Mario, seems like a nice guy, actually may be a con artist. Although the stay is almost too cheap to be true, many of the facilities he “offers” work halfway or don’t exist. I booked a double occupancy room for 3 nights in June, during the midst of a heat wave. 95 F or 34 C every day. His guest rooms, air conditioning units shut off at night to save him electricity bills. The internet never connected despite utilizing his verbatim passwords. The street is extremely busy, being one of the main streets in Bologna. So when you have to keep the window open to survive the night, it remains very noisy. This “bed and breakfast” is actually just one half of the 7th floor of an old apartment building. I booked though Hostelworld and was charged the small booking deposit, as is typical, but he charged the rest of the stay to my card before even checking in. To top it all off, the only decor on the walls are framed copies of old checkout receipts. If it sounds creepy and greedy, it’s because it is.
