Amazing food and excellent service all around! Happy hour can get pretty packed, but it’s absolutely worth it. The Order & Pay QR codes at each table make the experience super convenient; no waiting around for a server to take your order. It keeps everything moving smoothly, even when it’s busy. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Google
Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The atmosphere was nice and calm. Music wasn't loud at all, can still hold a conversation. Food was amazing and drinks were really good. Nice place to cool off. You have to stop be here.

Google
I really like their menu even though it sounds familiar to what you get a lot of places. There's still things that are different. Like my gravy on my chicken fried chicken was delicious and it had some kind of bourbon sauce with it. Made it amazing. The patio was perfect today. I would prefer outside the inside. It's too dark and too noisy inside. Service was good. Hamburgers look amazing! I'll definitely put this on my regular places.

Google
Bays is always a great spot to stop at when I'm back on campus. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. Good drink selection. When we went it was a very long wait for food...we'd only ordered fries. But we like this place. It's a classic.

Google
We've been enjoying our time at the table for about 32 minutes, and while our drinks and food arrived quickly, we haven't had a chance to get any water yet. A little improvement in service would definitely make the experience even better! On a positive note, I absolutely loved the chill vibe of the outdoor seating, and the jalapeño cheeseburger was fantastic!

Had lunch here around 2pm, wasnt busy, had great Crunchy Beyond Meat burger! Delicious. Quick and friendly service. Hip atmosphere. Loved it!

Google
The food was excellent. The restaurant was super loud. The loaded tots were good, but definitely not loaded. ABC Burger was very good.

Google
We had the pad thai fries, bombay club and the Justin's plate. All of it was good. I've had better so I don't feel like I can give it a 5. The chili had a little bit of heat but it fell flat, not a lot of flavor. I turned the salad and cheeseburger patty on Justin's plate into a salad and it was really good! I added pickles and onions too. The club was tasty but not a lot of meat compared to other club sandwiches we have had. The pad thai fries were interesting. They had a good tangy flavor but needed more toppings. I probably wouldn't order them again. The happy hour specials are good and the service and atmosphere are great! Perfect resting spot after an abnormally hot February day at the zoo!

Yelp
Awesome place to come have a drink n chill. Bartenders are on point and friendly. Like to bring friends and family here on a nice day.

Yelp
Tried the chicken strips and they did not disappoint! Perfectly crispy. The light ranch on the side was cool & creamy. Great portion size and full of flavor without being greasy. The fries were on point as well!

Yelp
On this visit to Bombay Bicycle Club I went for a lighter lunch and tried a salad and I was very impressed. They eclectic vintage decore is my favorite part of the restaurant and makes for a fun time with so many things to look at and take in. The restaurant was not busy when we visited but our server was efficient and helpful with our meal choices. We tried drinks as well and although I am not usually a frozen drink person, they were really good on a warm day.

Yelp
Thank you Amelia! Excellent service! I cannot believe the type of service I got. Cannot commend Amelia enough

Yelp
We've been enjoying our time at the table for about 32 minutes, and while our drinks and food arrived quickly, we haven't had a chance to get any water yet and they ran out of a few items in the menu. A little improvement in service would definitely make the experience even better! On a positive note, I absolutely loved the chill vibe of the outdoor seating, and the jalapeño cheeseburger was fantastic!

Yelp
First time I've been here in over 30 years! Fun, casual bar with good food! Love the funky vibe - ceiling painted with cool clouds and stars, bikes hanging from the ceiling. Friendly waitstaff. Happy hour runs till 7 pm - $4 margaritas, $6 nachos, and all kinds of drinks and eats. We had hamburgers and a patty melt with yummy hand cut fries, and Cobb salad, and all of us really liked the food. Fun time in a fun place!

Yelp
Amelia is great! She helped us so much and the food was amazing. Bomabays is a 10/10. Coming back!

Kailey B.

Yelp
Had the best time here! Amelia is the best! The environment was great and definitely recommend!

Yelp
My server amelia did an amazing job!! such an amazing experience at bombays at on thursday!

