Google
This is my second time flying into Boise Airport and it was pretty easy to get from Hey beside to baggage claim/ Rental car service. I flew in during the morning before 11am and it was pretty busy on incoming flights and people at the airport. The airport has a lot of spots that have arcade games and places to sit and chill. Bathrooms were clean and looking forward to coming through when we leave next week.

Nelida Safrit

Google
I went on a weekday. The security line was fast. No need to remove anything from my luggage. The airport is pretty small, so the walk to the gate was quick.

AddictedToRaids

Google
Small, quiet, and organized airport. The airport has a nice little gaming area to kill some time. Plenty of restaurants and more coming soon too. TSA is pretty chill unless you decide to go full throttle Karen/Darren. Massage chairs are available but clean them up well. Filtered water stations are available at this airport too. The airport is being proactive in expanding to accommodate more visitors.

Google
Literally got through TSA in less than 5 mins every time I’ve been here. Staff is always on top of it! So quiet and easy to relax before boarding your flight.

Bryan Yoz

Google
The airport was not quite busy and relatively small compared to other airports in the Capital city. It’s not an international airport but a medium-sized joint civil-military airport. The interior was clean and well-organized in general. The interesting finding is that there is the place close to the gates to play arcade games, motorcycle racing or take the fun photo in the Photo Booth, while you are waiting for the flight. There are only four baggage carousels at the baggage claim area on the first floor. You can look at the individual screen on each carousel to verify your flight for your luggage.

Eddy Rodriguez

Google
Small airport so you can leave fast and check in fast. And if you have clear+ then the main kiosks and clear helpers are to the right side of the tsa line. It's hidden behind a wall and the employees their suck at telling you anything and have bad customer service.

D K

Google
My experience at Boise airport was deeply disappointing. At nearly every touchpoint, from airline desk, TSA, and gate, staff appeared more interested in asserting control than assisting travelers. Instead of creating a smooth or efficient process, the atmosphere felt unnecessarily adversarial, with little regard for customer service or basic courtesy.

Jen Olsun

Google
Small airports are the best. Our oversized luggage (skis) were ready for us when we got to baggage claim—NEVER happens elsewhere. Easy access to rental cars, super quick transaction. Clean and deserted even at 8pm on a Saturday night. We loved Boise airport and will be coming back through for more adventures.

Yelp
I have been coming to this airport since the 80's. I have seen it change through the decades. And as many times I have been here, there's always something new that is happening to the airport. The last time I flew out or arrived in the main terminal was last year. This year we flew out of Alaska which is now on the bottom level. That was brand new to me! I didn't even know that level existed. Today we arrived in the main terminal. It was neat to see all the construction going on. Most of the construction is for more food joints. One construction site was for a store. The Boise airport is pretty cut and dry. There aren't currently a lot of food options but it looks like that will be changing soon. Shopping isn't going to be beyond magazines, shot cups and snacks. I didn't really see anything spectacular. Hopefully that will change soon as well. A couple fun boutiques or novelty stores would be a nice addition to our airport. One thing I will say about this airport is how clean and pretty it is! We get a good amount of traffic and we keep our airport looking fresh. From checking in at the ticket counters to picking up your luggage, this airport is flawless. TSA here is a little chaotic but they get it done fast. As chaotic as it can get, TSA has always been kind at this airport. I have dealt with a fair amount of rude TSA agents like in Atlanta and Houston but never Boise. We are just kind folks here. I can't wait to see the updates the next time I fly out of the Boise airport. And I'm sure I'll be around for the future changes too. Just know if you land here, you'll be in food hands. Not the most entertaining airport but the cleanest and nicest airport for sure.

Yelp
It's a small airport! There's three doors, pick one and you're in either ticketing or gates. LOL The food options are not great but it's expected that an airport this size would not have higher end restaurants. Security was a breeze. At least the airport has Clear. I save 1 minute scanning my eyes versus going through regular Pre- TSA.
google avatar

Lilah J.

