This was honestly one of the most disappointing wine bar experiences I’ve ever had.
I arrived around 7:00 PM. There’s a sign at the entrance saying something like “Welcome, please wait here to be seated.” So I waited. A staff member clearly saw me… and simply walked away into another room. No one came.
Only when my friend arrived did she ask if we could sit somewhere. We were immediately told, “There are no tables available, everything is reserved.” We were offered seats upstairs and told that we had to order at the bar.
When we went to the bar, I noticed that some of the “reserved” tables were booked for 9:30 PM , which was 2.5 hours later. No one even bothered to say, “You can sit here, but the table is reserved at 9:30.” Nothing. Just a flat “no availability.” Zero effort to accommodate guests.
We asked for a semi-dry wine. The bartender poured something and said, “This one is good.” No explanation. No mention of the price. We said okay. Then water was brought to our table, which we did NOT order. It was placed on the table and poured into our glasses without a word. Naturally, we assumed it was complimentary.
Throughout the entire evening, no one checked on us. No one asked if everything was okay. No one offered another glass. No one refilled the water. Absolutely no service. We sat there, drank one glass of wine each, and then went to the bar to pay.
The total bill was 785 CZK (about €32).
One 200 ml glass of wine cost 350 CZK (around €14).
The water we never ordered cost 85 CZK (about €3.50).
€32 for two small glasses of wine and unsolicited water.
This place is extremely overpriced and honestly feels like a tourist trap. Yes, it’s aesthetically nice and atmospheric. But there is zero real service. The space is small, the seating is uncomfortable, and the prices are completely unjustified.
785 CZK (€32) for this experience is absolutely not worth it.
I will not be coming back, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