Yelp
The vibes are very cool but the food was not very good. Also, the drinks were watered down. I would come here if I wanted a quirky brunch with my girlfriends... or maybe to play pool in the back. Service was odd but everyone was friendly. It seemed like maybe they share waiters? Or maybe ours just forgot about us haha

Yelp
Visited this place for drinks on a Friday evening. Had a frozen margarita, which was super affordable for the time of day outside of happy hour. The inside has a bunch of seating at the bar, tables, sofas, etc. A very nice and relaxed place to get drinks and food. The bartenders were very nice too!!

Yelp
This was our second time visiting and both times different experiences. The biggest change we saw was the quality of food and menu. I'm not sure if the chef changed but here we go. The staff was very helpful both times and they do check up on you which is great! The restaurant can get quite busy and packed inside. The last time we went the music was a bit too loud but that's probably the vibe there. Later they started to play the game on the projector. The first time we went the food was amazing!!! The meat was seasoned perfectly on our burgers and they were definitely fresh. This second time not so great. Our food was cold and not seasoned properly. We had to add pepper and salt. The only item that seemed consistent was the kids grilled cheese. Not sure what changed but it was unfortunate since we that e found a new burger spot. We even went to the new location in downtown but the seasoning issue was the same. But at least the food was not cold. Hopefully they make improvements.

Yelp
This was my first time at what I understand is a long time San Antonio favorite. While I can see the vibe is definitely the kind of place you'd want to come and chill for a few drinks while exploring the endless decor filled with personal tales, it doesn't offer much else. The food was ok, and for the mini kitchen they are very forthcoming about in the story of their history can't exactly crank out five star meals but it's enough to give you the bar food you need to stick to your sides for the drinking you'll likely do. I'd honestly order the frito pie and scotch eggs again, but go ahead and skip the loaded fries. While the place was pretty dead so early in the day, service was slow and not in the since of laid back but in the sense of I think they may have forgotten us for a bit. I am sure the experience is totally different once they are in the swing of the day so I'll definitely be back to see how that goes, but wasn't blown away on my first visit.

Riley S.

Yelp
Reviewing specifically during happy hour. My whiskey was significantly watered down. It was $3, so I didn't expect a lot, but it was still disappointing. I would have preferred not to drink at all over receiving what looked like a well hydrated #1. We ordered the loaded fries and what a let down. This wasn't part of the happy hour menu - it's an appetizer. For $10, it was disgraceful. Soggy fries, a half squeeze of sour cream from the bottle, maybe a quarter piece of bacon crumbled into bits, and a tiny pinch of chives. Separate from the food, the men's bathroom has a brutally powerful sink that will soak your clothes when turned on and the door opens into your back if someone walks in while you're washing your hands.

Ggg O.

Yelp
Decent American food. We got turkey club and chicken fingers. Delivered quick, good service. Not bad but not the cleanest.

Yelp
As someone who went to San Antonio for a trip I relied on Yelp to help me find a place to eat with my friend. It's looked interesting from the pictures and we decided to go on a Friday for dinner. As someone who doesn't drink much I was mainly checking out their food. They had limited options as a vegetarian. After asking the waitress when she would recommend she stated maybe 3 items that were vegetarian. Me and my friend settled on the tater totes and grilled cheese and split it. They were both really good- food came out in a timely manner. It was one of those places we go and sit wherever then the waitress comes to you. People definitely don't come here for the food mainly happy hour I think. They had a pretty large outdoor area and inside was interesting with their decor. There were definitely a few flies we have to waft away but other than that I think this is a good drink place. One more thing- the parking was a bit limited. The lot where the place was had enough room for me and my friend but when we left people started parking in the lot next to this lot. I was too scared to because I didn't want to get towed. Just something to note.