Yelp
This is a great airport! Didn't stop at any shops or restaurants in the terminal at arrival but, stopped at the restroom and headed for the rental car service. Awesome that the our rental car service is located in baggage claim. No need to catch a tram or a shuttle to somewhere offsite. The rental vehicles are in a structure just a short walk across and upstairs. There is some construction happening as of late May 2025 in the area near the rental car entrance/exit but was minor and not a barrier getting in and out of the rental lot. For departure, the TSA precheck line is a breeze. The TSA staff and so courteous, smiling, and kind. The officer thanked me and called me by name. 4 stars!
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
Boise is a small airport but getting in and out of is relatively easy. There are some food options but there could always be more. There were not any airport lounges and that would be helpful because the airport can become very busy. Finding a taxi was easy and the airport is very close to downtown. The options to fly directly to the east coast are surprisingly limited.
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
Love this airport! It's clean, easy to navigate inside and outside, parking is close and abundant, rental car desk area is inside, the drop-off is near the exits and my bags come out timely. The restaurants and eateries offer a wide selection of food/drinks and the stores have lots of items to help you with your trip. TSA agents are friendly and the pre-check lines are fast.
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
Nice smaller airport with blazing fast free WiFi! The Boise airport is expanding but at the moment it's a small but nice airport. Rental car return was a breeze with a very short walk to the terminal. Short line to check in to Southwest Airlines. Breezed through TSA. WiFi is incredible. Ran speed test. Average download 382 Mb, upload 260 Mb! Awesome free WiFi!
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
This airport is super easy to navigate. We had a rental car and after turning in the rental car you just walk into the terminal. Go upstairs for ticketing and easy breezy through security to gates. The employees are all very nice. The internet is the fastest and best internet ever at an airport thank you Idaho University. Bathrooms cleanliness: above average
google avatar

Marisol F.

Yelp
First time in this airport and I'm impressed by the cleanest . I used the wheelchair service from Southwest Arline's , and they were so accommodating and super nice to me. I really enjoy the layout the cleanness and the organization at this airport . The bathrooms were clean well stock. This airport is an outstanding .

Kelsi M.

Yelp
Alaska Airlines flight attendants girls, are very rude. I'm just glad this is going to be my last flight to Idaho. Very disappointed. She was nice to the lovely the people infront of us and then she saw us, gave us nothing but attitude and shitty service.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
Have you ever been to Boise? Well we don't want get this city we love any more crowded...lol!! This might be the best airport in the pacific north west. It is so easy to get in and out of and never any major lines to wait in. Plus the people at TSA are actually super friendly and nice! I love living in Boise and love traveling out of my favorite airport.
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
I love smaller airports like Boise. No security lines. No long walk to the gates. This place has nice eateries and a great bar. Rental car counters right next to baggage claim. No traffic going in or out of the airport.
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Small airport that was easy to get into and out of. It currently had a fair amount of construction, making some areas cramped or awkward. The car rental exit feels like your using an illegal exit/ staff exit, but, again, it's very convenient.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
A pretty basic airport that's pn the small side. There was a lot of construction when I was there and the exit for car rental is practically on the flight line. That was strange but also kind of cool.
google avatar

Jolinda B.

Yelp
When I asked how early I should arrive before my departure she gave me the typical 2 hour recommendation. I'm use to flying out of much larger and busier airports, but this airport is soooo small there is no need to arrive 2 hours early even "during the holiday season". I arrived here at 4:35am via Uber. I got to my gate at exactly 5am, even after I stopped for a coffee and danish and I didn't depart until 6am.
google avatar

Kam H.

Yelp
Tip: the metal detectors detect, wait for it..metal. Take the metal out if your pocket.

Citsnottoolate22 A.

Yelp
Would be 5 stars if there were taxis available consistently after flight arrivals. This is the second time in a row that I've needed a taxi and there aren't any availble. Not even if I call the taxi companys by phone or website. More rideshare options without reservations please. Normally I make pick up plans in advanced but the 2 times I couldn't- no taxis available. otherwise this airport runs very smoothly, it's clean, and great people work here.
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
At Boise Airport there is construction which can slow things down and the airport is not well signed. However, it is pleasantly close to downtown and an easy in and out. While it has the feel of a small airport it actually has quite a few gates. TSA was painless on my visit.
google avatar

Caletta G.

