food too, what else do you need?

Yelp
We decided to try put the pizza here since we both enjoy Neapolitan pizza and are big fans of all the Cape Resorts restaurants. The décor is unchanged from before, exposed brick and beams, subdued lighting and stainless pub table. We took a seat across from the bar and attempted to order beers. The first one the wife selected was out and the second one she picked was down to the last can. I went with an Allagash which they thankfully were not out of. We opted for two pizzas, the prosciutto and arugula and the garden vegetable. We were not impressed with either. The prosciutto was cooked on the pizza which causes the fat to render out leaving a salty, crunchy remnant that marred the sweetness of the tomatoes. The vegetable pizza was lacking in flavor, it could have used some salt, and the mix of vegetables, potatoes and squash, was not the seasonal toppings I would have offered. The largest disappointment was the dough which lacked the sourdough undercurrent that all good Neapolitan pizzas carry. It was also somewhat flat and lacked the toothsomeness that a well proofed, high-hydration dough offers when cooked in a wood-fired oven. There would need to be some significant improvement for us to return here for pizza.

Yelp
Speakeasy-ish spot in CM. You need to go through Congress Hall and down the stairs in order to enter. It's dark and can get a little loud...perfectly to bring my little one! We needed to flag down a host and were seated promptly near the pizza oven. It's definitely a good spot to grab a drank as it becomes a lounge later in the evening and they have a big bar in the middle of the place. Their craft beer selection is about 6 on draft. Don't expect a big menu...pizza and salads (2). We started and split their Seasonal Farm Salad. We each ordered a 7 inch pie which is a perfect size if you expect to get dessert...which I recommend you save room for. Recommendation: Berkshire - Fontina and Ricotta cheese, sautéed seasonal greens, caramelized onions, wood fire roasted wild mushrooms, sliced smoked ham, white truffle oil Smokey Pulled BBQ - House made BBQ sauce, Beach Plum Farm hickory smoked pulled pork, shaved red onion, sliced spicy serrano peppers, cheddar cheese, fresh cilantro Both were flavorful! For dessert (check out my pics) they have these large shot glasses of heaven: Shortcake and Banoffee Pie...you're welcome... Despite the hiccup with getting seated, service was excellent. Prices are reasonable. ENJOY!

Yelp
Really great pizza, nice atmosphere, good service. I would definitely go back. Short wait time for pizza, service was pretty fast and we had a table of 9. We tried 7 pizzas, all delicious.