Yelp
"Ated it, but Hated it" lol Very quickly, giving some acknowledgment to the atmosphere, decor and vibes. Very cool. Liked it. That's why this review has two stars. Now for the food. First, I have to acknowledge that I ate my food. lol I was hangry and hungover and after the long wait, I would have eaten a burnt rat. So there it is; the irony of my review. I ordered the "Bombetter Pattymelt." Which, is the "Bombetter Grilled Cheese" with a patty added to make it a pattymelt. It has red onions, green onions, jalapeños, chipotle mayo and like 4 different cheeses. All of that sounds great, but the execution was awful. The onions were raw. Which in the context of a hot sandwich is absolute insanity. The jalapeños were fresh and raw, not pickled, which again in the context of a hot sandwich is insane. Not only were they fresh and raw, they were rough chopped and chunky. So the sandwich was filled with raw cold onion and raw crunchy chunks of jalapeño. Not a great tactile experience. The bread was okay. The cheese was ~okay~ but wasn't fully melted and was still in cheese slice shape, which isn't what you want in a pattyMELT. Also, pattymelts are usually pressed on the griddle or in a sandwich press. That's a big part of what makes a pattymelt different from a cheeseburger made with bread instead of a bun. In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and say it; If a pattymelt isn't pressed... it's a cheeseburger with bread instead of a bun. THERE. SAID IT. So, based on that declaration, I was actually served a very crappy cheeseburger with bread slices instead of a bun. As for the fries, they were so sad, floppy and unmentionable that I shouldn't even be typing these words right now.

Yelp
I remember Bombay Bicycle Club from many years ago. At the time, there were a few in San Antonio and the drinks were delicious, fun drinks. I hadn't been in a long time and was slightly skeptical as to the food and service for this last visit. After all, there was only the one, and all others had been closed for what seemed a long time. So I was completely surprised at how much I enjoyed the food and drinks. Bombay's HH is very small and day specific. On the Wednesday I went; they had frozen Margarita specials. I ordered a frozen Margarita and the Bombay Salad with Blackened chicken. I also shared a vegetarian nacho appetizer. The food was pretty good and, although, the fancier drinks were gone, I enjoyed my frozen margarita. I love the feel of the place and the décor is very different. This is a very welcoming place. The prices were reasonable, and staff was friendly and helpful. I was very satisfied with my visit to an old favorite.

Yelp
The food gives a homemade feel. Our server was very attentive and sweet. I didn't catch her name. We went for dinner on a Tuesday, the ambiance was very quiet and not packed at all! We enjoyed our food. I got the Bombetter Grilled Cheese which was delicious. I'll get it again next time I'm in the mood for a loaded grilled cheese. And my partner got a cheeseburger with bacon! Will definitely come back again to try their other sandwiches and burgers!!
google avatar

Raycheal P.

Yelp
I'm so happy Favor gives refunds because these chicken sandwiches were not edible. Attempted to take a bite of the chicken and it wouldn't even tear.

Yelp
What a throw back to my college days! I missed this place when I left Trinity. The parking as always is a challenge. They have tables .. a few large enough for groups ... and bar stools .. and pool tables in the back. Walk in find a table or a spot at the bar. I had a margarita within 2 minutes. I had an app withing another 5 minutes. The black cherry margarita was tasty, loaded with tequila, and available during happy hour! The watermelon margarita tasted like a jolly ranger but had a serious after punch. They were way too sweet for me though. The app menu was diverse ranging from traditional nachos to avocado toast. The scotch eggs was my choice. The sausage was enough to hold the egg together and not too much to over power the eggs. A sauce with flavors like roasted red pepper or garlic aoli would have been nice. Burgers and sandwiches are a large part of the plate menu. The ABC was really good ... avocado bacon cheese burger. The side of chips has a savory salt mix coating .. really good!!! When bread pudding is an option for dessert, I can never avoid it. It had plenty of cinnamon, raisins, and an old-fashioned glaze, and it was really traditional. The service was attentive and timely. The percentages for tips on the app was 20, 22 and 25 ... with a default of 22 .. very presumptuous.

Yelp
We have been going to Bombay for weeks for Wednesday specials for their burgers. In the beginning, they were absolutely delicious. In the past 2 months, after going every Wednesday for months , the burgers went downhill. So we gave them at least 3 more tries, and nothing improved. I ask if they have a different source for their burgers. The answer was no. We recently made an order to go. No onions, 1 piece of lettuce, no cheese, and the meat was very tuff and not very edible. Sorry unless they improve their burgers we will no longer eat at the establishment. As far as the other food goes, it's OK, not great just OK.