Yelp
Nice little airport servicing Boise. The B concourse has 10 or 11 gates with 4 restaurants and 3 shops. Staff are friendly. Getting through TSA was timely and efficient. Restrooms and common areas are kept clean. My only ding: I was very excited when I saw a digital library kiosk area with 4 computers, yet when I entered this area, all of the computers were shut down. Would be nice if that area was up and working as I would have loved to use that resource while waiting on my flight.
google avatar

mike h.

Yelp
Sad to see new restaurants coming in from corporate chain coffee, pizza and burgers rather than local options. But this airport is clean and well run aside from whoever made those food and bev choices.
google avatar

Kelly D.

Yelp
Fast quick and easy! Security was super easy and fast. The TSA employees were super nice!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
It is a bit hit or miss here... but overall nice & efficient airport. I appreciate that everything is well lit, spacious, & signage is good. Do note that TSA never seems to be aware of TSA Cares Program...for years now... but the airlines themselves are pretty good about alerting the "airport assist personnel" of accessibility requirements... & then they seem to make up for where the local TSA falls short. I especially enjoy flying with ALaska thru this airport as it's the quiet downstairs area that is utilized for their flights. (TSA Cares program is a program u arrange ahead for special needs... they are supposed to have a Passenger Specialist available... but Boise staff never seem to be alerted...I don't have the issue at other airports... I suspect it's staffing issue... but in fairness my last flight thru Spokane Airport they didn't have a specialist either... yet their TSA people where fantastic so hard to say where ball is being dropped.)
google avatar

Brandi I.

Yelp
I want to say don't fly in/out of here but it's sort of the only airport around so you don't have much of a choice. TSA is funny, each agent seems to function by their own rules so depending on the line you get into they might be helpful or they might be ridiculous. Don't think that just because you have an early morning flight that it means getting thru security is going to be easy. Show up at least 90 minutes before your flight. I had a 7 am flight on a Sunday, checked in early and didn't have a checked bag. I showed up at 6 am and missed my flight. ‍ It's not a horrible airport to have to hang around in but there aren't a lot of food options and not everything that is available is open at a reasonable time which is sort of annoying.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
I would say this airport is better than average. It's easy to get in and out of and the baggage claim is fast. Additionally it doesn't feel cramped, crowded, sweaty, and starved of power ports like most every airport seems to be these days. I got picked up (lucky me) so I'm not really sure what the rental car situation is like. I also didn't eat, so not comment there.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Probably the fastest I ever received my bag at baggage claim. My bag was ready and waiting on carousel before I got there. Super fast service, Rental cars: have to go opposite direction to rental car counter regardless of status to pick up keys. Rental car agents not to helpful and didn't get car I reserved... still 5 stars... not the airports fault .

Yelp
I visited the state and this is the airport I flew into. I have been to a lot of airports. This is the best layout I have seen. It's a small airport but they definitely have everything figured out. There are some terminals but they have a good selection of restaurants and a coffee shop. They also have two arcades for kids to play at. They have free charging stations. There were massage chairs everywhere. The car rental is downstairs and the cars are literally right outside. The airport is do easy to navigate, clean, everyone is so nice. There was even a prayer room. Whoever designed this air is a genius. To say it took us like 5 minutes to get through tsa . Literally the best experience I had at an airport!

Suzanna T.

Yelp
I haven't flown in so long. coupled with that, I have sciatica and neuropathy. I was provided with a wheelchair, and everyone was super nice. the crew were polite, and friendly. I want to give Kudos to Boise airport, and all that work there. Suzanna Taylor
google avatar

Yelp
Date of visit: 3/8/22 A pretty small and unremarkable airport, though I do appreciate that the rental car return is so conveniently located. Drop it off and head right into the terminal! Options for shopping and dining are very minimal, and there is not enough staff to move passengers through the lines quickly enough, unfortunately. Options for coffee at 5 a.m. were minimal. This is the only airport that I have ever known to have an actual arcade inside it. Granted, it was small and not exactly boasting the newest games, but still--an arcade in the baggage claim area!?
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
About as expected for a smaller airport. Limited options for food, is probably the main downside. Additionally, the TSA precheck was moving extremely slow, possibly slower than the standard line. And then they stick a CLEAR expedited line right next to TSA precheck, for which their customers jump in front of TSA precheck. Not ideal. Aside from that; no major issues. Baggage check was quick/easy (United), and baggage claim also quick/easy.
google avatar

Shelby Z.

