I’d shopped at Bombchel and purchased one of the most Lovely dresses in my collection. My family came to town & we visited the store; my daughter excitedly made a purchase and I was gonna purchase ANOTHER dress, until the owner became extremely rude…my family & her people were puzzled. Decided to NOT step foot in there again. My daughter even considered cancelling her purchase, but I encouraged her not to…despite the odd energy.

As we looked through the window of this shop, the hut caught our attention. We went in to browse. It’s a shame we didn’t buy anything because the retail rep. was very engaging. She took the time to explain how and where the products were made. I think that deserves A+ customer service.

I loved the designs and the staff was really nice, but after just 4 months, all the overpriced waistbeads I purchased (5 strands) have broken and the other beads I’ve been rocking for 2 years are still going strong. The dress I bought was nice, but I’ve also had to fix that as well.

Bought my daughter this outfit and waste beads. Great customer service. Owner has a passion for what she does. Thanks again!

Wonderful store & equally wonderful staff! The pieces made at Bombchel are individually hand crafted pieces made by master seamstresses in Ghana & Liberia. I love this store & its mission. If you’re looking for a unique & culturally relevant gift, Bombchel is the place to shop! You won’t be disappointed.

Yelp
This is a cute lil retail shop located in Ponce City Market. It's located on the second level on the end by The Village Market (another black owned business) and across from what will be Slutty Vegan's 4th Atlanta location. Based off of their social media, they just opened up in November. Bombchel Factory is a black owned and woman owned small business. I didn't really read about them until I got home, but I love the story and mission the owner Archel has created for her business. The store is open and accepting to all walks of life. This shop has a number of African inspired items and patterns which is displayed through clothing, jewelry, candles, etc. I was drawn to the tie-dye Atlanta Influences Everything long sleeve. The shirt is unisex and comes in a variety of color patterns. I will say the store and clothing is geared more towards women as there isn't really any men clothing that I noticed other than the unisex shirts or hoodies. There's a number of other things in there I'd live to get and will definitely be returning to get. I'd say their prices are fairly on par with similar shops/boutique style shops. The shirt I think was $60, which some may find on the expensive end, but it didn't surprise me for a small business as a lot of these items are hand crafted and there's no huge manufacturing things as major retail businesses would have. The two staff members that were working at the time were very friendly and helpful during my visit, and not pushy at all which I like. All in all, it's a cute shop and it's nice to see exposure to more small black owned businesses in the city, as well as in Ponce City Market.

Yelp
I patron at this store often and I'm always overly satisfied so I decided to write a review. Compared to other stores in Ponce City Market, this store definitely has it's own personality and vibe. Every time I go in, they make me feel so good and welcomed. Any time the owner, Archel, is there she goes above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of. If my size isn't in the store, she has offered to get it for me. The styles they have are high quality and the items are priced appropriately especially for PCM. I also love that they are more than honest about which items come from where; some are curated in Atlanta while most come from various areas in Africa. The best part about this brand is the back story, which everyone that goes needs to ask. I won't go into the details here, but just know every purchase comes with purpose!

Yelp
I love this little shop. Whenever I come up to Atlanta, I ALWAYS stop in to see what they have. I always get compliments in my tie dye and ice dye shirts. The store has more for women, and every time I'm there some people are trying on clothes and the way the staff gas them up when they walk out of the changing room Is very cool. You can like see a woman walk in unsure, then come out smiling from ear to ear. Sometimes a new Bombchel dress is the only way I can get my wife to wear some bright colors. It really is just super cool. The clothes are great. It's nice that they all tell you who made it dyed them. It's a Black-owned business but the clothes are for everybody & I love that.

Yelp
Archel Bernard Owner, Bombchel Monrovia, Liberia x Atlanta, GA USA #bombchel / @itsarchel Company and herself has the WORST customer service skills EVER. I particularly patronized this Company to support a Black Owned business; worst mistake EVER! I purchased three sets of waist beads. One of the set of beads started fading within days after my purchase. However, I live in a different state. After contacting her company about the beads, she responded rudely to me TWICE regarding the return of the beads and that I was going to have to pay to send them back. Imagine my feelings as a Senior Citizen who used her hard earned money on damaged beads. In fact, she accused me of not being nice about it and if I calm down she would respond. Hmmm!? Archel Bernard, you are the owner and should NOT be judging a paying client. The beads are damaged, faded and does NO longer signify the meaning of the color I purchased. The only reason you received one star because ZERO was not an option.