Yelp
I've been coming to Bay's for years. Nowadays, it's rare to visit because I don't live in San Antonio anymore, but I happened to be in the neighborhood the other day. I came in the afternoon and ordered my usual Shiner Bock. The mugs that the beer is served in is nice and cold and perfect for summer. I got the bacon cheeseburger, another one of the things I'd usually get. It was just as good as I remembered it. In my opinion, there was a little too much lettuce, but I just took that off. 2 Shiners and the bacon cheeseburger was $22 before the tip, which is an ok price during these crazy inflated times. So happy to see BBC is still going strong!

Yelp
You can tell immediately this place is a classic! Such good food and super fun ambiance!

Yelp
$8 for a pint of Dos? Where's my lap dance? Been coming here off and on for 40 years. I get that prices have increased but seriously. Joey's on St. Mary's Street: $5

Yelp
First time here, came for lunch, ambiance was nice during the day. Service was different, they had qr code on the table that prompts you to order but we received table service, and multiple people tended to us. Service was okay, refills did not come automatically which disappoints. The food took abt 30 mins but we were warned so that's okay too. The nachos were a small portion but honestly they were really good. Burgers were okay, patty melt looked so sad though. Fries were meh. Overall it just was meh. One server took our order, another cashed us out, another brought our drinks, which is fine but never knew who to ask for things lol. But the gal that cashed us out was really nice. Ceiling was cute though. Decor was nice.

Ryan D.

Yelp
Called this place to ask if it was busy and lady who answered was a totally unprofessional definitely would never come to this restaurant ever again for being a regular customer

Tom C.

Yelp
We were seated on the patio and typically have good meal. Server after eventually taking out order and bringing drinks proceeded to ignore us. Another server brought food and basically abandoned it. No refills or stop to ask if order correct. Bacon on both plates missing and order cold. After waiting for check we finally went inside and paid. I would have felt it was just us, but observed 2nd server displaying same lack of care for other patrons.
google avatar

Pete D.

Yelp
Been coming here for years. Service is always good. The Bombetter patty melt is the best in town!

Yelp
This is the first time I've ever left a review on a restaurant in my entire life. I visited San Antonio for vacation across the street from Hemisphere Park. I was at a coffee shop in the park (very nice people) and their restroom was out of service. So I went next door to the Bombay Bicycle Club. I looked at the woman, I think a manager or owner, dead in the eyes with a look of concern because I had to go use the restroom SO badly. She looked right back and said "use the public restrooms by the splash pad" which was quite a walk away. I looked at her again in case she would show me mercy and she repeated herself "use the public restrooms by the splash pad". Listen, I get it. You can't let every Tom, Dick and Harry use your bathroom but I'm just disgusted by the lack of humanity. Compassion goes a long way and maybe I would have eaten there at some point during my stay had she shown genuine care.

Yelp
Food is always good every time we come. This is one of my go toos for a cheeseburger. The jalapeño burger is my fav . So cheesy & flavorful . The margaritas are also really good. Good spot to eat, drink, & play Games
google avatar

LaRonda G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. It has a cool vibe, and the staff is really attentive. They have a good selection of Happy Hour specials for those who want partake. We came for Burger Wednesday, and I had a delicious patty melt with bacon. The loaded fries were good, too, but could have used a little more melted cheese. My friends had a classic burger, a chili burger, and the sarachia burger. We all enjoyed our food, and it did not break the bank. The only downside was the parking, which can be a bit of a nightmare.
google avatar

Will D.

Yelp
Eclectic. The place is a blast from the past with good food and drinks. Good specials. Located in a great part of town, it's busy and a true hot spot. Overall, very good and fun spot.
google avatar

Rodrigo G.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice and semi nostalgic. Quaint place to meet and have a few beers and some bites. Food was nothing to rave about in my opinion. We went during a trivia night on a Tuesday and it was packed. It's loud and bustling and a nice little spot for drink but don't expect quietness for an intimate chat.
google avatar

Parker S.

Yelp
Food was great, cocktails are done well. Cool vibe! I've been to this location and the newer one at the Hemisfair park. They are similar but different. Worth checking out both!

Yelp
This place has one of the BEST happy hours that I've seen. FULL SIZED FROZEN MARGS FOR UNDER $4???? 11-7 Tuesday-Saturday The margs are absolutely delicious. The pickle flavor was surprisingly addictive and I haven't had anything quite like it. Black cherry was my favorite and tastes like a popsicle! The draft beers are amazingly cheap. On Sundays, there's a Bloody Mary special. We got ours spicy. It was actually spicy (QUITE a kick) which I loved! Honestly might be the best Bloody Mary I've ever had! The service is always fast and friendly. The servers are super attentive The inside of the place is adorable with a quirky/eclectic decor. The outside patio has a GIANT tree that shades it nicely.
google avatar

Sierra S.