Yelp
I flew in and out of the Boise airport recently for the first time. It was pretty much what I expected it to be - small and simple. Everywhere was easy to navigate and I personally didn't have any issues. There's enough food and shopping to satisfy most. I had to take a hotel shuttle from here and there was enough signage to where it was pretty easy to know where to go.
google avatar

Dolores D.

Yelp
Pretty easy airport to go through. They even have arcade games inside. I'm surprised they don't have a Starbucks inside.
google avatar

Kat D.

Yelp
I can't believe that I am actually giving an airport 5 stars! Not only does the airport have Clear as well as TSA PreCheck, it is small enough to easily navigate, but large enough to get you where you need to go. They are undergoing some construction to expand the terminals as well as add more parking garages. I fly frequently and I am always able to get in and out of BOI quickly. They have several food options, Bardenay, Smashburger, and several other restaurants. Parking prices are really reasonable and I regularly leave my vehicle overnight or for several days while I travel and have not had any issues.
google avatar

Fred G.

Yelp
For a small airport it was very easy to get in and out of the facility. The people who worked for the airlines as well as general airport customer service were very nice and helpful. The two things keeping this from 5 stars is that there is no jetway that leads people from airport to airplane and old cold days that's a bummer also to drop off cars at rental car place it was very inconvenient as there were no street sign markings so it took forever to return our rental car.
google avatar

Eva G.

Yelp
Nice small airport. Very welcoming and I had a pleasant experience and not overwhelming.
google avatar

Ali B.

Yelp
I'm used to massive airports whenever I travel so Boise airport was a nice change of pace. Got in and out of there quickly, not too busy. Clean, some food options that looked good but I didn't eat there. Staff was nice which is also different from other airports I've visited lol. Everything went over well!
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
I mean, I'm not sure what kind of expectations are reasonable to have about an airport, but this one wasn't great. I arrived at 8pm and there was one option for food (after the only other option decided they'd closed on me while I was at the front trying to order because they were busy). It's a very small airport with two floors of gates. When we arrived for departure, the security lines were a bit of a mess. Pre check moved along fairly smooth but my friend's ticket was missing his pre check info so he ended up in the dreaded regular line!
google avatar

Justin A.

Yelp
Best airport in the country - seriously! TSA moves fast, there are smaller lines, and this airport is so small you can walk to each gate in 10 minutes! KBOI makes it so convenient with kids, you don't need to leave hours before the flight and then deal with nasty TSA agents, KBOI gets it right!
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
Even though it is the busiest airport in Idaho, I found it to be quiet. The airport is a three-story building with two concourses and 23 gates servicing nine airlines. The on-site rental car agencies are located on the first floor. When we were flying out, it was a breeze to return our car and go through security. We got there early, so we used that time to charge our phones. It was a painless airport experience.
google avatar

Richie D.

Yelp
BOIIIII (Love this acronym)! Such a pleasant and easy airport to navigate. All gates are technically in one single terminal, but C downstairs and B upstairs. Staff was friendly and welcoming. There are bottle filling stations, plenty of shops and eateries, breast milk stations for mothers and more. They show plenty of pride in their city's Greenbelt and trees. Parking can be limited but there is a shuttle that can take you to a large "Extended Parking" lot. They do have another parking garage for rental vehicles and another for the public being constructed currently for future expansion. Best part is the airport is only about 10 minutes drive outside of downtown Boise.
google avatar

Irena S.

Yelp
My husband and I have randomly been going to Boise a lot lately and this airport is literally so wonderful and makes travel here so easy. Given that it's only domestic it's super easy to navigate. Pros: - rental car area is literally just an escalator flight down from the terminal, gives fast and easy service - uber dropoffs are super easy here, never really any traffic - never super busy (even during thanksgiving week) - can really truly get there like less than 1 hr beforehand and you can walk right through security - lots of outlets everywhere - lots of options for sitting spaces - easy to get to if you don't have a car - has arcade games if you're bored Cons: - not a ton of food options
google avatar

Yelp
I'm from Hollywood California , so majority of the time I take LAX airport, which you can imagine is pretty much always a nightmare to travel, However!! Boise airport!!! This really is the gem airport it's so small, TSA is super quick here, the airport is super clean not many gates so you will get to your flight very quickly , the people around here are so wonderful, I will be coming back thank you for having me Boise
google avatar

Ben R.

