PROS: A lovely hotel with a nice lounge and friendly, helpful staff. This was in a great location to attend an event at the Munich Messe as it is on the underground line that goes from the main train station/city center, to the trade fair center. Only 10 minutes walk to the underground with plenty of supermarkets and some low-key restaurants also within walking distance. Not a particularly colourful neighbourhood, more suburban really, but convenient and pleasant enough, and very quiet. The room - a studio on the 4th floor - was lovely too with a small kitchenette, large TV, comfortable bed and a cute balcony (unfortunately too cold to use it but nice to have). Breakfast was great...lots of simple but tasty options and although expensive, worth it when travelling for work.||CONS: The heating did not work in my room. It was minus 2 degrees C outside. The first night I arrived late and slept badly due to cold but didn't realise the heating wasn't working. The second night I asked about it at the front desk, thinking I may have misunderstood the in-room controls. I was offered another blanket when, given the cost of the room during the trade fair (150 euro) and the weather, I believe that I should have been offered a room change. I basically spent all evening in bed, under two blankets...too cold to sit in the room without. I asked the next day whether the hotel was full but apparently it had not been. I should probably have insisted on changing rooms myself. I did mention it the next day when leaving and the front desk staff apologised, but didn't offer any kind of compensation either. Everything about this hotel was nice and I would recommend it (with heating!) so it would not be fair to give fewer stars. However given the cost of the room, I am writing this review just to emphasise to management what steps should have been taken (and hopefully they read it ;-)).