Yelp
I was so happy to find this place again. I have wanted to try it for years when I was down near UIW. All day happy hour on Sunday!! $3 margs! The Bombay Patty Melt is so good and juicy. I got an egg added on and it was perfect! Safe distance and covid measures enforced. Outdoor seating A must go place!
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
I went in very unsure about this place. I left thrilled. The menu is great, the prices are great, the drinks are great. This is a college town ball of greatness. The loaded cheese fries were great. Perfect melted cheese. I had the True Philly. it wasn't the philly cheese steak I grew up eating but it wasn't Texas trashed cheese steak. I would get it again. The kids loved the burgers. Happy hour is until 7pm each night, including Friday! What?!??!?
google avatar

Teofila R.

Yelp
Hamburgers looked delicious. Bloody Mary was good despite the short glass. Philly cheese steak was good. The bun was soft and good. Preferred more onions. Waitress very nice and attentive. Other staff as well. The Scottish boiled eggs delicious .,the tater tots delicious

Yelp
Stopped in last week. As mentioned in a prior review we love this place. On this day in particular we had Troy, Ellis and Dixie stop by our table for one thing or the other. These folks are a master of their craft. They always make you feel welcome and always provide excellent service and that's coming from two people in the hospitality industry. On this day we shared an appetizer and split a club sandwich. We also had our usual frozen Margarita with a side of Gran Marnier to give it a little kick Great staff + great food = Repeat business

Fred P.

Yelp
Only poetry can really capture my feelings for this place where I spent so much time. And money. I recommend you bring money. holy sepulcher of my alcoholism dead and living breath

Lauren A.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was not great. They complete forgot about us outside and we had 2 servers.

Michael H.

Yelp
It's should be criminal to charge the prices they do for the "slop" they deem food. Whoever manages the ingredients should be fired. If you're hungry at Bombay eat your shoe, it would be more enjoyable.
google avatar

Vince Z.

Yelp
Great service, good food, good drinks, all the the right price. Place has been there a long time and always classic feel.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Came in on a week day with family to enjoy the sunshine and some burgers and drinks on the patio. Lovely ambience outside as it was a gorgeous day to get out and get away for a moment on a busy Spring day. Lunch service was busy but we got great service and everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and drinks were cold. Our server was very understanding when we had to order a special grilled chicken and broccoli for our little we had with us. Appreciated the niceness of our complicated order! Parking might be an issue as this place gets busy but I saw plenty of parking available when we arrived. Love the other spacious and semi-covered patio (closer to the inside of the restaurant) as I love the vines and greenery that surrounds you above your head. Excited to come back through again when I am in the area and hope to try more than their $5 burger special they (surprisingly to us) they had. I am reading they have such a great variety of choices to have from their menu.
google avatar

Daniel A.

Yelp
This place was built in the 70s and has a whole collection to show for it. A fun place to go grab some good food and a drink while you enjoy all of the memorabilia. Ordered the ABC burger (Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger) during the San Antonio Hamburger Week. The ABC hamburger was a solid choice. Just a good char hamburger with fresh ingredients, nothing too crazy but I enjoyed every bite. The scotch bites for an appetizer were a terrific choice. I've never had anything similar to these before. Hard boiled egg with sausage and bread crumb coating. Quite savory. Go find an excuse to go check this interesting restaurant out!
google avatar

Janie M.

Yelp
Cute and unique place. Food however was not too exciting. Everyone was friendly and the server was attentive.

Keith P.

Yelp
Walking into this place, it looks amazing inside. There are very neat pieces hanging from the walls and ceiling. Sadly, service was a dead-man-walking situation. Ordered one beer at the bar, asked if I wanted to order food. Ignored for the remainder of my 15 minute stay, no menu, nothing. I tried to flag the bartender down to pay because I got tired of waiting, considering the bar area was empty and they were more concerned with talking with coworkers.
