Bombay Story Indian Kitchen & Bar – Wokingham

Our first time at this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Family members had previously been and were so impressed with the food. We tried a selection of the tapas dishes and they were all so tasty 😋 The food is very reminiscent of the dishes they have at Dishoom, our favourite restaurant in London. We were there to celebrate a birthday and the staff brought out a surprise ‘Happy Birthday’ dessert. We look forward to returning for another delicious meal.

Lovely Indian restaurant. The ambience is excellent and it's beautifully decorated. The service staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is fantastic with a wide range of choice, including street food style plates and a great selection of starters and mains. They have 2 for 1 on cocktails and this is also inclusive of mocktails and no alcohol drinks which is great for those who do not drink alcohol. The food was exquisite and I will definitely return. Parking is free after 6pm in the nearby carpark which is also a plus.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was good, drinks were on offer with 2-4-1 cocktails and £5 pints. Thought the starters were particularly good, especially the chaat and the paneer. Made for a nice date night, food is upscale Indian and everything was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Really appreciated the amount of alcohol free cocktails and mocktails to choose from as well.

Honestly, my partner and I had our very best dining experience at Bombay Story. The cocktail menu was incredible. The food was phenomenal and the service was fantastic. Thank you to Chris and the all the staff. We would most certainly go again.

My husband and I visited Bombay Story for our joint birthday meal, having been once before a couple of years ago — and once again, it did not disappoint! We shared a selection of starters, each one full of flavour and beautifully presented. Knowing how generous the portions are, we decided to share one main course, and it was more than enough — absolutely delicious and very satisfying. A big shoutout to our waiter, AJ, who was incredibly attentive throughout the evening. He made sure we were never waiting for drinks and timed everything perfectly so we didn’t feel rushed. The whole team went above and beyond by surprising us with a birthday cake and drinks, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. We’re already planning to come back soon to try the lunchtime bite-sized selection — it sounds like the perfect way to sample even more of the menu! Indian restaurant. Great food & nice ambience but limited vegetarian options. Great service - the staff offered us complimentary mocktail & dessert as it was our anniversary.

Chris was a great waiter and the food was absolutely delicious and obviously high quality. The ambience was nice (great music taste!). Would especially recommend the Chicken Biryani and the brûlée

We came to Bombay Story in Wokingham to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. We’ve been regulars here for a while now, and every visit is a reminder of why we keep coming back. The food is consistently incredible – full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. But what really makes the experience special is the outstanding service. A special shoutout to Josh, who always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He adds a personal touch to every visit and truly makes the evening memorable. Thank you to the entire team for helping make our anniversary celebration so perfect. Already looking forward to our next visit!