Yelp
I am only passing through so I cannot rate check in, baggage, or TSA experience. Otherwise this is a medium sized airport with medium sized amenities. A local Boise brand is the pub above the C (Alaska) gates and two quick service options are here too - Einsteins Bagels (you either love or hate it), Smash Burger (after 11 am). Presently, only a few flights leave at or after 7 pm so most services are closed by then. Some travelers would be saddened or angered to learn there is no Starbucks in this airport. Solid Wi-Fi and well maintained spaces. A lot of good lounging space if you don't need to hang tight at your gate. Long layover today for me is pretty boring but at least it's sunny and warm.
google avatar

Mel C.

Yelp
Boise Airport (Boise, Idaho) This is easily one of the most convenient airports that I have ever been to. It's conveniently located right off the freeway and it's never crowded in here. The rental cars are located at the airport, the gas station is located at the airport's entrance, and TSA only frisked me 6 out of the 13 times that I've been here. The airport is small and restaurant choices are slim.
google avatar

Mylesha D.

Yelp
Getting there: Heading from the north, take 9th Avenue south, which becomes Capitol Boulevard, then join Vista Ave. Vista Ave becomes Airport Way, which in turn leads directly to the terminal building. Experience: This is a really small airport, which can be a hassle because there are rarely direct flights from smaller airports like ONT or PSP. Once you arrive, there is only one terminal so it's almost impossible to get lost.
google avatar

Jeffrey O.

Yelp
It's an airport. What did you think you were going to get here? I have to admit, it seems a bit odd to review an airport. Most of the time I, personally, read reviews here to decide if I'm going to go to a business. I'm going to guess that if you're going through the Boise airport, it's not because someone wrote a nice review about it -- it's because they have the plane that's going where you want to go. Seriously, if I wrote that this place smells bad, would you be like, "Oh, gee, cancel that plane ticket, we're just going to drive to Hawaii." No, you're going to go anyway. And this isn't a big transfer hub, so if you're in this airport, there's a high likelihood that you're there for an hour or two before you flight leaves or just long enough to get to your bags and get out. You're welcome for giving you something to do for a minute or so while you wait for your flight!
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
The Boise airport was much larger than I expected with better food options than I expected. TSA is fast and efficient here and the airport itself seems very new and modern.

Kent G.

Yelp
I do appreciate just about everything connected to the airport in Boise, except for the TSA folks. I don't know if the airport has any say in this but those folks definitely need to get on the same page with their training. One trip they allow many different things in carry-ons than other trips. One airport is definitely different from another. I feared delays in getting to the airport while utilizing the new long-term parking off-site, but my fears were unfounded. The only suggestion I'd make is to get the drivers to be a bit more "kind" with travelers who are using this parking. Many, including myself, do NOT know the names for the different parking stands, A, B, C, etc.
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
Very easy to navigate through and I even received some helpful assistance from a kind member of staff when I needed to find the right carousel for my baggage
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
sy to navigate, gates are close, usually the security line is pretty short and fast. There aren't a lot of options for food and things close pretty early and open late. Prices are insane but that's typical for an airport. You'll wait forever for food at most locations. However the airport is pretty clean and easy to navigate so overall they're doing a pretty good job. They need a lot more cell phone parking spaces though.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
A smaller scaled airport is usually a lot easier to get in and out of. It certainly was the case with this one. There's always this feeling of anxiety (very minimal, in my case - what, I'm not from around here) and excitement when arriving at an airport for the first time. But it was such ease getting out of the gate and getting to the baggage claim. The time it took to get out of the plane to claiming our bags was no more than ten minutes. Pick up/Drop off areas aren't a concern. Neither is parking. It was just as easy checking bags in and going through TSA to catch a return flight. TSA precheck made it even easier. Being an Angeleno, I was in a bit of disbelief (delightfully surprised) how easy it was. And did I mention every staff I encountered were all welcoming and laid back!? Might be awhile for that next visit, but it's good to know it's one of those airports I (or anyone) need not fret about.
